Now her laning should be just about as bad as it should, but still should be able to accomplish something lategame(more overall dmg after 300AP).
You obviously never played Thresh. NOONE clicks on your lantern, ever. You can do the coolest plays in history, people will still rather die then click your lantern. I have seen people get ganked, me throwing a lantern right in their retreat path which would have saved their live, and them just ignoring the lantern, running through it and dying far more often then i have seen anyone click on that lantern.
And good luck finding a jungler who will ever come gank botlane with lantern assistance. They don't. You tell them "Come bot, come through lane, i'll give you lantern, free easy kills". And then they don't come, ever.
If you play Thresh, your lantern is basically a shield. The movement part of it is neglectable because NOONE EVER CLICKS ON IT.

Hmmm I dropped to silver 2 and I do click thresh's lantern and plenty of people know how it functions. People will get better at it over time. Oh right and in a few games already the jungler's been able to perform numerous sick ganks with lanterns. -> I don't believe no one clicks your lanterns.
Actually even when Thesh throws a random lantern in the middle of the lane to farm souls, I sometimes just go harrass the enemy ADC and then peace out with the lantern, getting free harrass in.
I don't also see how bad teammates -> Thresh isn't incredibly OP.

Even without the lantern saves Thresh is still pretty strong.

I don't think you know how MS works if you think that's like a 60 unit leap. l0l

That thresh lantern is a fucking 220hp AOE shield (more like 250 because of all the free AP you get). It doesn't even need the pull function to be one of the better support spells (and sometimes people even click it :>)
|
yeah, thresh is already really strong even without the lantern pulling. I don't see any skill level where thresh isn't at the very least borderline OP up until the point where ppl flat out can't land hooks, even by luck.
Also, I actually tend to notice that ppl tend to lantern to you at completely unnecessary times as opposed to not lanterning at all. i.e., you lantern up to auto harass, move back, and then ur adc walks up to the lantern just to jump back to you.

It's fun to do!
Thresh's E counters so many gap closers mid-air it's sick and I thought it was his least powerful spell zz. LeeSin wanna Q to you? No thanks you stay out.

I know people were talking about Fizz ignite/barrier all-in at level 2. I encountered it and happened to go AP Janna mid... seemed to deal with it pretty well. You can clear from a mile away (and instantly clear the wave), and the knockup/slow/displacement you get really punishes him if he all ins. I died at level 4 or so, even after surviving the all-in at level 2, and later on he couldn't touch me. :>

Ya well AP Janna beats EVERYTHING.

Know what I hate? How in low elo it's all about counters. I'm first/second pick and want to go mid. I'm either going to have to: a) trade someone (which many people in solo q dont do) b) just let someone else mid c) try to pick a safe mid and hope to god the other team doesn't counter. I just want to play my ahri mid, damn it!

It's not as bad if you set yourself up to do it. Perpendicular is near impossible, but if you do it directly "towards" the enemy champ its just a matter of knowing the animation time of Thresh's E.

At low ELO, counters don't matter because people are good enough to intelligently play a matchup to the point where they're abusing a lane advantage. Also, a lot of people have really skewed perceptions of what champions counter which, so people tend to "counterpick" champions when they're really just choosing even/fair matchups.

Hmm, Lux's Final Spark nerf is going to suck.

Well, you also get the opposite cases where someone gets a bad matchup and doesn't know how to mitigate the disadvantage and gets completely rolled.

I am incredibly glad for the Seraph's/Muramana changes, because I love Ryze, and unfortunately those two items (particularly muramana) were gonna get Ryze Olaf'ed (once Zed and Khazix were). Honestly, I initially thought Riot created those items as an excuse to nerf mah boy.
