i kinda stopped playing jax for no particular raeson but i never remember having too much trouble in laning phase
I don't see how singed doesn't hard counter jax without a ton of jungle help singed can pretty much ignore jax and just free farm and cause jax to miss farm and without jungle help jax will lose his tower fairly quickly
well under the assumption singed can always do all these things he does

Man I just do not understand ADC positioning. I get the whole "never die always shoot stuff deal" but it's really hard. Also kiting is a bitch (TOO MANY BUTTONS FOR MY SUPPORT/JUNGLE HANDS). Of course, I also decided I loved Ashe, so the whole kiting deal is TOTALLY MY FAULT.
Anyone have any tips about movement, timing, and where to stand as a marksmen? My mechanics are an entirely separate problem, but maybe I could improve a bit based on more general recommendations for ADC strategy (i.e. DON'T JUMP IN PLS) Aside from kiting, which is completely necessary, you need to learn how to read your opponents. Some are very dive happy and they just head straight for you and will blow all their skills, others will only commit if they see an opening, etc. You also need to know how your support plays, some of them will give you peel.
Know the CC of everybody on the team and their range, assume everyone has flash up unless you know they don't, and use your previous reads on the opponent to determine when you can get close to put on damage. All of this should be subconscious.
It's not that people don't want you to jump in, they just don't want you to eat a stun or get dived on.

Graves has me confused because I always seem to barely miss an auto or two, or 10 units of distance to kill people. He's super easy to go oom on, esp. if you burn Q, W and E during trades. I never know in which order I should use my spells in lane. I guess E->auto->Q interrupt, or if I can walk->W for the slow->start autoing -> finish with Q. Also screw cone spells, so easy to miss somebody at short range when you try to put the cursor on them but they barely move or there's the spell's animation and suddenly you completely miss. :<

One thing I'm waiting for though, will we see Monte at NA LCS ? *_*

What exactly is orbwalking?

On July 31 2013 03:36 Slaughter wrote: What exactly is orbwalking?
auto attack canceling with something that applies a slow (ashe frost / red buff) so that you maximize your chasing potential or kiting potential

On July 31 2013 03:36 Slaughter wrote: What exactly is orbwalking? Orbwalking I think used to mean attacking and then moving/cancelling the attack animation so you can move faster without waiting for said animation to finish. This applied a lot more in dota where cast/attack animations could get ridiculously long (crystal maiden comes to mind).

Is Kha still a decent pick since the nerfs?

In seriousness though, always find chance to initiate with W. Not only it confuses the enemy's vision, it also slows them down so that your support can join the fight.

why dont you pick him and find out?

I was never that great with him in the first place, if I picked him once I'd likely just get my ass kicked and then write him off as trash. Other people are better with him and know his status better than me playing him against someone who will likely kill me repeatedly.

Monte and DoA are at the Riot HQs at the moment. "Discussing casting" with the LCS casters. I guess they are talking worlds mostly but who knows they might try out at the LCS. I hope they brought their suits. I'm pretty sure that we're going to see them featured in one of the short videos.

im in the everything is viable camp (within reason)
you're just going to get super biased answers based on peoples recent experience or how fotm said champ is

2 real quick questions.
1: Is there a well established video guide for people starting to jungle? I remember in S2 when I started there was not, I just had to watch OddOne's stream and copy exactly what he did without knowing why. Been thinking of making such a guide, cpl hundred episode's long starting from "I don't even know what jungle does or what these camps are" to higher strategy all the way to wherever I am at the time (Gold IV currently).
2: Is Cinderhelm some famous player? Was in a game with him the other day and people kept asking him if he was the real one, had no idea who he was, just random curiosity.

For new junglers, you can watch some of Stonewall's vids. He's not the best, but the videos are good for figuring out paths, gank timings, gank paths, jungle builds, etc.
Cinderhelm is a Youtube guy. I think he does some casting and champ spotlight stuff.

Okay so as an ADC main and someone who's played a lot of Ashe you have to play safer than almost any other adc. You rely on the on your 600 range slows from autos and your volley for escapes. Taking Flash/Ghost is highly recommended also. When actually kiting try and use a+move behind yourself so that you wont move towards the enemy but still auto them at your max range. When no team is peeling for you try and hit a single q+auto, then move back, and volley when theyre right outside of its range. Keep the slows up as much possible as Ashe since she has some the best self peeling in the game. Also getting a Bork instead of bloodthirster helps a lot too. Standing in team fights is always in the back and keep everyone at max range from yourself as possible. When enemies gap close volley, then q auto and then just run back towards the team or anywhere safer before your next auto. Also try and save ashe ult for when the enemy team is grouped for an engage or to pick off someone in an unexpected duel.

He was big in WoW. Think he was one of the founders of Tankspot?

His single target damage with q feels really high, but his AOE has fallen off significantly since void spikes no longer benefit from unseen threat. End result is he tends to do a lot less late game, but is still pretty obnoxious in lane and mid-game. I've never really been super impressed with him post nerfs.
