Is it just me or is the whole concept of lotv losing hype?
I hardly see any updates and when you watch a stream (if there is any) there are only 28 people online world wide ...
I was really looking forward for this 'expansion' but as of late I'm starting to have my doubts ... Anyone else here feeling the same?

Beta is probably going to last for 6 months, and we are going to get changes every 1-2 weeks. In HotS beta barely anyone known was streaming, and Koreans were just playing tournaments in WoL and were pretending that HotS beta doesn't exist.
There are a ton of changes coming, new Terran unit, some reworks to the old ones probably, possible changes to the economy and a whole new set of strategies to discover by the pros.
And currently not many people have beta keys(or their account flagged, whatever). I am pretty positive that in 2-3 months there will be a lot of changes, a lot more people playing and streaming.

Hype lasted less than 5 minutes for myself. Simply too many issues remain from even WoL and feels like we're getting a bandaid to tide us over again. Unimpressed with the amount of time given and the quality Blizzard is suppose to strive for. I wont be joining everyone in LotV.

Honestly, I think it's good that LotV isn't getting too much hype right now. We still have about half a year before Blizzcon (and likely release date). Better most of the hype stay with HotS (as are most competitive pros).
Once the game gets more polish AND fewer players are in the WCS hunt I expect the streaming to pick up. That, combined with more invites (and probably "pre-sale access"), will drive the hype appropriately.
Also, hopefully we don't continue getting threads like this every week...

Hype is good when game is almost ready to play, the anticipation grows and more and more peope want to play and buy the game.
In (extremely) early beta, has LotV is now, hype serves no purpose, all is needed is testing and hard work. Better have 30 players that really test things than 1000 that just fool around for a few games then jsut stop it because it's boring to play a not finished game.
It's like the streamers, they all cried to have their keys so they could have these juicy viewers numbers but then they just stopped streaming it and went back to HotS...

Personally I haven't had any hype to begin with. They're just developing the game to a direction I dislike but I guess I'm in a minority there. To me LotV is appearing more like the one last cash grab from Blizz than anything else. I guess you're supposed to keep riding the blizz-will-fix-it-train. As for the beta it is still in its infancy and it's not good for the game to have too much hype behind it so early 'cause it will just die out before the release.

Game looks amazing, but it's easy to see that they're still focused on the new Terran unit and figure out which design goals are important. Whenever a big patch happens, everyone who has the key will jump on it again.

These threads are starting to lose hype. Honestly, what do you expect to gain from your thread post? The only problem with beta are the people trying to generate negative discussion. You are the reason less people will want to be excited about LoTV and visit these forums.

This is like the third hype loss thread wow. Oh well maybe it means more chance for me to get into the Beta!

Too early in the beta, not enough players because mostly pros and community figures were invited, etc. Learn to wait.
Closed.
