The ignore function is horribly broken. If you put someone on ignore, you can't read what they write in that game, and i assume also in the postgame chat of that game. However, if you meat them again next game, you can again read what they write until you put them on ignore again. Sometimes you can also read what they write in pregame chat, i think.

Any suggestions on where to look?
Make the guy who is trying to persuade you play with you so he can answer questions if they come up. If you want to, i'd play a lowlevel game or two with you and explain stuff.
Most changes are pretty obvious, and LoL has a lot less obscure mechanics (Not that anything would necessarily be wrong with having them in Dota) The most critical thing will probably be learning champions and their skills, and there is not a lot you can do to speed that up besides playing.
Question:
How exactly do the death streak rewards work? From what i know, they get reset only on kills, however, sometimes a guy that is 0/5 is still worth 300g. Do assists also count here?

Yes, although not the same way as kills do (it's not a full reset). It was a way of keeping supports whith high impact on fights from purposefully keeping their gold value low.

Assists remove 1 stage of the death streak bounty reduction. Kills hard-reset it back to 300.

Which lane should you as a jungler focus on helping back if they are all falling behind?
|
The one you can salvage. Also, the best way to do that are not random ganks, instead try guessing where they will dive and be there to turn it around. Ganks are a lot more dangerous if the enemy is ahead in lane, because if the enemy jungler is there, you will get raped hard, and even if not, depending on how far the enemy is ahead you might still not achieve anything.
|
How does the Varus vs Caitlyn lane play itself out? (assume supports like lulu/sona). Curious because I don't play much Varus but it seems to be a regular pick in Asia against Caitlyn's these days and the ones I've saw, the Varus ends up ahead.

Why does toggling Anivia's ult build tear of the goddess stacks but Karthus' E doesn't?
|
as of now anything that uses mana should charge stacks. in the past when e was a toggle spell with virtually no CD (singed q, etc) they did not charge with tear, now both should. (anivia's ult is a toggle aoe cast of sorts, but a spell that you casted on some ground thus qualifying for tear charging on the more selective tear)
|
Karthus E 100% does build tear charges.
|
Why does toggling Anivia's ult build tear of the goddess stacks but Karthus' E doesn't? the reason is: anivia ult costs mana to toggle, Karthus e doesnt (it just costs mana when it proccs dmg when it gives you tear stacks aswell
So technically you are correct, in reality not really

Varus is a really strong laner so he will be most likely be able to lane vs caitlyn and possibly win, I would say its a more or less even lane with varus having the ability to kill the lane, cait cant really kill but she could zone/hard outfarm

Hi guys
Very new to LoL.
How many attack types are there (normal/physical, magic, true) and what is the difference between them?
Also, I just learned something new I think.....is it true that every tueday, 10 new free heroes are available? I remember when I played LoL in december 2012....I could use Garen Ashe Ryze Nasus etc...now I can see Ahri, MF, Jarvan, Lulu, etc.
Thanks guys!

There are 3: Physical, Magic, Truedmg Physical= all autoattacks Magic = most spells(there are some spells which deal other types of dmg) + Lichbane autoattacks Truedmg= some spells The difference is the way to negate that dmg: Physical = armor, Magic= Magicresist and you cant reduce Truedmg

Red - Physical Damage Purple - Magical Damage White - True Damage

The free rotation is also always set up that you can form a complete team from it, meaning you usually have at least one of ADC, support, jungler, AP guy, tanky guy.
|
Ah never knew about the red purple white. Thank you
Anyway, when I see a skill it says
"deals 60 (+40) damage"
What does the 40+ damage mean? Is it showing me the damage im going to get when I next level it up?
|
If it is in green it increases with AP, if in orange with AD. The ratio varies per skill. The +40 is the current damage based on that stat.
|
Hmm...sorry mate, could you elaborate on that?
Basically I know it deals 60 damage, but what does the 40+ mean? Is it only in either green or orange, and cannot be any other color?
Plus AP = Ability Power (basically magic attack right?) whereas AD is attack damage (physical attack)?
