I agree with the lists for the most part, but I think Kog deserves to be top tier. He has the longest poke range in the game great zoning with E.

Some quick opinions on some champs and their tiers (even though I agree that the list is for the most part useless/just for fun):
Zilean > Jayce? Zilean> Yi? I strongly disagree Maokai - sapling spam is very OP poke, can be even better than nid spears in certain situations. Jax - extremely strong late game, should be at least gold tier. Same with AP nunu. Tryn - as much as I love playing him, he is bronze tier in ARAM. Curious if people think AP or AD tryn is better for ARAM, I've never had much luck with AD tryn in ARAMs... would trade him for Olaf any day. Blitz? Platinum at highest. A really good blitz might make you think he's top tier, but there are enough bad blitz out there (i.e. me) that he's not even close. Noct and Darius should switch positions - at least noct has poke Kog'Maw > Varus, ad or ap both work well Nasus is at least gold - super strong late game, all of his abilities are useful Swain should be at least plat if not top tier, one of the strongest ults for ARAM Volibear, Elise, Warwick, Wukong, Zed, Mundo - all gold tier at best Galio, Veiger, Malzahar - at least plat

So you're a melee champion and you can't get anywhere near the enemy team without eating a million damage? The obvious solution is to hang the hell back, twiddle your thumbs, and wait until you hit level 6 so that you pose a legitimate threat. You aren't helping your team by eating poke (unless you're blocking for your squishies/poke), so sit back and stay healthy until the time is right.
Level 6, FIGHT!
The game dramatically changes once champions start hitting level 6. Be prepared for your opponents to suddenly press the attack if they're going to hit 6 before you. Being healthy and ready for the big level 6 brawl makes a huge difference, enough that it's often wortwhile to simply die beforehand so you can be healthy in time for the fight.
This is a pretty accurated representation of the ARAM "metagame", and indicates what is wrong with the mentality of many inexperienced players.
Since the new queue was introduced, I've seen quite a lot of players lose all hope the moment they saw the enemy team had a heavy poke comp (like Nid/Jayce/Xerath etc). While they might have dodged earlier, they now start to panic and afk, leave or feed because they feel like they don't have a shot.
However, taking the principles of patience and choosing the right moment to fight into account, poke comps aren't all that scary. While it may seem boring and ineffectual, waiting out the first few levels behind the turret, giving away as few free hits/kills (might even designate a "soaker", Garen does this insanely well) as possible while hopefully clearing the waves of minions rushing in will set you up pretty well for the rest of the game. Poke comps usually cannot capitalize on the pressure they can put out early - your tower will take a lot of punishment, but should last you long enough to hit a timing window for a decisive counterattack. Many of the most popular poke champions (Nidalee, Jayce, TF are just some examples) have a weak point at level 6, and another hole in their play at level 8. A quick and decisive attack at these key points can quickly turn a match around, especially if you have several melee champs with potent ultimates that will just run up and crush the life out of the poking champions desperately trying to run away. An equal window of opportunity opens around level 11, though few games are even at that point. Later, poke combos actually gather enough power to shred tanky champs and crush towers - but there's little reason to let them get to that point.
The most scary thing I've seen on single-lane maps (contrary to ARAM on SR, where these comps are borderline useless thanks to better sustain options and slower leveling) are bruiser-comps, with a support-ish AP or a heavy AD/AP carry behind them. Wait out one of the timing windows named above, pop gap closers, right click, win teamfight - increased leveling speed, high base stats and damage values and low item thresholds make bruisers the dominant force for the period in which most ARAM games are decided - between 12 and 20 minutes. A support-ish AP champ with focus on zoning (Orianna is very good here, Janna fits decently, Zilean is great) will help them finish the job early, while the AD lategame carry (or AP equivalent, e.g. Cassiopeia, Karthus) would have enough protection to carry the game even after the bruisers' strongest period is over.

DFG + Lich Bane gives you the assassination potential you need to eliminate a squishy opponent. Also, don't underestimate the damage your clone does (300-600 + 100% AP). Rush DFG, Gunblade, Lich Bane. This is the not-so-secret assassination AP build. You just hang around the edges, and rush in when a fight happens. Always ult clumps of enemies for the shield (it's rarely worth it to ult just your kill target unless they're near full health and you don't need the shield). Regarding the tier list, I spent 5 minutes on it. I figured people would yell at me no matter how much time I spent so I took the easy way out and I'll just move people around if I think people's complaints are valid. So Jax, Poppy and Kha'zix just moved up. I'm not moving Veigar or Malphite up because they're good, but aren't universally effective the way Nidalee is. Master Yi stopped being Neo tier when they nerfed his resets, it's not too hard to either control him or have a setup where he's just not going to have the opportunities to get resets. Anivia isn't Neo Tier because her early game isn't anything special. Zac is strong in general, but it takes a bit for his tankiness and sustain to really kick in so he's platinum and nothing more. A well played Teemo doesn't care about Hextech Sweeper and will just dominate everything (I've had multiple games were opponents gloated in all-chat that they'd rush a Sweeper and make me useless, nope). Fiddlesticks isn't Neo tier because it's really easy to walk into team compositions where getting a good ult off is going to be difficult. Miss Fortune simply isn't as good as Ashe, Tristana, and Twitch; her poke is okay, but not great, and her damage falls off hard later on. Sona isn't Neo tier because, good as she is, she can't really compare with Alistar.
I doubt any regards to the tier list should be seen as yelling, since you took the time to make an incredibly detailed guide of a map that has been on live-servers for 3 days now? I salute you bro, i'm way too lazy myself

Nasus needs a bump in tier (AP style). I find after my games with him I've most likely dealt the most magic damage to champs as well as a decent amount of physical damage. For the early match I just farm pretty much. E is hella easy farm. Always does a surprising amount of burst damage and then people decide maybe they shouldn't be in the circle but then wither and I FUCKING BAM BAM BAM MUTHA FUCKA LICHBANE Q RAM UP ASS FUCKIN' DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE

FYI: Tear of the Goddess is a terrible item for AP champions in ARAMs. It works on Summoner's Rift because you constantly go back to fountain to heal. Here, there is no healing, you just run out of mana and wonder why the Nidalee with Chalice/Athene's on the enemy team is able to spam heals, traps and spears constantly without running oom.
