Inviting IM to tournament for 150k$ because of one game in Masters? Are you fucking serious. KT Rolster is well-established name, it's basically same stuff like with TPA invite over ahQ for example. Probably Carmac dreamed about inviting SKT T1 K, then suddenly it appeared that they're not able, Ozone failed on previous international showing but KT had free schedule.
Just ask yourself. You will come to watch inSec and Ryu? If i were able, i would have came for sure. Just to watch them raping every other team to rematch with Gambit.
And about losing to "mediocre teams". LMQ was same meat in LPL as let's say, Curse are in LCS. Even worse. What can happen with LCS if you add there a "mediocre Korean Team like Najin or Samsung?" 27-1 with losing in last game because they will pick Heimerdinger, 1.01 coefficient bet?

i was not talking about inviting im. pls what are you even responding to.

Considering how bad almost all these teams are playing right now, KT B isn't that out of place. Not sure why people wanted Roccat so badly. They've been on the downhill as well. I guess nothing beats fnatic's terribleness though.

Because ROCCAT is polish team and tournament is played in Poland? Also despite their recent loses they are still top of the EU LCS.

:O these groups, so excited.

Groups were announced for IEM.
iG, Fnatic, {M} and TPA in Group A. KT B, Gambit, C9 and WE are in Group B.
Ohlol. Considering Fnatic nowdays, iG and TPA have good shot in advancing from A. Cloud 9 are on their road to lose to everyone as well.

It's unbelievable but I just can't get over the fact how salty I am that those aren't the old magical Bullets with Kakao. Still really hyped for the tournament, but a little bittersweet. Big YAY for double elim.

It's double elimination for groupstage or playoffs?

Also I support Double Elimination. Playoffs I assume. Cause even with single elim you'll see each team play at least three times.

Then it's kinda sad. Especially if groupstages are bo1 lol.

Idc if C9 bombs out, all that matters is they get more international experience. People seem to forget they've been a pro team less than a year.

Bo1s are fine. If you really deserve to advance you shouldn't lose more than 1 game.
KT/iG WE/Gambit
For Ro4 most likely. Though that might mean WE - iG for Ro4.

TPA will get smashed. Sorry.

I really, really wish I could watch the old KTB in international competition but this will have to do

I totally agree with this dude
I still think KTB has really strong lanes compared internationally, even if KTB is not what they used to be right now
also, ryu is not (and should never be, hopefully) worlds dade
please don't dismiss KTB just yet
