It's a really good interview, worth checking it out. So who is out there and has good enough English and League skills to play for CLG? Zorozero might be the obvious answer depending on if his team makes the LCS, his contract and how much money CLG wants to throw at him. Maknoon would be funny but I don't think that he suits CLG at all. Anyone else? Could they just buy ZionSpartan? Like you said obviously Zorozero would be the one CLG would like to have most, not sure if he would be ready to leave his team though. But maybe the money will convince him. And yes outcome of the relegation will be very important The other ones in Europe with competetive experience and that might be available are Kev1n and Jwaow. There might be some more in the amateur scene, but CLG is not exactly known for picking up unknown talents. So yeah not really that many possibilities.

Maknoon would be funny but I don't think that he suits CLG at all. Anyone else? Could they just buy ZionSpartan? No reason to buy Zion, he's terribly inconsistent and it doesn't solve all problems with CLG toplane which is basically laning phase when Nien rarely WINS, not only going on par. Zorozero can be terribly expensive for CLG, NiP are big organisation but if they don't make LCS, Heaton might sell him cheaper if it happens. I still ok with possibility of getting kev1n, there will be no reason for Millenium to have this roster anyway and i expect Creaton and kev1n to search for LCS teams ;_; Ofc if they lose l0l. Damn it Nien ;_; I really attached to this guy for last 2 splits. And this Doublelift interview is just like every Liftlift interview - blunt and honest. And he's right about "toplane is accessory right now" and lack of toplane talent in NA. But i really bet my money on toplaner from NiP/{M}, depending on who loses tonight. And Jwaow won't leave G2.

Zoro had offers after NiP failed first time and he didn't leave, so this time will be no diffrent. Also he would take offer from EU team over CLG.

A lot of things chance in that time frame. And failing promotion the first time is a lot different from doing so again a second time. Esp considering the level of there opposition they will be up against.

Last time Zoro was getting offers because mithy was going to take a break from Challenger scene because of ping in Spain (it was even before they started to live in gaming house), also hyrqbot said that his time is over. Everyone was concerned for a reason. This season if they fail it will be a completely different story because if they fail now, they're out of being contenders for Worlds + dexter factor and lack of strong teams in NA is strong. Dexter came and succeed in CLG, why can't Zorozero succeed in "Accessory role", knowing that his jungler with which he was rolling last summer is near him?

Anyway, Nien stepping down is a step in right direction, but I wonder why does he want to stay Top. Is it because he thinks that's where NA lacks the most and still wants to fill that niche, or did he just completely forget how to play ADC to the point of no return? I'd be sad if it was the latter.

Kev1n on the other hand was my prediction for Nien replacement for long time because 1) he's decent nad probably will be teamless 2) Monte thinks he's good I think? 3) he's part of GEM just like CLG and Monte (and no other LoL pro player), so some possible connections. Yellowstar, for example, said in his AMA that he won't be able to play as competitive ad anymore, i don't see why can't Nien feel the same. And people tend to forget that he was decent midlaner before adc. Anyway, i guess, we will know in 1-2 weeks who will be new starter for CLG, because split starts in a month and this time CLG can't let 3 weeks just slip up.

CLG has said that they will look to recruit from asia as well as europe, but that they also require fluent english. an american born GEM client living in korea would have like 2-3x the monte connections that kev1n does right? especially when you consider that monte is always trying to learn more about korean coaching methods, who better to add to the team than someone who has spent time living in a korean gaming house? all the evidence clearly points to CLG.LastShadow imo. i mean he might not be better than kev1n and zorozero now, but CLG roster decisions are all about that potential.

Also saying hat ls is popular on TL is pretty off I'd say. He's definitely very known and equally controversial, though. But who the fuck knows. Personally I don't think Nick would even want to leave Korea at all.
