This makes me wonder if Qt just got cut though, and that his problem wasn't so much not having friends on the team, but more being unable to stay focused for the whole split (not learning Tristana until it was too late, etc). They kind of have to, they need to keep 3 players to keep their spot. No they don't, I don't know why people keep repeating this when it's emphatically false. That 3/5 rule is only for keeping a priority spot in the expansion tournament. An already qualified LCS team can replace their entire roster if they choose to.

like you have to be a legit contender to carry your team to justify that, and in the case of support that means you have to be like top 2 in the region Krepo is exempt.
It could have been Korean top, Crumbz, Shiphtur, Vasili, Kiwi or Korean top, Crumbz, Shiphtur, Vasili, Krepo.
edit: On a 2nd thought, maybe not. This is kinda tricky because its about the order in which you add people to the team. They could not have added the Korean top after already having Krepo + Vasili on the team. But they could have added Krepo if they already have Vasili + Korean top on the team. Tbh idk how this works when both are added basically at the same time.

A team that drops out of LCS that is in the expansion tournament doesn't have this restriction because the seed into the expansion tournament is owned by the team. The LCS spot is owned by the players to stop an org from just wiping a roster.

The LCS spot is owned by the players to stop an org from just wiping a roster. Please, you are wrong. Returning LCS teams can bring 5 new players if they want to. We said it so many times already. Keeping 3/5 players on the roster is only needed for promoted teams. And you cant take more than 2 players from one other team. That are all restrictions, except the resident ones that come on top.
https://riot-web-static.s3.amazonaws.com/lolesports/Rule Sets/LCS Rule Set 1.05.pdf
No team may have on their roster more than two players at a time from any single starting lineup of a different team that played in either region of the LCS and/or any aspect of the Challenger Series (including play-in) in the last two completed Splits. A Challenger Series team that wins its promotion match must play at least 3 members of the active roster that earned the spot in the LCS in the first game of the split.
You will see this with LMQ. They wont bring 3/5 players when they return to LCS.

I spent like 20 min trying to look it up after I got corrected, the rule either no longer exists or never existed

Dig are now taking applications for top and adc, so I guess the Vasilli dream is dead.
Good luck finding a quality adc who will want to lane with Kiwikid.

Might be one of those gleeb "tryouts" where they already have someone in mind (core or vasilli?) To be a tad conspiracy theorist they approached vasilli then heard about core's question about joining dig and decided to switch to tryouts to try to get core. Obviously this is all baseless conjecture and I might just be totally bullshitting

I'm starting to wonder if they're actually just going to re-sign everyone and this is some elaborate joke designed by Qt and Scarra

Dignitas should have just blew it up and start over from scratch with shiptur/crumbz combo. But idk why they kept kiwikid instead of waiting for after the promo-thingy for talented supports to pickup. Dignitas have been silent on Shiptur so far iirc, wonder whats going on with him, i'm just hoping for CLG Shiptur.

Lol, Mill doing what they do best : buying good players, fail to manage them, fail in tournaments. Can't wait for the whole structure to disband.

Pshh, my tryout was great. They got really excited when I picked Shyvana jungle and then camped top for Dyrus's Mundo.

I just now realized why Coast players were so upset when Santorin left. First I thought they are ok since they could still get a good replacement with them having a seed for expansion tourney. Maybe even someone like Dexter, KottenX, Impaler or some decent Korean. The problem is they lost their spot for expansion tournament. You need 3 of the 5 players that played in promotion tourney to retain the spot. As they already kicked the 2 fail Koreans (Ringer and Miracle) with Santorin leaving there are only 2 players from promotion left, Mashme and Sheep. So they would have to grind through ladder now, which might also make it harder to find a good jungler. Still some other expansion tournament teams also formed late, so they could still do it with some effort.
