Giants vs Alternate is most likely a way lower level game than SiJ vs CW as an example of the randomness. I'm not sure what can be done to solve it, possibly extending the time to play the playoffs and putting in group play. I would agree, the best possible way would be for the strongest Amateur team vs the weakest LCS team (on paper) So example some form of group play for the Amateur teams in this qualifier, highest team goes up against the lowest team of LCS. (DB) Number 2 will face (GIANTS) 3 will be against (aAa) and forth will have a rough night against (Wolfs).

I tweeted at Ariel Horn @ArielHorn about it several times, and she ignored my question everytime. It's really sad.

It's BS to pair teams up by how "good" you think they are. Also, stream goes unwatchable right when giants start raping T.T

Having the amateur teams play a bo3 groupstage would make much more sense. Winner plays weakest (by placement) LCS team.

The teams might not agree with the "on paper" ranking of the teams they are supposed to play against and rather try to lose their games to get teams they think are asier. For example aAa are second best LCS losers on paper, but because of their roster changes they are maybe the weakest one atm. So amateur teams would all try to lose games so that they can face them.

DB got last yet might get more lucky then Wolfs in who they face ... that makes little sense, same for the amateur teams. If you get last in LCS it's only fair you face the strongest of the amateurs instead of a random one.

True that is a fair point, that might be a flaw in that idea though i would personaly see Dragon Borns as even a weaker team. Maybe a some pricemoney for first place could fix that.

How do you rank them "properly"?

Seems there's a post you missed? What was spoken about was the LCS teams are ranked in order of how they placed in the season then amateur teams play a group stage where winner plays vs 8th team 2nd place vs 7th etc. but Redox pointed out that the teams might consider 8th harder than 7th so intentionally lose games etc. edit: Why do Ez's blindly go the blue build. It seems so shit in this situation.
