For aAa the loss of dioud who was the main reason they edged it over giants is why they're out, giants were pussies and threw their matches by doing nothing it appears 10 weeks of LCS taught them nothing of ending games so tbh they deserve to be out. Dragonborns went to shit after spontexx/malunoo got benched. I'd say though it's both the new teams are pretty good since the collapse of all non lcs teams has left talented players (And well, cunts) to band together.

Especially if you consider that the teams that made it now even had trouble to qualify for this promotion series. So it could have even been other amateur teams standing in their spot. The 8 amateur teams that qualfied for this promotion tournament were all quite good and imo all could have made it into LCS on a good day.
Also these teams are often used as scrim partners by the LCS teams and from what you hear they are able to beat them quite often.

I mean, people were surprised at some of the teams that initially qualified, so maybe it's not that shocking when some of those teams fail to repeat that performance?
I don't know what better formats there are, at some point it's going to come down to teams winning bo3/bo5 against another team.

This xerath feels kind of underwhelming still struggles to kill a TF despite throwing his kitchen sinks at him
|
Lichbane and Twin Shadows too stronk, Xerath can't ever kill TF because Bjergsen will walk out of range while extinkt finishes casting his ult.
^ tear and Morello Xerath. Doesn't have the AP.

Wolves are so good, it honestly feels more like a top 5 of EU with wolves and everyone else fighting for bottom three.
