Not completely sold on GGU or Vulcan but the big names really haven't been that impressive either. Quantic probably won't finish top 4, definitely not top 2 or first. Beating coL/amateur teams and beating top LCS teams week in and week out are different things. They are still an incredibly solid team, Top 4 isn't out of the realm of possibility. I'm expecting a Top 5 kind of deal sort of like EU has with ex-Wolves. I'm not sold on them as #1 though, MonteCristo was proclaiming them to be the best NA team already on Twitter. I'd like to see some head-to-head match ups first.

Lol, so little faith. CLG is gonna finish top 4 easy and if they play at their full potential they're going to be top 2 no problem.
Only thing that puts any of that into question is how much Quantic/VES change up their line ups, if Curse drops Cop/Rhux for someone else (maybe Nien and idk who else since Lemonnation and patoy requalified), or if Vulcun/GGU can play LCS as strongly as they played at play-offs (which is doubtful imo).
CLG showed some real improvement these qualifiers. I'm far more scared about Dignitas finishing well in the summer split than CLG.

gg wp CLG !!
and lol and you guys speculating it's spectator bug, and infact chauster just didn't realize the second pair of boots until his 4th or 5h recall :D guy was probably shocked to base with more than 1k gold on his first back after he was underfarmed for 12weeks.

y'all are crazy if you ever thought CLG had a chance to be knocked out have some faith in your boys! azure cats had good players but like i touched on earlier, CLG outclassed them in every lane, especially their bot lane which was arguably their best lane
dig scared me in game 2, i was expecting 3-0 but i knew they wouldn't lose
part of me wishes they had though, lol. if azure and TS got in, we would make playoffs/top6 100% in the summer split

CLG lost to every other team in the LCS spring season, thats why people dont have faith anymore. Even if they 'outclass' others on paper, CLG has the habit of losing anyway.

they've always had the potential though. i still would favor clg over any other NA team in a BoX vs a top tier international team given their playstyle and their peak performance ability.

OK, so I know it's from Saturday, but I was really disappointed in MRN's play. They have been paid to play together for months now, but VES just crushed them with teamwork. Individually I think most of the match-ups were in MRN's favor, but holy objectives Batman.
While game 2 was the most obvious example, I thought the themes of that game carried through to all 3 VES wins. They simply did a better job of focusing on the things that create early-game leads and space to move; turrets and dragons. Clakey was basically a non-factor and led to a lot of 5-4 that created big advantages.

Ecco was also a big letdown. He doenst have that oompf that other AP mids seem to have. No fancy plays but no steady farm either. I dont know, always been my least impressive MRNer

For a while there it was pretty much a 2v1 lane with rammus flash powerball ganking, and he still stayed ahead of Shen all game long.

Sounds like you have low expectations with CLG, if you get excited about them being easily top 4. That's how they finished in Spring, and look at the disappointment from them, and fans. They had an extended period of time to practice for an over hyped team with jiji. Nothing really to get excited about.
Then to add the worry about other teams potential roster changes. Add the fact that the only team CLG had a over .500 record with is out of the LCS. With the replacements looking better. Dark time for CLG. Perhaps I was wrong, and in fact a 4th place finish is high expectations.

What I'm most curious about is what's going to happen to Nientonsoh. Guy has by far the most star power out of the players who are no longer playing in the LCS. I wonder who will be the first team to approach him. I want to say Curse because their bot lane is their weakest link and they seems to be a team most driven by success, even at the cost of replacing a player.

I was actually thinking that CLG seem to look way better in a BoX where they prep than just these standard bo1 season games. It's kind of the opposite of Curse where Curse looked best when no one was really preparing anything special and they were just playing their game. CLG is one of those teams that can prepare strats for specific games in BoX kind of like the old WE at worlds. Makes me sad that LCS is a bunch of Bo1s instead of a BoX. So much more story with BoX

Nien needs a team that is as good in picking spots as he is. Curse might be good, the only other team that comes to mind with a weak adc is vulcun... but zuna is zuna and will be vulcun forever I think...
Or they can just bench doublelift. Thatll be fun... Atleast for me to watch
Curse seems to be the only option tho, all the teams have pretty solid ADCs

Curse won't replace Cop I don't think. Not unless he comes out playing terrible in the beginning of the LCS, but Saint has always given me the impression that he likes Cop for doing the most he can on a team that mostly gets carried by flashy top and jungler players, and one of the more consistent mid players.

Depends where Curse's goals are. If they're looking to compete internationally at any level; they will have to get rid of Cop at some point; and pick up a high level ADC. Nien being a great choice. But, if Curse is just looking to be a force in NA LCS, keeping Cop will work just fine. Cop just needs to boot camp with a good ADC and learn to go HAM occasionally.

I think CRS might pick up Heartbeat, I think he's the most talented of the supports who didn't qualify out there, and Rhux is just not cutting it for them at the moment. Cop hasn't done anything to warrant getting dropped from the team, he's been their most consistent player, so I doubt they'll pick up Nien and drop Cop. I think what's actually most likely is that Quantic will reacquire Nien and move SneakyCastro to sub, and then be officially the most terrifying team in the summer split.

I think they will give Rhux a little more of a chance to adjust to the role. When he played Support in the playoffs he only had a week to practice with the team and adjust to the role, he mains Top so I think with more practice he has the potential to be a solid Support. As a fan I would love for Curse to pick up Nien. I like Cop...but Nien soooo good. I think that would be a missed opportunity on Curse's part.
