Kwame Brown) just because of their rare physical attributes. Guys like Lebron James can probably play multiple sports as a professional athlete easy. I'm willing to bet my money that LBJ could become an NFL player right this second and that if he wanted to, could have been a professional soccer player or baseball player. He is just that physically gifted and athletic. just curious, do you watch basketball/NBA? Wow, you really have a hard on for the NBA. I'm not even sure what you are arguing anymore, because there are chinese people in the Nba who do very well. It kinda seems that the core point of your argument is that Americans / nba players are genetically superior to other peoples / races... But I mean a Racist and irrelevant argument like that would have no place in a lol LR thread, right?

Some soccer players are quite athletic too but I think there is a lot more emphasis on "skills" as there are some players who are pretty tiny/not amazingly athletic (ie messi) but are extremely good. I've seen many basketball players who were said to be able to play at pro or near pro level in other sports (LBJ, Steve Nash, and Nate Robinson who is/was actually quite good at football, etc.) but haven't seen it much the other way around. did we all suddenly forget bo jackson?(football/baseball) Truth is, any talented athlete can go cross sport, I'm sure lebron can play any sport he pleases. So can MJ, or Wayne Gretzky, or Roger Clemens. The reason you don't see many football players cross sport even though they can is b/c football is a significantly more physically and mentally taxing sport then Basketball or Soccer. In Basketball and Soccer, you do not need to memorize a 1000 paged playbook. Granted you do have to figure out formations and tactics, but they are no where near as specific and measured as a football play. Even if you have the time and capacity to memorize the professional plays of both sports, football still requires you to "build" a certain way, and you'd need the physical capacity to do that.

I'm arguing that basketball has a player pool with overall more athleticism that can't be emulated by sheer "enthusiasm". Original post was about how China would be better than NBA if they had the same interest/passion for basketball which I completely disagree with. You just happened to name a few extremely athletic basketball players. Lebron James is built in a way that he can definitely play football. Nate Robinson too, as he's about the same size as Ray Rice. But if either of them actually decided to pursue football professionally, they would have to train their asses off to meet the standards of athleticism of the NBA. They would not be strong enough, fast enough, or have as much endurance from the get-go (football is by nature a much more physically demanding sport). On the other hand, if a top wide receiver or running back switched to basketball, I would argue that they would have to train less to improve their athleticism. They would already be some of the fastest and strongest NBA players in the league. They would, however, have to train a crapload in terms of skillset (dribbling, handling, shooting). But this is more a specific skillset needed for basketball rather than pure athleticism.

Outside of Korea, I actually thought NA looked really good =). I wonder how the CN squad individually felt about their performance, etc. Thanks if you folks got any info.
