PDD for top lane. alex-ich or misaya. insec madlife + pray
|
Top laner: Shy -> He practices 1v1 all the time against Flame, the best one versus one top-laner in my opinion. Then again, he does get smashed to the ground by Flame. So it might be better to pick PDD. Mid Laner: Ambition -> He will CS his way to victory. He is a god. Jungler: inSec -> I saw him in 1v1 mid-lane tournaments before, he is pretty good (albeit playing against mostly amateur players). He defeated his teammate Ryu in one versus one settings with both picking Lee Sin as their champion. Troll might be a smart pick, because he used to be a mid-laner from what I've heard. AD Carry and Support: Weixiao and XiaoXiao -> I noticed I voted for Koreans only, and I felt bad. My god XiaoXiao might win a Skill Match.

As long as he picks up Sona to secure the victory with amazing Crescendos.

Madlife and Pray just stronger combo than Wei TripleXiao; I'd argue pray is pretty close to WX, but Madlife just on another level compared to XiaoXiao.
Ambition is stable; can CS. but so can Alex Ich, but alex and misaya can also play balls to the walls, so they're more likely to get the first blood.

Too bad Imp didn't get in over Pray.
Imp/Madlife would not be touched in a 2v2 situation. I'd take them over any other duo if they had a few weeks of practice.

korean all star team should be
Flame Insec Faker Imp Madlife
skill wise this is the best team and even the North american all star team agree.
|
So did they play on this magma map? Like everyone battling it out like a midlaners on short lane between two towers without brush? If so thats so stupid, killing all the fun...
|
Why is this not being streamed?

since they pick a random person who got it right, your chances are better picking someone not necessarily as skilled, but less popular to be more likely to win when it comes down to the random part (example: PDD instead of Shy)

Flame Insec Ambition Imp Madlife
I think Ambition fits an all-star comp better, and he has more experience. If you have Faker with Flame, Insec and Imp, you basically have four people who are all #1 options. Ambition is good at holding his ground, not needing help in lane, and not needing to be the guy making all the plays.
It's like in the NBA. I would rather have an elite point guard like Chris Paul and a shooting guard like Kobe Bryant over two Kobe's. Ambition can set up plays and doesn't need to be the main focus to be a key component to a winning team. He's probably the third option on Blaze after Flame (#1) and CptJack (#2), but he still routinely wins his lane handily.

Yeah Ambition is good, I mean I wouldn't compare him to the likes of Chris Paul, but he's definitely a more then your average mid laner. He's consistent. Maybe not a star player though. Still, I think Rapidstar, easyhoon or even Ryu is an overall better player then him.
I am not sure if Insec is better then Helios or CloudTemplar either. But definitely different styles.

I'm not sure whether PraY has extensive champion pool outside of the ones we see in a conventional bottom lane, Weixiao has the advantage in this particular situation for me. Of course, in a traditional bottom lane setting, we might see the relative weakness of XiaoXiao being abused, but alas that is simply not the case.
I personally rate Ambition higher than any of the mid-laners in the All Stars Championship, especially in a setting where his personal capabilities can be expressed to the fullest due to a respectable supporting cast. Whereas I can concede that there are superior mid-laners in terms of roaming abilities, or overall map presence, I don't think Alex Ich or Misaya compares favourably to Ambition in terms of pure laning ability. That's just me though. We'll see who's right by the end of the week. It'd be funny if we were both wrong and Toyz won the whole thing, which is possible too since he's a stronger laner than Alex Ich too in my opinion.

Since we're talking about missing talents in this All Stars Championship, here's my personal top five talents missing in this tournament.
1) Flame: No discussion of the best top-laner in the world is complete without considering the player with perhaps the best individual performance in this season's The Champions. When asked about this issue in particular, Shy himself answered with that his "battle" for the right to represent Korea against Maknoon was flawed from the beginning since Flame is a cut above the both of them. Surely Flame would have given even PDD second doubts about his status as perhaps the strongest top laner in the world.
2) Uzi: Possibly the mightiest AD carry in the world is a mere spectator for the All Stars Championship. From what I've seen personally, his laning performances even outshadowed that of WeiXiao despite struggling with roster changes, and having a weaker overall supporting cast as a team. Quite possibly the best performing AD carry in the recent SWL S2 tournament, despite the likes of WeiXiao, Imp, Godjj, Bebe, Kid, and Devil all competiting for that title.
3) Zz1tai: Definately one of the top five mid-laners in the world despite often being left out on these kind of lists. His aggressive playstyle, mastery over a wide range of champions, and spot on mechanics make him one of the most exciting talents in the world.
4) LoveLin: A contender for the best performing support player in the world. One of the players responsible for the introduction of a new order in the Chinese scene, I've heard that he plays a mean Zyra in addition to showing good performances on the usual suspects in supporting role.
5) Imp: The guy who left everyone to dust with his fantastic mechanics, wants even more blood in his hands, even more so from WeiXiao. He boasted having a superior record against WeiXiao during their encounters in solo-que, a feat that will mean nothing to the master of AD carry himself, but one that means much to the cocky kid wanting to take his place as the most praised AD carry in the world. He, along with Dade, is responsible for MVP Ozone's success this season after their recent roster changes.
Honourable mentions: Cool, Faker, Fzzf, xPeke, Godjj, OhReal, Bjergsen
