You can see that I didn't even post in the actual voting thread and already I think I've got some good reactions. Irish, why such a big response, going so far as to posting a link to another website, even saying that you would dismiss me and "not waste time on trying to convince someone I'm not scum". I didn't even actually vote for you, I posted some bolded words that could have easily been knocked down since there was no analysis behind it, and no logic behind it; it had nothing behind it. Why so serious? Why such a big reaction? Same thing to chaos13.
At the same time, why so much silence on the issue from people who were clearly present? Kitaman? You pop in to say that people shouldn't edit but you don't mention a single thing about Irish, a single thing about me, and a single thing about anything. What up? I think this long of a post is more suspicious than anything irish punk dude said. I have to agree. First to analyze, last to be analyzed. I don't like the fact that he's okay with the idea of lynching town. Kurumi is making some great posts so far, and I think he's most likely town based off of his actions so far. The fact that you think it's okay to lynch him tells me that you're probably scum, so I'm putting my vote on you. I'm going to have to agree with this post, while I am not decided on a vote at all, this is a good line to follow. Also lots of finger pointing without any actual evidence. I almost say vote for the spammers so at least we can have some constructive comments.
Also, the reason why my one post was unsubstantial is because I am still waiting for something to stick out. Right now all the spam looks suspicious, or at least is really annoying. I like how you make a spam post about spam posts. You would like to vote for yourself then? Do these posts look scummy to you? They look like attempts to follow along with anothers accusations instead of adding own analysis. On the other hand it might just be low on analysis because he´s a new player.
Basically this. Although I'm getting a feel for it now.

Because we have 30 hours left. Much more fun to keep you squirming. I bet that's very entertaining. Your response to being called scum is almost identical to CubEdin's response in 35. Nonchalant. A prove it kind of attitude. Work on it. Right now you're scum dude. Except there's nothing to prove. It was a misunderstanding between the meaning of inactive and lurking. You can quit trolling me now. I'm not trolling you. And it has nothing to do with your definition of lurking/inactive. It's all about your assertion that we have nothing to fear from inactive/lurking scum. Scummy.
Your overarching amount of ego amuses me to no end.

That's a fair question. While I'm still attempting to finish my paper on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight I'll try to post a few of my thoughts real quick.

Jackel Seems to be a strong player with convictions. Overall doesn't seem scummy, but rather trying to stir up a debate. Yet to see him attempt to protect anyone. I'll be interested to see how he votes at the end of the day.
Cthsazsa
Really interested in his play so far. Very defensive without really giving any strong thoughts of his own. His strongest defense has been that Jackel is "Trolling". Possible scum.
chaoser
He has been sitting back after his initial strong posts. I think he knew he brought suspicion on himself with his original long posts. I know he is a long time player and he seems to be careful to not be in the front of any debate. If I had to vote for anyone I would vote for him atm.
I know I didn't link the posts I was looking at for evidence, I just don't really have time to do so at the moment.

Chaoser has been very pro-town in his posting across the board. Being super-vocal day 1 is a sure way to get killed night one. It's the players who haven't posted any real content that we have to worry about. I agree with varpulis here. And I would add I think it would be a pretty huge mistake to vote for chaoser on day1, unless we had some really damning evidence. He was one of the best players in the last TL mafia. It would be too big of a risk to potentially lose one of our best players unless we were very sure.
I'm not saying I am going to vote for him, just saying to me he has had the largest jumps in posting history and it show'd up on my nooby radar. This may be due to real life commitments, it's impossible to tell.

There was some link to it further back in the thread... good luck :-p

I had a final from 4 to 6 today that I already mentioned and aside from those 2 hours + time I spent previous to get to the test room and go over the material with friends, there has been no "jump". I have a 84 post "jump". There are players who have way larger "jumps". Get your facts straight buddy. That being said, I have no qualms with anyone bringing a good, well thought-out argument and discussion to me about my play an alignment. It's very important to not get complacent with trusting one guy and depending on one leader.
We are thinking of a different type of "jump", my bad.
When I was saying jump I was more thinking the length and thoroughness of said posts. Although this most recent post that I am quoting turns the trend around!
I also think it is important to not group behind one player just because he knows how to play with the most skill. Note that I am not saying you just listen to anything I'm saying...

How could standing out possibly be a good thing? Its only going to get you lynched or killed by the mafia.
Nice play on my name btw, but I would prefer KillerSOS
Also my whorish posting can be somewhat explained by my lack of interest in working on my paper, therefore I am obsessively F5'ing the thread. I'll be up all night finishing anyways...

I'll be up all night finishing anyways... Actually I agree with Jaminz's recently written post about you. The object of mafia FOR TOWN is not to stay alive till the end. It is to try to find mafia. And to do that you take stances on issues and you fight for them. We're not trying to say another 3 years in congress. However, it IS the job of the mafia to stay alive till the end. I've been standing out all game and I probably will be killed but I'll do some god before I go. FoS KillerSOS.
That is an interesting way of putting things. I'll allow you to think of all the possible roles in this game before blatantly explaining how you are wrong. The way you make it look like you are a positive to get killed and in the same statement giving me a FoS is too easy of a lead for any potential mafia to use.
Simply put if you were to die tonight, by this line of reasoning I must be mafia.
That seems a bit too forward than seems reasonable.

Jaminz posted after I did, my previous post sums up the gist of your questions though.
|
I'm saying that it seems insane to approach the game while ignoring the other side. To say that mafia is the only group that gains by allowing the game to progress seems to be foolhardy.
I'm still trying to figure out how my post looked at all like a "roll call" or however you call it. A rolecall with no results as of yet would seem to be rather useless.
Unless you are trying to scapegoat?

At the rate this thread is moving, inactive means "haven't posted in the past hour".

I had to start somewhere eh?
Wrote up some basic analysis posts afterwards. Like I said, first time on forum mafia, I'm used to playing in a big circle where blue and red are decided by who has the aces or queens...

Because the people who have provided analysis on his posts seem to be the most correct?
Cthsazsa posts alot like me... short and numerous.
For some reason I feel as though it might be the incorrect method of play, but it is enjoyable to say the least.
