Day 1: VayneAuthority, an ordinary citizen (Town Vanilla), has been lynched. Night 1: Vivax, as Foolishness (Miller), has been nightkilled.
This is a mini-normal with heavy flavour. Knowledge of German culture is not required. There is no post-restriction and deadline time is the standard 22:00 GMT (+00:00).
Mafia is an educated guessing game of epic proportions. The objective of the game is to lynch or kill all mafia members before they outnumber the rest of the town. It's much like a game of poker because mafia members are also part of the town during the day and may manipulate the vote to their liking. If the mafia at any time outnumber or equal the townspeople, they win. The town's goal is to lynch all the members of the mafia.
The game is typically very active, so the thread will get big quickly. However, it is essential to read the thread to play the game. If you do not have the time or patience to read the whole thread, do not play. I will not compensate for ignorance.
Rules:
Cheating: Cheating includes (but is not limited to): 1. Posting after death. You may have one polite goodbye post, but it may not contain any potentially game-changing information. 2. Ruining the game by doing something like hand out your mafia's member list to the town. 3. Logging on to someone else's account to get their role or looking over someone's shoulder to get their role. 4. Comparing role PM times to determine roles. 5. Posting screenshots of your inbox. 6. Posting or sharing any PM you receive from a host. 7. Getting yourself modkilled to help your team. Your non-majority-decided death may not be used as a bargaining chip. 8. Signing up more than once using smurf accounts. 9. Betting items outside of the game in exchange for in-game benefits. 10. Sharing accounts with other players unless cleared by the host in advance. Otherwise, only you may post on your account.
Cheating is not tolerated here. The punishment will be severe.
Posting:
Mod Font: This is mod font. It is reserved for moderators. Please do not use it.
Question Font: This is question font. You may use this font to ask the moderators anything BEFORE the game.
Absolutely do NOT ask any questions openly in thread in game as some questions may be alignment indicative.
Activity: You must post in this thread TWICE per day/night cycle and vote every day while you are alive. Failure to do so will result in a warning; a second offence will result in a modkill.
Smurfs/Hydras: I will allow smurfing. Please send me a PM with who you are playing as. Hydras will not be permitted.
Post Restriction Rules: There is no post-restriction for this game however, rules for spam are unchanged.
Spam is not tolerated, nor is any off-topic material. Do not discuss Proleague here. Do not talk about Starcraft II here. Play Mafia here. This also means you should condense your posts when possible. 15 one-liners in 30 minutes is unacceptable.
Encryption: Don't do it.
Editing: Editing is not allowed for any reason. Editing will result in a warning. If we discover you to have changed any content, you will be modkilled. This includes posts where you have embedded an image, changing the image is tantamount to changing the post. This is the one part of the site where it is okay to be double posting, even triple-posting. While I ask for everybody to post as concisely as possible, post again using the acronym (EBWOP: Edit by way of posting) if you want to clarify/correct something you just posted.
Inappropriate posts: If you want to post something insulting or inappropriate and know the TL mods would have a problem with it elsewhere, don't post it here. If you do, a host will warn you or modkill you and request that you be banned from future games. The hosts have the final say on what is inappropriate. If you do not like how someone is talking to you, please PM a host, Foolishness or Blazinghand before involving the TL staff. If you are unsatisfied with how the situation is resolved, then you can appeal to the TL staff normally.
Reporting posts: The report button is a nice feature for regular TL, but not for this forum. We prefer to deal with things in house if possible to avoid confusion among the TL staff. If you have a problem with how someone is posting, talk to the host, co-host, or Foolishness before using your report button. Please do not use your report button for anything other than inappropriate posts which you feel are not being dealt with adequately.
Ban discussions: Please wait until this game is over to talk about modkills and bans resulting from this game.
Play to win. This means you play your best to help your team win while you are alive and in the game. However, this does not mean that you should try to win by being a jerk to the other players so they all want to quit playing.
This also means that you cannot leave the game without a good reason without a ban. These situations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. PM me or the co-host if you need to leave the game.
You have been warned.
Voting rules:
This game uses plurality lynch. The player with most votes at deadline will be lynched. 1. Voting is done in the voting thread. The voting thread is linked in my important posts spoiler. Please keep votes there, and only vote there. Do not PM me your vote. 2. Please vote in the following format: ##vote Half the Sky. Votes not done in the correct fashion will not be counted. I or my co-host will update vote counts whenever we get the chance. 3. If you change your vote, please ##unvote before posting another vote (can be done in the same post). 4. No conditional voting. 5. You may vote for yourself. You may not vote for anyone dead or outside the game. 6. You may not vote for a no-lynch. 7. Voting is mandatory. You may NOT abstain. Failure to vote will result in a warning, second offence, a modkill.
Signups and Wisdom of the Crowds:
Signups are open until all 13 spots are filled.
There is no minimum experience required for this game.
The hosts also reserve the right to deny participation to those individuals that are known to disrupt the playing experience for others. If we also receive more than three (behaviour based) objections on a specific player, we will most likely not allow that individual to play. We want everyone to have a positive experience playing on TL regardless of their skill level.
Game-specific rules:
Modkills: This game follows the TL Mafia Ban List. If you are modkilled, your punishment will go beyond being eliminated from this game. Please refer to it for questions about your punishment. If you want to use this game to sit out your ban, please PM us and post in the Ban List.
Behaviour: 1 Simply put, do not be a dick. We will pre-warn, warn or modkill you if you approach or cross the line. I am specifically most against personal attacks. These games are meant to be fun for everyone; play the game, but don't ruin the experience. 2 Racist/homophobic/sexist commentary or similar will result in a direct modkill. There is no place for such here, and success as any alignment can be done without. 3 Absolutely, positively, no discussion about other concurrent games in this thread. This can affect other games and is unacceptable. You may discuss players' activities external of TL Mafia, but do not discuss any play in any other ongoing game. Violation of this rule will result in a warning; subsequent offences will result in a modkill.
Replacements: This game uses replacements. Replacements will be made until Night 2. If a player needs to depart after Night 2, he or she will be modkilled. No exceptions. If a player is modkilled before Night 2, they will be replaced by a player on the replacement list if possible. Type /replace if you want to be put on the replacement list.
Clues: There are no clues. The storyline in my game, based on German culture, is for entertainment purposes only.
Roles named after specific players for the purpose of flavour on TL mafia have zero bearing on how roles are RNGed as I always commit to pure RNG when drawing roles.
PMs and Out-of-Thread Communication: PMs are not allowed in this game, with the exception of the scumteam and any masons. No out-of-thread communication of any sort is allowed for other players. The scumteam and masons, if any, will be provided their respective QTs to communicate in.
Coaches: Because there is a newbie game in progress, there are no coaches allowed for this game.
Shadows: I will permit shadows this game. If you shadow a player, I will provide a separate QT for you and your shadow. If your player happens to RNG into the scumteam, you will not have access to scum QT.
Observers: Please PM the hosts for the Observer QT once the game has started, otherwise, type /obs in the signup thread.
Time Cycle: This game will follow a 24 hour night/48 hour day-cycle. The deadline is 22:00 GMT (+00:00). Please note the deadline is xx:59 and I will not accept votes/actions at xx:00. Do not post after the deadline. Any alignment relevant information posted after the deadline and before the flip will result in a modkill. The game will resume when the night post is up. There is no resolution period for night actions.
Credits: Thanks to pretty much every TL mafia player/host/mod/etc who has hosted and revised rulesets/guidance. Many thanks to Blazinghand, GreYMisT, Artanis and Kitaman who have all provided me with much insight and guidance regarding hosting over my time here at TL. Much <3 to all of you!
This setup will be a semi-open setup. Key attributes of roles in italics.
Win Condition: The town win when they eliminate the Bavarian beer snobs or when the scumteam concede.
The ordinary citizen (Town Vanilla): goes about his or her business, day in, day out, to work, school or wherever life takes them. And of course, every once in awhile, they find themselves in Munich, home of what the locals there consider the best beer in the world. Or wait...that is up for debate isn't it? You are town vanilla. Find the mafia, and win with your voice and vote.
ShaoPi (Detective): A native of Frankfurt, ShaoPi's been up and back into Munich more times than he could ever count. He's also a beer fanatic and has navigated his way through most of the popular non-touristy brewpubs in the city, which has acquainted him quite easily with those he's found are often up to no good. Especially when they try and tout inferior beer. You are the detective. Each night you submit a check on one player per night. It will return either town-aligned or mafia-aligned. You can be roleblocked. You win with town.
WaveofShadow (Tracker): On a holiday with family, you take in the sights and sounds of Munich. Only for one thing, you absolutely cannot stand German beer and are extremely sceptical of anyone who is over the top about it. You are a tracker. Each night you can submit the name of a player of whom to track, with the result(s) returned at the daypost. You can be roleblocked. You win with town.
NocturneMage (Medic): A London-based physician with a background in emergency medicine, NM is in town for a research conference on acute and critical care. Fully aware anything can go down away from conference, he's more than ready to give a helping hand if help is called for. You are the medic. You can select one player to protect each night. You can protect the same player consecutive nights; can be roleblocked. You protect from all kp. You win with the town.
Ange777 (Jailkeeper): Born and raised in Frankfurt, she visits Munich every once in awhile to see her friends. Her charm and skill have made her very popular with literally everyone, as she protects her friends and impedes her foes. You are the jailer. Each night you may select one player to roleblock and protect. The roleblock resolves prior to protection. If roleblocked, your roleblock will resolve but NOT your protection. You can take action on the same player consecutive nights. Your action protects from all kp. You win with town.
justanothertownie (Veteran): After many years of study, you are finally beginning your PhD in chemistry. And as pub trivia is popular in Germany as a whole, you know nearly every pub, every host in town. And hey, you do pretty well with the questions too. You are the veteran. You have a vest that protects you from 1kp. You can be roleblocked. If you are hit, you will not be notified. If kp is stacked upon you, you die. If you are hit again after recurrence of a hit, you also die. You win with town.
boxerfred (Vigilante): You've travelled from Cologne to ready up for the big Brasilian Jiu Jitsu tournament at Munich MMA. Of course, checking out the competition means it's likely you might run into some trouble en route to the title. But that's okay, you won't waste any time, knocking someone to the floor if they try and mess with you. You are the vigilante. You have a gun with a bullet in it. One night, and once per game, you pick a player to take out of the game. If roleblocked, your bullet is not refundable. You win with town.
Foolishness (Miller): You're in Fussen, hiking the Alps and you've picked up German well enough that you can interact with the locals. Even worse, you've become a beer snob. But when you speak English, it's clear you're not one of them. You are a miller. You are not aware. You will have received a town vanilla PM. You win with town.
LightningStrike (Wanderer): You are LightningStrike, a second-year university student on exchange at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. An American, you are also taking advantage of not just picking up German, but hitting up every beer hall imaginable. Since you mingle with anyone and everyone, you might brush into trouble without realising it. You are a wanderer. You are not aware. You will visit the player whom mafia will target each night. In the event of a no-shot, you will visit a player at random. You will have received a town vanilla PM. You win with town.
The (Bavarian) Beer Snobs....and then Some (Mafia)
Win Condition: The scum win when they reduce the town numbers to a level equivalent or less, or nothing can stop this from happening.
Supersoft (Mafia Framer): Passionate about weissbier, he works in Kelheim brewing about for Schneider Weisse, and has been instrumental in pushing the beer for export. Elsewhere, it's increasingly likely you consume one of his concoctions and he's doing it well enough to get you hooked. You are the framer. Each night you can pick one player to target for frame, inclusive of yourself, allowing that player to return a check for the opposite alignment. Can be roleblocked. Cannot frame the same player two nights in a row. You win with mafia.
Half the Sky (Mafia Godfather): In Munich for yet another work assignment, this whisky lover is getting acquainted with the beer scene thanks to her friend disformation. The problem comes in when she uses beer, wine and spirits for more sinister purposes. Unfortunately because she's clearly not Bavarian, she passes for one of the good guys. You are the Godfather. You return town-aligned checks. You are untrackable. Your passives are not roleblockable. You win with the mafia.
disformation (Mafia Roleblocker): Having just finished his MSc in Darmstadt, he's taken up a job in Munich as a programmer. He's also acquired a side gig at Crew Republic, charged with helping to launch the craft brewery well past the overhyped Munich big-name brewpubs. Unfortunately this has also made him the city's biggest beer snob and he'll talk your face off all night about craft brews until your ears hurt. Even worse? He'll get you hooked on dunkels. Fact. You are the mafia roleblocker. Each night you can select one player to roleblock. You resolve simultaneously with a town roleblocker. You win with mafia.
Toadesstern (Mafia Vanilla): Saarland-born law student Toadesstern has taken up an internship in Munich with arguably Germany's most hated organisation: GEMA. If you don't know what that is, let's just say they and YouTube have not come to an agreement on making MVs accessible for Germans. Basically an utter nuisance. You are vanilla scum. You can carry KP if you so choose. You win with mafia.
1 There are no notifications unless absolutely necessary. 2 There are no alignment changing mechanics. 3 There are no third party roles. 4 A mafia powerrole may carry KP and use their ability on someone else simultaneously. 5 Roleblockers resolve simultaneously. Any applicable secondary abilities will be stopped. 6 The veteran is roleblockable. 7 Vigilante bullets are not refundable if roleblocked or shot into protection. 8 The scumteam are permitted to hold their shot.
Mafia KP = 1kp KP must be delivered by individuals and subject to RB/tracking rules. Limited shot, and Multishot Dynamics: All blue roles except for the veteran and vigilante are available in the following configurations: 1-shot, 2-shot, and multishot. A single shot means you can only use your power once. 2-shot means it can only be used twice. Multishot means it can be used as many times as you want. If you are 1- or 2-shot, and you are roleblocked, your shot is refunded (except for the roleblocker, which will resolve simultaneously; vig shots will never be refunded). Role PMs will be prefixed with 1-shot or 2-shot if you are 1-shot or 2-shot, and will have no prefix if you are multishot.

Alex, I have a question. How do you know what skunk piss tastes like?
Also roster updated. This should be a very straightforward game regarding specs, but any questions regarding that, fire away.
Also I am more than aware that North Americans have some major holidays coming up in the next week - I will definitely be watching the calendar and starting the game on a day that won't mess with people's holidays with EoD, etc.

Huh? What holidays?
....
Your Dots make me feel like I should know something Yet don't.
Seriously, What Holidays?
I know you are still in university, do you not have off for the 4th of July (and in the case of Canada, Canada Day which I think is the 1st) if you are in the summer term? Even in the summer term in US schools, (I thought????) people still get off for the 4th.
Unless you are working or something...but generically speaking it's a national holiday.
On June 27 2016 09:49 sicklucker wrote: oh ya i forgot about that. breske might be dead... did anyone like the host ever talk to him?
I really hope this isn't the case but I did go back to his final post on TL mafia - and TL altogether. It was a question aimed at someone in Shinmegami mafia and that was it, he was blue, afked for 72 hours and he was mislynched/endgamed. And he hasn't posted on TL since.
I know he was a dota player at one point so he definitely has a Steam account. Anyone had him on Steam - unfortunately I didn't, and I don't recall him being in the TL mafia Steam group either.
(edit: literally this, and nothing else since in any part of TL)

I still remember my first mafia game here. NSM4, October 2014 and it was Breshke and myself as townies in 2:1 lylo. After batsnacks hammered himself too...
On June 28 2016 11:39 NocturneMage wrote: Mods: what happens if a tracker tracks either roleblocker if the roleblockers roleblock each other?
I'm pretty sure that's also grammatically correct English xD
Roleblocks in my game resolve first and simultaneously so the tracker will receive the result such that the roleblocker visited the other roleblocker and that result alone.
If a mafia roleblocker tried to also deliver kp, but was roleblocked (the kp was stopped), the tracker will not receive the result of him visiting the person he was trying to kill (unless of course, that person was also the town jailkeeper).
In some games, a host may elect to give kp preference to the mafia roleblocker over the town roleblocker/JK. In that case, a tracker tracking a roleblocked JK returns the result "this player visited no one."

Alex, I have a question. How do you know what skunk piss tastes like?
You should probably take him to a doctor anyways if that is his opinion. There is something seriously wrong with his health/sense of taste. Unless he let someone fool him with something that's not really german beer. Like an idiot.
it might help if I discussed exactly which beers I've had and why I have had a bad impression
erdinger (had their dunkel and wheat beer, couldn't stand either) augustiner anything schneider weisse was okayish hofbrauhaus beer is okay too on tap....but honestly I've had just way better belgian beers holsten anything - kill me please jever pilsner - just not my cup of tea really yes unfortunately I have had astra. worst beer ever, it seems similar to the shit tier american beers cannot stand kolsch beer in general
if either you or scumformation have any recommendations though I will consider them. but so far my experience with german beer has been.....meeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I looked up this list. Erdinger to me is okay, and I liked Schneider Weisse beers....but looking some of these names up, some of them are northern German beers. I think disformation can back me up on this - but generally speaking you want to steer clear of north Germany beers - the stuff from the southern region (Baden Wurttemberg/Bavaria) is leaps and bounds better.
(Edit: I know you like weissbiers, I had a nice refreshing one - Hacker Pschorr Hefe Weisse. Try that one at least next time.)
On June 29 2016 17:07 disformation wrote: Astra - not drinkable holsten - barely drinkable jever - mh, has been ages, vaguely remember it as being average/mehish? augustiner - okay/decent, not a fan though
Still need to "catch" up on a lot of the bavarian beers tbh. I did like what I had of Hacker-Pschorr so far.
Back home I was mostly drinking local pilsner like Schmucker/Pfungstädter. Think my fav. beer brand is schlappeseppel (also made close to where I used to live) though.
edit: Not sure if I want to join this, DL is just a tad late for me. Though I guess I could manage, since I have flexible work times...
IIRC, your rule was avoid anything (and everything????) from Hamburg? Seriously though, I do want to hear some honest recs on beer from north Germany. There's got to be a few decent ones.
I cannot drink a lot of beer at all for reasons, so as a result I am extremely discerning with what I do drink admittedly. (I am much more the whisky type as well.)
The types of the German beer I like: Any dark beer. The closer to American/British stout the better: Bock/doppelbock/dunkels (thank you disformation <3) and schwarzbier. I really need to try more Schwarzbier. I've had these - Erdinger (okay), Hacker Pschorr, but I think I liked Weihenstephaner's dunkel and Schneiderweisse's doppelbock the most so far.
I used to not really care for white or wheat beers at all. Belgian ones were okayish, American ones (even craft was meh) not so good, then I had Hacker Pschorr and Franziskaner weissbier for the first time in Munich and lo and behold I think I've found my white beers xD
Now for me the real question is Marzen, or Oktoberfest beer. I do not like hoppy beer especially overly hoppy beer. I cannot stand Pilsner or IPAs. The question is how hoppy these beers are....from reading about them, they seem like beers that would appeal to me, but disformation you said (edited) you didn't think I'd like them...
Autumn in general brings around good beer.
And no worries, I won't forget signups if we carry on discussing beer. And we can continue in the obs qt for sure. xD
On June 29 2016 17:15 VisceraEyes wrote: The only German beer I've ever had was Leinenkugels, which is a non-German American German Beer. Delicious, if you like that sort of thing. But likely not German beer at all.
Which type did you have? Based in Wisconsin, from looking up BeerAdvocate, their top rated German style beers are a schwarzbier (stout), marzen (Oktoberfest), witbier, a Helles (pale lager), and their canoe paddler beer (or their kolsch). Their American lagers and fruit beers seem to average higher ratings though, so IDK.
If we fill up before 1 July, and if I've counted my days right, I can start the Friday evening if people - the majority of this roster - are desperate to start.
However we are running into the weekend and a holiday weekend (and knowing what I know about 4th of July celebrations), which affect quite a bit of this roster. That said, I think the best solution here is to actually wait until the evening of the 4th to kick off Day 1, roster hopefully will be full by then and we'll have the holiday weekend behind us to minimally impact the game.
Ah Shapelog, it won't happen. I see past the written alright, but it's because we game/speak a bit outside mafia, he cannot play.
He wasn't sure at first. But he can't now. But it's okay.
Like he did in Haunted Mansion....he'll be sitting on the sideline, rooting for the mafia (as well he should in this case) as he'll take down a Paulaner or something every time the mafia manage a mislynch xD
On July 01 2016 23:25 ShoCkeyy wrote: Actually, can you switch me to /obs? I'll be out of town some time in the next few weeks, and if I do jump in, I won't have time to even check on thread T_T
No worries, and done.
4 spots left. I will start the game after the 4th of July holiday, whenever we obviously fill up, everyone, enjoy the weekend.
We have our 13 spots filled. PMs are going out as signups took one week to fill. Please respond in this thread with /confirm to confirm your spot in this game.
The game will start in at 22:00 GMT (+00:00), which will clear most of the US holiday weekend.
Those newbies (not listed) who want to shadow, you have until then to make arrangements with players on the roster.
Observers please PM either LightningStrike or myself.
Any further questions on setup, you have until silence period - approx 45 prior to start - to ask, after which you need to direct either in QT or PM.
If any of the newer obs folks want to shadow - basically learn from someone how they play, as they play, you can do that as well. I am permitting that this game. If you are a shadow, you will not receive obs but only a private QT with your player so they can talk you through how they are playing and why.
Shadowing - to prevent WIFOM - results in you picking your player first before their role is known. Your player will not know if he is town or scum.
We are in the process of contacting replacements. If we are unable to get anyone or confirm either replacement by close to the start time, or if someone not on replacements doesn't claim the final spot in thread (you can also PM us) we wait until tomorrow.
The silence period begins now as we assign roles. Any questions from this point onward needs to be directed to either LightningStrike or myself.
Those of you wanting Obs, please PM either one of us.
In keeping with TL rules albeit a twist - post nothing EXCEPT for your favourite beer (regardless of country) as we wait to get started. (Of course you can always post popcorn per TL tradition.)
I sat dejectedly at Der Pschorr near Munich's Viktualienmarkt sipping ein Hefe Weisse after a terrible flight inbound. I'd been told time and again, the Belgian beer lover I was, that I'd get hooked on German beer during my time in Munich. I told my friends and colleagues I'd keep an open mind, as I did with all cuisine, but apparently there's this spark to German beer that makes it a cut above the rest. I'd been warned against the too-touristy Hofbrauhaus and Augustiner as these places were always crowded all the time. I had Erdinger before arriving in Munich and whilst it was okay, I had heard there was better out there.
Generally speaking I cannot stand wheat beers/lagers/light beers...then I had one in Germany. Well that changed things. Still, my favourites always had been darker beers, stouts and ales in the UK and US, although similar beers here in Germany were called dunkels or schwarzbier.
I checked the weather to see whether the open air concert in Schwabing West would be viable.
"Scheiss Regen heute," I muttered.
Clearly the answer was no.
And yes, that was another thing I was coming to hate about Munich. It was raining often, often as in all the time. It had rained here all last week and this week? You guessed it. Rain, all week.
"Scheisse," I muttered.
I figured by the time I booked it from Der Pschorr I could get back to the hotel before things really came pouring down. I flipped through to see the features at the cinema. Lo and behold: Warcraft. Deutsch, with English subtitles.
"Sicher ist sicher," I sighed. I really didn't want to get sick prior to hitting the Alps.
The Alps. I'd never been there, and I wanted to do some hiking near the base in the southern part of Bavaria despite the erratic weather. It would probably be my only chance for awhile.
"Der Weg zur Hölle ist mit guten Vorsätzen gepflastert."

I strolled through the Englischer Garten in Munchen the morning after a horrible storm the night before, and very quickly noted how murky and quite, frankly, disgusting, the riverbeds and the water looked. Never have I seen it so disgusting.
I had heard about the artificial surfing area, where surfers would practice their moves against the bridge undercurrents ahead of it. And sure enough, I came upon dozens of surfers showing off their moves in the river.
Surfing....in a river....in muddy Munich. Yet another thing that didn't make sense to me.
The first ten surfers I caught hold of held out, dancing in the waves before pulling themselves back and diving backwards away from the waves, signalling the next surfer to hop on into the waves.
The eleventh surfer, however, was another story. He lasted at most, five seconds, before losing his footing and wiping out.
"SCCCHEEEIIISEEEE." I heard the surfer scream as the queue of surfers had a laugh around him.
"Das ist schlecht," I muttered, facepalming.
"VOLLIDIOT!!!!!!" screamed one of the other surfers on the ledge.
VayneAuthority, an ordinary citizen (Town Vanilla), was wiped out!
It is now Night 1. Please submit your night actions to both of LightningStrike and myself There is no resolution period. Night 1 ends in at 22:00 GMT (+00:00).
Syllogism looked at his phone as he finished eating his sandwich in Potsdam. His plan for the day was to take a stroll throughout the parks and the northern end. Luckily for him, the weather was fantastic, at a mere 20 centigrade and a good breeze, it was a good day to spend all day outside.
Syllogism walked around to the far west side, took several pictures and strolled through the gardens until he reached the centre of the large Sanssousi Park.
Seeing a large green building glistening with golden statues high above the immediate canopy of trees, he took the path towards this building.
He crept closer to it to get a better look at the golden statues. Then all of a sudden he felt something gooey on his shoe.
Looking down, Syllogism shrieked in horror.
Blood.
Pretty soon, he saw a trail of scattered blood lead behind a building, and unsurprisingly, leading to a body.
He rushed up to the fallen but got even a bigger shock when he realised who it was; what followed was the loudest scream imaginable.
It was Foolishness, lying dead at his feet.
Vivax, as Foolishness (Miller) was found dead in the park.
Day 2 has begun! You have 48 hours to decide upon whom to lynch.

Alright, I am back after a weekend getaway with friends, and unfortunately said location was where internet was very dodgy except for the cafes in the area, which I was not able to issue, rule or end things at the exact moment when they happened. Luckily I had access to wireless when I received texts or Steam mobile messages from 2-3 players in the TL community (one of which whom was Shapelog whom I subsequently gave permission to post here, as LS also did follow up when he was available).
But now I'm home, will formally close this out and wrap it up.
First things first, as if it wasn't obvious already, VE's actions (post 953) result in a modkill and resultant post-game action and the game defaulted with no result (edited on the 11th, after getting in touch with Foolishness). This plus other disciplinary discussions I will handle in the ban thread.
I want to give special acknowledgement to LS who helped me cohost and disformation, who helped with flavour. Shapelog, thanks for stepping in at the moment you did.
I will update final roles in the OP either tonight or tomorrow for Kita's recordkeeping.
I am going to make a few gameplay comments in here.
DCWasabi, I'm sorry your first experience here ended this way. If you check Obs, a few people left legit tips for you.
I am aware you could not be here for deadline as 1500 your time is but impossible. Fine, but depending on how much time you had in between cycles, make sure you try and have meaningful interactions with as many players as you can manage - where town might be on the wrong track, you are giving mafia a free pass. Overall for your first game though, you did well, and I hope your future experiences will be better.
Also I feel for the mafia team, who had some viable ideas going prior to what VE did.
sicklucker - a comment for you, this is purely from a gameplay standpoint. When people were pushing you for lack of activity, I don't think you were clear as to why. You told Skynx d1 - a player who I don't think has ever played with you in a game - about your meta and that you don't play d1. Someone like him isn't going to trust you, and to be honest (and this goes for a lot of people) I am seeing too many people rely on meta to survive, which can work with experienced players but not with players you aren't familiar with and there were enough of the newer crop to TL I would have exercised some caution where you demonstrate your self town JUST enough to earn a pass with newer players. You wanted to bring up VE/Kush/Palmar for not doing anything....you have to differentiate yourself between you and them.
Race Bannon - biggest flaw in your filter was complete lack of direction which a lot of people had you off by d2. Even as mafia, even with perfect information, you have to find scummy townies to push and frankly there were a few of them. Mafia does take practice though so something to keep in mind for the future.
