[LP] TSL TSL TSL!!!
January 7th, 2011 17:39 GMT
Liquipedia Weekly #12 TSL TSL TSL!!! This is probably what's on your mind right now and, at Liquipedia, we're no different really. As the chroniclers of StarCraft history, the announcement of the third TeamLiquid StarLeague brought us the opportunity to record history as it was being made. As Liquipedia is part of TeamLiquid, we will do our share. Today we introduce you to the first inklings of what will be the best fucking article on Liquipedia ever. We plan on recording a TON of stuff concerning the event. Looking at the tabs there a no less than eight (so far!). Let's dive into the first two. The Overview pretty much offers a compilation of all the stuff we already know: a bit of history, the qualification process and the tournament's structure. The Seeds tab offers an overview of the three players already qualified through TSL2. You'll notice Mondragon doesn't have much of a LP page yet - maybe some fanboys can step up and help us fill the gaps? The Qualification process will soon commence. In this the TeamLiquid SC2 Opens will play a huge role. Not only will the winners advance directly into TSL, there's also a Points system we'll be keeping track of. The TeamLiquid Opens all have their individual articles on Liquipedia. We keep track of date and time, final 16, and of course eventual winners etc. Clicking the link above will show you the overview where it is explained what TL Opens are. Scrolling down a bit you'll find the links to the individual Opens' pages. For the TSL, the next eight TL Opens are going to be extremely important. The first TL:Open that's around the corner is TL:Open . The page is already set up, but during and after the event we need it to be tip-top okay. This is how you can contribute! For the next eight weeks we'll be looking to make the best we can out of these articles. Brackets and results speak for themselves, but feel free to add any additional stuff like battle reports and (winner) interviews. Lastly, shoutouts to Sqalevon and flicky for keeping these articles up-to-date so far! When the actual tournament kicks off, we plan on making the page concerning The Matches absolutely gigantic. Think battle reports, links to strategies used, VODs, post-match interviews. You name it. Another part that we hope will be huge is the Statistics page. With this huge ambitious project we'll need a lot of contributors though. Do you want to write battle reports of your favourite player, keep track of what Colossus racks up the most kills or figure out what map is the imbalancedest? Join us in our endeavours, cause remember: The most fun though will be the Gallery. This is where all peripherals go. The hype and intro videos, the artwork, the music, the fan-made cheerfuls, the memes. EVERYTHING. I've said it before but I'll say it once more. This will be the best fucking article ever. So if you want to contribute in even the smallest way, please please do. Want to make a section about the casters? Maybe the maps? Or maybe list the funnest quotes somewhere. Visit us on Quakenet (#liquipedia or click me) and we'll find you a spot! In other news, congratulations to salle and Kokkan! As they have been valuable assets to our ever growing pool of contributors, we recently promoted these two guys. Welcome to the crew! Where can I buy a Liquipedia hat like the one Uncle Sam has in the pic...?
|
Went through some of the links you provided and fixed some typos here and there... Otherwise, looks good so far.

So sweet, loving the entire coverage of TSL 3!
|
I'm so pumped up. GSL never really reached the hype I hoped it would mainly because there are so few non-koreans so you rarely have someone to root for (other than nada, july, boxer). Maybe TSL will make for a more united international e-sports scene.

Can someone write a page about Mondragon ? Hahaha.

I'm fucking pumped about TSL3. I really appreciate that, as usual, volunteer badassees are pumping out content. TL can always carry its cool shit a million miles on the shoulders of this amazing community. Thanks to you guys who are putting in the effort to already set this tournament up for success.
EDIT: Removed hard to not post mad BW fanboyism for the far less exacerbating statement that follows.
If you SC2 kids like ESPORTS, check out what's going on now in the ESPORT where people know what's up. Shit is absolutely amazing. You will probably dig Winners League and there is nobody who can escape the glamor and badassery of the OSL and MSL as they get to the higher levels.. Examine that shit thoroughly. If you don't know what's up or you feel like a noobie or you don't understand shit in LR threads, please PM me. I'll hit you back swiftly and kindly.
EDIT 2: TSL3 is probably going to be close to as dope as the other TSLs. TL knows how to do it. I dig the early hype and I look forward to the tournament. I don't mean to be subverting when I drop my thoughts on this thread.

You guys are so sick. Thank you!

More posts by Pholon please!

Kinda sad to see Mondragon doesn't have a worthy LP page yet - Didn't he book the #1 foreigner BW spot for over a year on GG.net and was at any time considered Top3 (excluding "Korea-Foreigners")? Maybe too much fanboism here from my part, I don't know.
Anyway AWESOME coverage for an AWESOME tournament. You are doing a great job! Thank you so much for this!

So so good. TSLLLLLLLLL!!!!!

I'll be helping out or at least trying my best with the TSL3 Wiki and related information. Started with Kas and luckily enough he had a TLPD with match histories and achievements so that's already on the page.
Still trying to learn how to use the Wiki format language, still confuses the heck out of me :'d.
