Yeah because they clearly practiced SC2 for 2 plus years, oh wait...

Flash, like the sc2 content in general, was somewhat unconvincing, but this is the season from hell for these players.. mistakes and apparent poor play ought to just be forgiven on the spot. (Having to train 2 games at once?? Pure madness) One thing that was striking in these games was how very precisely everything was managed. It wasn't the most brainy SC2, or the most strategically complex SC2 ever played, but damn, they were trying hard to play their best.

:DDDD So happy, can't wait to see the SC1 pros in a year or so in SC2. Flash v Effort, and look at their macro. They never miss a beat, cept I think at the end Flash does and he needs to add more raxes, but for 98% of the game both of them, phenomenal play. Can't wait to see these guys with time :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edit: Ya, I think you're right, more tanks but also I think he could of supported a few more raxes. He started making thors to deal with the mutas at the end and that was a mistake Needed dem tanks

Tanks are the key to zerg wave play. He could probably afforded to have put down 4-6 bunkers at the front as well. Still though, that match was actually really nice, which isn't something that could be said about most of the other matches. Also, how much I'd even want to join the protoss imba train, this is at least no show of that, it simply shows that terrans needs to know how to do TvP endgame to have a chance, meanwhile PvT endgame is really straightforward and thus maybe more easy to learn.

He tried to out macro Effort and that simply isn't feasible in TvZ unless you got for the Factory All-in before Broodlords. He went for a marine opening and didn't know how to exploit it and lost.

During the Proleague broadcast today I enjoyed reading through the BW LR threads and seeing BW fans' reactions to their idols playing SC2 for the first time. It was great to see the occasional surprised epiphany and in general positive reactions to some of the units and strats being used in SC2. It was also great to see how genuine questions from BW fans about certain aspects of SC2 (i.e. what an "archon toilet" is) were properly explained whenever they popped up. It goes without saying that BW players currently have a hard time to practice for two games at the same time and that there has not been much time yet to prepare for SC2. This is the reason why some of the SC2 play we saw today was not as refined yet as it could be and reminded some SC2 fans of play seen many months ago in SC2 leagues. That was to be expected and is actually quite interesting to see. And given more time, I'm sure the quality of games will rise considerably. Patience is advised. What makes this new-format Proleague even more interesting -- and that is something I myself haven't really paid much attention to before reading this great post -- is indeed the unique challenges the coaching staff is facing, especially regarding the rule that players must alternate in playing BW and SC2. I look forward to seeing how BW players will develop in playing SC2 and how this season will play out. It definitely will give some previously underappreciated players a new chance to shine. Thanks again for this great article!

Great article btw! Did you have some of the SC2 article makers help or did the article writers already know what they wrote themselves?

They obviously are looking to current pro's for inspiration, I did notice that they rarely skip a beat when it comes to macro, it seems only their decision making needs work. But of course that takes time ! I can't wait for Bisu come out, and more play from Best !
