Now we can almost say for sure it would have been better if he had stayed, but what if he won MLG? I'm still not sure which is bigger these days... OSL: Almost same grand prize as GSL Huge reach in South Korea through local television Happens fewer times in a year (less chances to win grand prize) Chance to get extra money from Korean brands/sponsors GSL: Almost same grand prize as OSL Online reach only, no idea if this has larger than OSL viewership at this point Happens more times in a year (more chances to win grand prize) Chance to get extra money from Global brands/sponsors

Korea --> MLG --> Korea? Meant traveling in general though. It'll put a wrench in one's "cycle" if they aren't used to hopping from tourney to tourney. From above: Rain did get sixth at MLG Dallas and third at the world championships, but with all the first time traveling, Rain came back not looking like himself. He played sloppy, didn't defend well, and got pulled apart by a player who has never even been in Code S before.

So in the first few games he played in SC2, he made like 20+ sentries and tried to forcefield armies to death. Did not work. I think he said that if he had force fields in Brood War he'd never lose.
