That being said, if VP is invited, there is no way they won't get invited.

2 EU 2 NA 2 CIS 3 China 2 SEA It seems balanced to me. My guess is we'll have a 4th chinese team and a kind-of-no-region team which is LGD.int

I think VP should be there, they are clearly the best Russian team, won the defense #3 and have done very well in most competitions in the past 2 months. Instead of MUFC this could also be another asian team, but I feel like they are most deserving. The last spott is really up for graps, this could just as well be EG or Mouz, or even another chinese team like VG... My top 5 in "confidence". Certainly the correct choices, don't think anyone will argue much about them. However the next 2 invites will certainly be the most controversial. Personally I stick with my prediction of MUFC and LGD.int. But I guess some teams can at least hope to slip into the last 2 slots, teams like EG, Mouz, VG and maybe RS come to mind...

After that its MUFC/EG or MAYBE Mouz. But its not mouz. And I don't really think its EG either, although the rumours of a roster change could be something.

LGD.Int+1, the question is if it will be EG, Mouz or an Asian team.

I think most people are assuming LGD.Int is the other invite. I can't really think of anyone else who deserves it more.

MUFC's roster is fairly new and due to being in Asia is a lot lesser known. In terms of pure marketing power, EG has by far the upper hand. I would really love to see MUFC though. So following these rules, next 2 invitations probably will be LGD.int + another Chinese/SEA team? I doubt those are the rules, they are probably looking for adequate representation of each region at the minimum, and picking out the best teams out of there.

other than those 2, may be mouz and 1 more chinese team. while I really hope QPAD gets an invite also, the chance is very very slim because they are relatively new and achievement-wise, they did win some small tournaments but just doesn't have impressive enough results in tournament with big names :-<

I dont think Dignitas or VP has shown alott more last 6-7 months... And why is CIS being filtered as a "own" zone?, CIS is Europe... Im predicting EG and LGD.int for last 2 invites, and I really hope for VG to make it through the quals, seeing some great games from them after the rotation. In August, they will most likely be a seriouse contender even for the championship!

To compare the results of EG (post dh, which is about 6 months ago) to the results of VP and Dignitas? short of TPL, dignitas made the finals of the D2L, won the RDL, finals of Dreamhack Invite, third in the Defense, and did well in G-1 qualifiers. VP has also made starladder finals, won the defense, 2nd in RDL 2nd in the premier league S3, and 3rd in TPL S4. Eg has done? nothing except beaten dignitas in G1 league. The last slots are going to LGD.int and MUFC/Mouz. EG doesn't deserve an invite with their results since Dreamhack. Even Mouz is a stretch to me. MUFC deserves it the most after LGD.int imo

Cis community is huge so invite for Roxkis or even Empire is not impossible.

None of the other teams left have been winning tournaments. LGD.int came second in G-League, but that really isn't all that impressive when you look at who they beat to do it. The only 'big 3' Chinese team they managed to beat was LGD.cn, and they train with them(and so have extensive experience with their play style). They have yet to beat IG or DK once in an official match and they couldn't make it to the G1 league playoffs. To add to that, right now there are 6 western and 5 eastern teams invited. Given that eastern teams have typically been stronger, inviting two more western teams(so it would be 8 western and 5 eastern) feels a bit unfair. I count LGD.int as a western team and we already have decent representation from NA, CIS and Europe. After MUFC I guess LGD.int and EG are possibilities. If I were Valve I'd go with EG because last year the crowd really got behind all the NA teams and that's the kind of energy and excitement they probably want. I also think VG are looking better and better, plus they have the ZSMJ star factor. But I guess they will most likely be in the qualifier. Luckily I think they are strong enough to get through the eastern qualifier.

It's between LGD.int, EG and MUFC. We didn't see much of EG this year but they have a lot of fans in North America. Maybe they will get invited because of that. In my opinion, EG and LGD.int will get invited. I can't wait for qualifiers.

It should very well be MuFC and LGD.int. They really are the two most deserving to get invited. So that throws EG, Empire, Kaipi and dd.dota to Qualifers.

Previous Champions (2) : IG, Na'Vi (probably the "2012 Champions" and "2011 Champions" label serve this purpose) West (5): Alliance, Fnatic.eu, Virtus Pro, Team Liquid, Dignitas East (4) : LGD.cn, Orange, Zenith, DK Remaining invites : 2 For the sake of balance, logically they need to invite an Eastern team + 1 cross regional team (like aL last year). Therefore East : MUFC/VG Cross Regional : LGD.int In the end, we will have: 2 previous Champions 5 invited Western teams 5 invited Eastern teams 1 qualified Western team 1 qualified Eastern team 1 invited cross-regional team 1 wild card team Seems like this is the most fair, and therefore EG is unlikely to get an invite

Comparably MUFC are a new team with a bit of a rotating door lineup although it has stabilized recently. While they do have many results against strong teams, if valve are classifying LGD.int as an eastern team, theyll be out of luck. That being said there is simply no way LGD.int arent invited. They've had a stable lineup since formation, had tremendous results against all of the invited asian teams theyve played, and for all of those who claim EG deserves an invite because of the organization (???) LGD is a roughly equivalent organization in the dota scene! LGD.int +1 for last ^^
