I for one would like to see better announcers, young guys, who know the game. I also want an observer who doesnt miss battles. I spent all night tonight hearing sound effects that were off the screen.
Do you think the SuperFights should continue?

But, whenever I come across a football match broadcated in Spanish, (I am sure you all had that experience) I am hyped to the max. I can't understand anything they are saying, but one single word. "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL~~~~~~~~~~ GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL~~~~~~~~~~ GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL~~~~~~~~~~ GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL~~~~~~~~~~" You get the point. I believe this is true for most of us who is not a Korean native when watching Starleague. It's the atmosphere, the heat, the excitement that makes a professional starcraft match much more exhilarating. In this Superfight #5 the same awesome players played meticulously perfected matches, in a totally new exciting map, and yet overall, the program was slightly better than dull. The dissapointment extends even further for Koreans who had to bear the commentators who lacked energy, repeated lethargic analyzation of the match, and failed to invigorate any kind of enthusiasm whatsoever. I have to admit though, that I am not being fair. All the great Starleague commentators in Ongamenet, and Lee Seunghwan of MBCgame were all amateurish in their old days. They also lacked fervor and professionalism. But, they evolved as Starleagues did. But, now the commentators of Superfight can expect neither the luxury nor mercy from the fans for some 'period of time' to get better. They either have to be near-perfect now, or never. It's not fair, I know, but that's not the point. Myself included, sometimes we feel the regular Starleagues are getting boring from time to time because one of our favorite (aka boxer, nada, savior, july, you name it) player did not make it to the finals. But, in reality that's what makes the Starleagues so interesting; The whole history behind it, the one rising above out of blue sky, the one who walks the Royal Road, or who attains the Golden Mouse, or so on and on. Without those eonic fairytale-like story, the leagues will not be as intriguing. And, those commentators of Ongamenet do a heck of a job to keep viewers like me come back to Starleague everyweek. It is to the degree that I sometimes feel honestly aggravating in frustration that much of the non native TL.net members won't be able to enjoy their delicious commentary, but only will be able to taste a glimpse of it from their frivolous screaming like, AH~~~~~~ YEA~~~~~~ HATCHERY~~~~~~~~, NEXUS~~~~~~~~~~~ and so on. So, whether or not Superfight continues to exist, I believe its excitement will dwindle away in time, if it hasn't at all by now. The commentary is worst one can imagine and is a big problem, but that is not even half of what makes Superfight fruitless. Superfight lacks trait and history. I can't care less who wins or loses in Superfight. So what? savior wins a Superfight match. It's like a minor event. Savior wins a Starleague!!?! Now there's something that I pay attention to. This might become a spoiler, but come this new season of Starleague, Ongamenet is preparing for something totally new. My educated guess is a new protocol for the observer and broadcasting; like multi-observing with showing battles in one part of the screen while showing tech in the other side, and similarly, showing multiple battles in the same screen with divided sectors to please the eyes of the viewer. Just you watch. Ongamenet has unofficially promised something totally innovative this new season of Starleague. I sometimes get high just imagining what they'd be.

I'm sure they will learn from the experience. Yes, the commentaries were extremely dull, and I guess it must have been even tougher for the Korean-speaking viewers, but still... Don't go too harsh on them and ask whether the SuperFights should even be held from now on... I think they deserve their chance to evolve and get better. Anyways, more leagues and tourneys is always better for progaming, IMHO. -Mynock

I agree they can be improved, but I doubt how much they can accomplish. OGN/MBCgame's commentators are on TV almost every day on-season, so they have a lot of time to practice commentating. Think that TheMarine have learned fast about commentating because he could be on TV every day. but Superfight is held every month, they don't have enough chance to practice skill If CJ media really want to bring them up as good commentators, CJ should make some leagues(amateur, women, university or whatever) and let them commentate often and often. But, I like Superfight, They've been showing us special matches(with money) that we can't often watch.

I also want an observer who doesnt miss battles. I spent all night tonight hearing sound effects that were off the screen. Twice I tried to move the screen.. once by clicking on the minimap and once by moving my mouse to the edge of the screen. It didn't work.

2 Starports, both having an addon being built and they went on and on and on talking about "cloaking wraith", while it was so so god damn obvious that they had to have missed the armory, since no one builds 2 addons for wraiths..., so yeah I was sitting there thinking "would you morons please realise he is going valks?"...

Like Savior vs Nal_ra Midas vs Savior Boxer vs Yellow are always classics Im sure a lot of people wonder who would win between Jaedong and NaDa lets say, or two other players who havent faced each other on starleagues. I think SuperFights are nice on their own way. Anything that helps Starcraft grow is welcome. But the event does lack some depth. Its overly simplistic, and happens very fast. I was expecting to see a lot of more games (each player facing 6 opponent), elimination process... etc. Id a zerg had won over a protoss we d have ahd a tie break of 3-3 between all races and thats a weak sample, imo But well, the bottom line is that it is entertaining, and we get to see the very best players fighting ^^ Gogogo starcraft!

but yeah it was pretty frustrating at times, like hearing the tank drop sounds in nal_ra vs midas while the observers were looking at nothingness. or i think one of nada's tanks had like 10+ kills in nada vs bisu, but it was hard to read, so i might've been mistaken. if it was OGN/MBC though, i would've known by whether the commentators flipped out or not the rotating booths to reveal who they chose was a good idea, but could've been refined for more excitement. the commentators announced it in a pretty bland way usually before i could tell who it was from the video. zooming in on the player, with like fireworks and a highlight/intro video playing in the background would've kicked ass. despite those complaints, the experience as a whole was awesome, because of the quality of the games and what i thought was an exciting format

HOWEVER!!! THE FUCKING OBSERVER NEEDS TO BE SHOT!!!!! He missed soooo much shit. A nexus at an expo had finished and had probes maynarding before he even scanned it. They kept the camera constantly focused on the "front line" action and then all of a sudden i was like "wtf, arbiter? where did that come from". Also, i want more Dungeon Fighter, BOUNCING EYEBALLS FTW!!!

I enjoy watching the best play whenever possible but..the allure of Superfight has sort of dissipated for me with the fact that they have one so often. To me watching progamers is about the quality of the games, not so much the quantity. And with all the preparation they put into starleagues, they usually produce amazing games. Plus the hype behind them makes it 10x more exciting. For me superfight is like a glorified exibition with some good games thrown in, but I don't especially look forward to it. I remember when they had the first one Boxer was in, I was so excited and thought about it days before hand. Now it's like..'another superfight?' eh, ok. I'll watch
