During the JF vs Cloud series, I mentioned several times that JF was better than Cloud. This was completely in error, I was trying to get across how dominant JF's mechanics are, especially when harassing, and that Cloud may have better results sidestepping with a slightly different strategy than going toe-to-toe with him.
Unfortunately, during live broadcasts people can get flustered, and that gets reduced to "JF is better than Cloud; Cloud should cheese to win" which is not what I was trying to say.
It was completely unprofessional and not what I meant at all. Sorry to everyone who listened to that comment, especially Cloud.

Everyone makes mistakes under pressure, and you guys pulled off a massive cast there, so congrats. Now all we need is a cookie monster to show that the apology has been accepted

Sure ill forgive you :p Even when you said that, I understood you meant mechanics anyway.
|
Yeah I understood what you meant as well.

np, its good that you try to act proffessional. Even though what you said was true, JF is a superior player to cloud.
|
I got what you meant. Besides, as much as I love cloud, it's true.

I cannot accept your apology sorry

Yeah seriously GTFO chill.

Well since you didn't do it to offend me I don't really mind anymore :D just try to keep the cast as neutral as possible to avoid these incidents! I never thought I was better than Iefnaij in the first place anyway but since I (as long as every other participants in TSL) put a lot of effort in practicing at Starcraft I just thought it was kinda unpleasant to hear such things live. But again, you didn't mean to offend anyone, so no big deal here

Oh man I guess the odd thing about doing cast of the replays is taht the players can watch to hear what you say about them ahhahaha, but yea Chill you meanie

Personally I didn't feel that Chill meant anything negative towards cloud, and I understand what Chill meant. However, I think it is really professional that Chill apologizes for this, especially towards Cloud, as I can understand how he feels about it (even though he probably didn't mean to say that Cloud was an inferior player).
Also, too bad you didn't make it Cloud. Well fought anyway, and better luck next time

Learning experience all around.
I liked both players play in that match.

I think Cloud has contributed a lot to this site and doesn't deserve this kind of racist treatment. He should prevent tl embedding any of his vods.

I was about to mention it, but then I thought about how awesome Chill was and decided not to =O.

Takes a real man to admit that he's wrong.
You were amazing Chill...definitely my favorite of the three commentators.

Hmm i dunno... I think we'd be living in a fantasy world if we thought each player was on the same level. A2 was better than me and had they broadcast out match they would be well within their rights to say as much. He has won TLT2, WCG Russia numerous times and always does well in big events. I think Iefnaij has proven he is the better player as well (despite winning the match) he went to China after qualifying in an extremely hard tourney and has tore everything else up in the meantime.
As Cloud said Chill didn't say it at any point to be offensive so I think its no harm no foul. Sure as cloud said it is "unpleasant" but thats competition. I think the best broadcasters are the ones that state their opinion and cast the game not live out some fantasy seudo political scheme where we dont step on toes and nobody hears opinions that may contradict comfort levels.
Chill is a great guy, especially for apologizing I just think it is unnecessary I could understand if he was being malicious but it is universally agreed he wasn't.
