Since we had one for Day 1 (where obviously more stuff had to be sorted out, since it was the first broadcast), let's have another one - shoot away people!
We know why the crash at the start of the broadcast happened, won't happen again.
Vaul had problems with his connections, so broadcast had to continue without him afterwards and Yannis apparently was not feeling to well, so Chill jumped in. Personally I love the Artosis/Chill combo, I felt they worked really, really well together.

They both did a really good job, although there were a couple issues where they were talking at the same time (dunno if they were actually talking at same time, I assume it was some sync issue). That's about all I have to say, good job to them :D (I only arrived right as it started out with Artosis/Chill commentating, so I don't know what happened earlier).
Oh also, I thought Chill's mic should be just a tad louder, artosis was easier to hear than him.

Yeah there was some lag that caused them to speak at the same time, I dunno if that can be fully avoided

Overall, I think it was a good cast and was enjoyable. However, the one thing I didn't like was how the guy controlling the video would screen over some buildings while an attack was going on or the commentators would talk about something and the screen would be somewhere else.

The only issue was really just the lag that caused Artosis and Chill to talk over each other sometimes.
I really would have liked Vaul to be able to stick around for the entire broadcast .
I have to say, though, the games today were some of the most entertaining I've ever watched, Korean or non. Great stuff.

loved vaul and artosis; vaul for his sexy voice and artosis for his analysis.
only complaint i might have is with the update of the stats and results; i was hoping someone would be more on top of things, updating results as they unfolded on the broadcast. a lot of us have been watching it and know the results, of course, but itd be nice to see them organized soon after the broadcasts.
also, any numbers on how many viewers there? i was watching it on VLC and didnt even notice there was one on the razer tsl website
edit: also, let's be honest here - the bracket image is kinda ugly when you compare it to the beautiful work that is everything else; the font is ugly, the giant VS distracting...

+ Show Spoiler +
I thought that it went really well. Sure, we'll want a lagless Vaul back on track but overall I thought that it went really well.
One thing that irked me were the player cards that were shown before and after every matchup. It'd be cool if the numbers changed to reflect the most recent game - the records before and after each win/loss and it bewildered me every time I saw them. Especially after a 2-0 series.

Day 2 results have been skimped on, should be fixed once people are a little freer
On that not we should have something to satisfy you very shortly

Chill is the best commentator you guys have had in the TSL. Artosis is not half bad himself. The one thing you are really missing is someone with a lot of energy to get excited for play-by-play.
|
You guys should let the players join in on the casting I would love to hear what is going through Drieven and Mondragon's mind throughout both games.
Maybe switch to fpvods once in a while, like the korean casters?
Thats all i have in mind. I cant really think of anything else to make this cast greater. Awesome job TL.net

The only issue I had from the cast was the various volumes. The intro was incredibly loud compared to everything else and Vaul was on the other end of the spectrum. Yannis could have been a bit louder. I kept having to fiddle with the volume throughout.
I love Artosis as a commentator. Great choice with him there. But please no Moletrap/Diggity/co ever.
And in response to the person above me, if American sports (NBA, NFL, MLB) have taught me anything, its that players make the worst casters. I think it'd be better to just leave it with Chill/Artosis/someone else.

But Nony was so entertaining with his mic in TL Attack
edit: And if its any better, what I really meant was the players casting for only the games they've played so that they can give some insights such as what they were thinking, what they thought the opponent were doing, etc.

Excellent cast again. Only thing was Kennegit hitting it at the beginning
The only real issues I had were those already stated, such as Artosis/Chill talking at same time, sound levels still a bit odd, etc.

Honestly it seemed like when Vaul, Artosis, and Yannis or w/e were casting, Artosis really dominated. The other guys barely spoke, it seemed like they kinda felt intimidated to say something, and just sort of let Artosis go on a one man show (at least it seemed to me that way).
that's really the only criticism I have.

Stream stability was flawless. I didn't find it a significant problem Day 1, but today it didn't go down at all (except the crash at the start).
Kennigit seemed to be better at keeping the camera in interesting places today. Among other things, he also seemed more responsive to going to look at things being commented on. He also picked up several drops and such the comentators missed, which was kinda funny. It'd be nice if Kennigit had some way to queue the other commentators on a location without that showing up on the VoD, but I doubt that's technically feasible. Given you're not ex-progamers who do this for a living, I think the camera control is realistically better than can be expected, and you're still getting better at it.
I didn't have any issue with volume levels today - the intro was adjusted appropriately, and I didn't really have any problem hearing any of the casters. If anything, the in-game music/sound might have been boosted a little too much, but it was better than Day 1.
The Chill/Artosis/Mani commentary group seemed to work out better to me. Those three are a near perfect setup, honestly - one player of each race, all with solid game knowledge, and they seem to have instant chemistry. The first couple of matches today weren't so smooth IMO. They seemed to be directly cuing each other, which just doesn't sound as good, at least to me. Chill/Artosis/Mani transition much more seamlessly. That said, Vaul seems to be a high quality caster and is probably worth bringing back if he can get his technical issues worked out. Yannis, while clearly a graphics god, is not such a strong commentator IMO. Maybe it's something that could be fixed with a little practice to get chemistry with the other casters, but he just doesn't seem to fit in as well, or have quite the depth.
Hopefully this doesn't come across as too negative - the overall cast today was still great, and basically all the (minor) problems from Day 1 were fixed. I just feel like the commentary team was a bit better the first day.

How was the chat spam today?

Really nice commentating, chill + artosis worked really well, with artosis a little more standard talking and chill analyzing a little more. I think the comments also improved from day 1, it felt more exciting watching.
The only thing that bugged me was that they kept missing really important thing that was going on, like huge stormdrops, bases being destroyed, and some unique builds that required comments earlier. So please try and put some attention at the mini-map, especially in games were a lot of action is going on, as in those awesome pvz's today! Thumbs up to kennigit btw, he caught most of the action.

special shoutout to artosis:
absolutely phenomenal job!! just flat out fantastic in every way.
