From the original creator of the build order tester comes a map whose training utility knows no bounds. I give you... the STALKER BLINK SURVIVAL MAP. Okay so it's not actually for training. The map is just for fun and to test your skillz.
Blink before projectiles hit you to dodge them. Use your spells in combination to take out the oncoming onslaughts of enemies.
two new abilities (stim & scanner sweep) rebalanced old abilities to make everything more useful rebalanced hydralisk attack added blink to roaches added different tileset for the spawn areas added timer in the top right showing how long until the next wave spawned & more
Managed to get a 109 by making a pdd castle and making 3 vortexs around it. Storming each when they broke if I had mana. Pretty fun map though, I'll see if I can beat my PR before the beta comes back.
ya the brood lords seem to be the most annoying thing by far, pdd seems to pretty much own everything else. feedbacking the battlecruisers is nice to as it makes them die in one less shot
i hate when you hear a battlecruiser charging up so you blink and still get yamatoed in the face. haha fun game though. after maybe 20 games ive gone from 15 kills to high 60's. still got a lot of work if i want in the 100's
84 after like.. 20 tries. Just using pdd and blink. Its easy once u figure out what to do but the enemies just keep gettin more and more so it gets way more difficult as time progresses. Here is one tip Just hold B button and left click in circles around the map tryin to snipe units in the way while also leaving pdd's all around the map which are kind of ur "safe zones" so u will have a lot of places to retreat to. Other spells are pretty much useless, not because they are bad, but couse u dont have enough time to cast them as units keep massing more and more and faster. I tried going like pdd fortress all in one spot and that doesent work couse of broodlings and yamato so u need a lot more space for maneuvering. Nice map qxc. ^^
Warri/Morrow are you guys both european? In my version I changed auto turret to R and fungal growth to G so there are no hotkeys used twice.
Not sure how to fix it assuming it is something to do with the european client. If anyone else could confirm the hk's not working correctly please let me know.

Yeah, i have Euro version too and both feedback and fungal ae on the same hotkey (F) and also turret and storm (T). confirmed.

That, exactly. Might also wanna note that when pressed F, it picks Fungal Growth, and with T it picks Storm. I play on the standard hotkey settings, if that's of any use.

I shall now put the rest of the criticism in laymans term. NRERF CATTLEBRUISAR PLZ. Indeed. While I don't mind them taking two shots unlike anything else in the game, if you don't have a PDD up you're dead, even with blink the damn thing follows you. But I really don't mind that either, however the yamato cannon, they can use it outside your field of vision. That just isn't fair one bit, it's sometimes impossible to dodge because you get a fraction of second to react and even then it's most likley that Blink is on CD.

Never seen a money storm on broodlings after phase 2 (50 kills)? That can rack you up 10-15+ kills. To dodge yamato, you have to blink as the yamato pulse is en route, your clue is the firing sound.

I have the euro client and I have the same problem
This is a really fun map, but seems like I'm using a different strategy than most. I only use blink + storm the entire game and can generally get to 70ish, but eventually I get cornered as I continue to kite around the map. It's really quite easy as you just storm some broodlings and then every once in a while try to storm the mass of banshees + hydras that are chasing. I guess I will have to try and use PDD to get into the 100s.

Yea sure, it does kill broodlings fairly easily, but it doesn't justify the high energy cost. You need your energy for PDDs in phase 2 and spending 75 of it on a storm is a huge risk. I have no problem dodging yamato cannons, when I can see the actual Battlecruiser, then you can dodge it, I have no issue with that. But it's when they are ofscreen that's a problem, if you don't know in which direction it comes from you more often than not just blink straight into it.
It's a great tip with the sound, but when you have 16 battle cruisers following you it won't do that much good :-)

I can't speak for feedback since I'm European and can't use it, but with that said, when you get to that point in game the turret will be one-shotted. Vortex, yea I can see the use of it, but it's still not going to help you in that situation, unless you are clairvoyant this goes for feedback aswell. Obviously I'm not the perfect tester, I can see how those skills would help with the yamato cannon, it's just that I can't see how you can use them if you can't locate the Cruiser.
55 Hits so far by staying in the middle of the map, spreading pdd's and pretty much ignoring the broodlings (FG and forget). I think this map will greatly improve my mouse accuracy as well as my micro. Huge thx qxc!

If you want to help me beta test v.03 send me a pm. I just ask that you give me positive feedback (LOL JOKE) regarding the map so when I actually do release it publicly it's better than ever.
140! I am rocking the stalker tonight. If you want some feedback, a quickreset button would be nice to have, sometimes you muck it up at the start and it takes 15 seconds just to find something that can kill you.

i dont know why people say that feedback isnt useful lol, a simple feedback on the bc and its only a one shot kill then, and if its been chasing your long enough the feedback can actually kill the battlecruiser
Anyone using the "fortress strat" ? What im doing is that im staying in the middle while laying a bunch of pdd and a small bit of blinking around, when there is broodlord I use FG on the broodling after killing the flying mustache, I got to 110 kill using sweet VNV Nation music and frantic micro, really the only spell I don't see myself using is auto turret
Jesus I don't know how people are getting over 100, when I can barely get 20. I must be missing something. Still a really fun map, using it to pass the time until beta phase II

QXC - you rock, your maps inspire me to root for you in your games! xD
This is a very good map that is instantly recommended to 2 friends. =) I am very curious about what you will implement in the next version as this is clearly very demanding, fast-paced and interesting already. I also really like that several strategies are viable and that every spell of the many has its uses. (maybe you might buff the turret a little and make psistorm cost like 40 energy and maybe I just did not experiment enough with it).
My critic is basically that is seems kind of random what you encounter. On some occasions I get 4 Broodlords + Roaches very early that instantly kill me and sometimes a get many banshees + hydras that eventually lead up to me dying at 86 kills. Also sometimes the Broodlords spawn with 2 broodlings and sometimes they got only 1 when they shoot first. Nothing major, just pointing it out. Might even be intentional.
Just blink around the edge saving up mana. When you have about 100 place a few turrets and let the broodlords throw their broodlings on them then just storm the shit out of them, et voila!
really once you start kiting around the edges you can probably go forever.... things just follow your pdd chain. If you want to make it more exciting, add a faster unit that spawns every so often that ignores pdd... somethign you have to micro hard to avoid on short notice
