I have made a mod which includes some units from original Starcraft and this only for fun, not for balancing things. It is recommended only for nostalgic gamers.
Map name: Blistering Sands - SC1 Units Desert Oasis - SC1 Units Kulas Ravine - SC1 Units Lost Temple - SC1 Units Metalopolis - SC1 Units Tectonic Rift - SC1 Units
Units Protoss: have one more unit = Scout; Zerg: have two more units = Lurker and Scourge; Terran: have one more unit = Goliath; and some units replaced: - Reaper replaced with Firebat; - Hellion replaced with Vulture; - Raven replaced with Science Vessel;
Spells Protoss: - Flux Vanes Increases the speed and acceleration of the Scout and Void Ray. - new research: Apial Sensors = Increases sight range of Observer by 3 and for Scout by 2. Terran: - EMP Round moved on Science Vessel; - Corvid Reactor Increases the starting energy of Science Vessel by 25; - new research: Charon Boosters = Increases the air attack range of the Goliath by 3; - Spider Mines need to be researched on Factory Tech Lab; - Irradiate need to be researched on Starport Tech Lab; Zerg: - Lurker Den requires Lair;
I made this mod for my self, to play it with my friends and I thought it'll be nice to share it. If you want a competitive mod, please wait for Lurker Mod or lets hope some teams are working on a Remake version.

Reavers are not in Editor and Firebat should replace Reaper because both have bonus vs light... you agree with that?

Or honestly, I would just make 2 versions if you want to make it nostalgic.
1) Pure SC1 units.
2) Add all the SC1 units to the full list of SC2 units.
On the topic of Reavers not being in the editor... I havent messed in the editor much yet, but wouldnt it be fairly simple to make a slightly edited version of the Infestor (since they look almost the same) and give em scarab ability?

I don't know if editor have Scarab ability or something similar, but if exist and I managed to create a Reaver, I will try to make more similar to original. Till then, I'm considering that Reaper and Medivacs will maintain the mobility of the Terran and this is needed in SC2 because of new Warping system, Colossus mechanic and Creep bonus.
By the way... What do you think about Lowered Supply Depot to be buried, for the fun? (It's only a thought)

reduce the size of the mothership make it faster and call it the arbiter? ;D also making mass recall smaller and so on
lurker is fucking awesome. just messed around in a game vs a hard computer and having the lurker REALLY helped to gain map control and slowly get to his base

A real SC1 unit mod would be could. Would like to see how terran would be played nowadays if there's still a firebat & vulture instead of marauder and hellion.

I'm thinking you could do something along the lines of a broodlord that shoots banelings to make a reaver. I also saw one custom map with a reaver model in it but I don't know how it was done.
EDIT: It appears the model of immortals was somehow replaced with a reaver. The map is called "Probert the Probe" on EU if you'd like to have a look at it.

that was a sweet looking Reaver, if a bit on the yellow side. If you build it they will come. So, where is my Brood War on the SC2 engine? Well, keep up the good work everyone.
I have a dream, that one day, Brood War will exist in the SC2 engine...
But seriously, how do you edit units in this editor. It is so complicated!

devourer defiler guardian, no queen and one gas per base u need Plague and darkswarm cause they so good. i really hope i can play this map

A pure sc-1 (unless building size from SC2) would be great.
If you could remove chokes (terrain mod :O) that'd be awesome.

actually, i like your mod more than the actual sc2 state. i love this damn lurkers so much, cant tell lol...
whats really strange is the fact, that if i go fast speedling / lurker , iam not nearly as starved on gas. i dont have 3k minerals and 20 gas as i have in the ladder. i want them back so much Q_Q

also, maybe give the immortal some kind of scarab-y type projectile for a makeshift reaver? :D
