It could also benefit from either Aranae Manufacturing or Drilling Claws, or even both, to make it a great support unit for your army. But won't Drilling Claws be toxic towards the dynamics of the game? Not really. With the widow maker never actually cloaking, the drilling claws just means that its a quicker time from starting to deploy the mine to when the mine is planted. The Widow Maker never actually cloaks. So what do you think of this idea? Wasn't that the orginial idea which inspired Dustin Browder to make the current version of the Widow Mine? | ||

Yeah, there were a lot of ideas floating around about making a mine-spawner instead of a detonating mine back when it was 1 shot insta use. | ||

In any case, how'd you enjoy it? My personal favorite change for protoss is the robo tech: Sentries and colossus are absolutely terrifying. My other favorite is the reduced effectiveness Warp Gate altogether. I'd suggest after researching Warp Gate that you convert two or three Gateways into Warp Gates for shenaniganry and emergency provisions, and macroing off of the rest of them as you would normally. It really is a different dynamic that feels so right! | ||
