Protoss is going to be really strong on this map in my opinion. Blink is a strong option and air units are going to make defending the central expansions a lot easier. All the chokes will favor Protoss and even Terran to an extent.
I like the layout. All of the expansions are placed in a forward manner and you have two directions you can expand towards, but the expansions are clearly defined for one of the players. I'm only worried about racial balance; I really like everything else about this map!
This doesn't look balanced, but I want it Nice work on base layouts, very cool. It'd take a league like proleague to pick it up though (because you pick players for maps, so if its bad for race X then that race just doesn't need to play on it!).
Considering what Utopia Planatia is an experimental shipyard, maybe you could use some broken down battlecruisers and shipyard doodads (like they have in that WOL mission with the Odin and the Loki) to spice up the aesthetics

I disagree. I think holding that many bases without being aggressive would be challenging. Drops for Terran and Mutalisks for Zerg would be a hindrance to that.

Air units are meant to be strong on this map so I am glad you say that. This map is not very chokey. Yes there are points that are less open than the really open spots but those narrower spots are not very small.

What isn't balanced about it? It is unorthodox but I don't know how you can make that determination so easily.

Good question. I will check that the numbers on the patches didn't get changed somehow.
edit: it is because all the mineral patches except for the naturals have lab minerals and the analyzer is not counting them. Therefore it is only counting the 16 patches at the naturals.
