Deciding was hard, good job from all of you

It really doesn't seem like there are too many maps published in a month that it needs to be whittled down to 5. It's not TLMC. World of Sleepers is my fav here.

There were actually like 25-30 map threads this month.

My favourites are Chaac Marshes and Demon's Claw. Definitely the best designed with most reasonable proportions IMO. I like the design concept of Red Rock Ridge but it's made as if every nook and cranny expects a full 200/200 army to pass through comfortably. No dynamic terrain.

Tough choice this month, a lot of good ones.

I want to be a part of the map cave.

World of Sleepers Mutiny is also cool, but no 4th makes this map really bad for P/T in the lategame.
And both are probably imbalanced due to blink imo.

I don't get how Mutiny has gotten a finalist spot, the 3rd and 4th are only half bases, and the 5th is really hard to take. Basically you're forced to take the gold. I feel like it has simply too many experimental features to be considered a serious map.

Good thing motm wasn't meant to be another TLMC style contest that only highlight serious maps. Motm rides on the idea of promoting new and interesting maps which use a variety of features. If anything, motm needs more experimental maps such as mutiny. I know I certainly plan on doing more.

Chaac Marshes is such a beautiful map compared to the rest who are, to be honest, rather bland looking. It's a very solid concept overall with nice and small adjustments (no watchtowers, dropable highground, possibilities for blink, etc.). Feels like the perfect combination to me...

I voted for Mutiny by Timetwister, the map has its flaws but at least it's not as boring as the other maps. I don't know how the game would look like if this map was implemented on the ladder and that's what I like about it. The problem with the other maps is that I can already tell what's gonna happen on them.

Mutiny, Red Rock Ridge and Epimetheus are all good, rest is just boring (Chaac Marshes is pretty, but nothing more).
|
I wanted to vote for World of Sleepers, but unfortunately it's just not balanced, so I voted for Chaac Marshes instead. All others either force you into one specific expansion pattern or have gimmicks that I personally dislike.

Went with Chaac Marshes. Gorgeous aesthetics and sort of reminds me of Cloud Kingdom, which is a good thing.
|
I am personally really happy with the map picks, all of them look really cool and polished! Having a hard time making predictions this time.

I predict that Red Rock Ridge will win. I want Mutiny to win though >.>
