Not long ago, when I was watching, for the umpteenth time, Star Wars "The Empire Strikes Back" I felt ispired to make a SC2 map. I took inspiration from the Dagobah system (that swampy planet where Yoda exiled himself). I cound't simply place a Starwars planet in the SC2 universe so I searched for a similar planet belonging to the SC2 universe and I found this Garxxax from "Acid burns" - a short story by Antony Johnston
Description:
"Garxxax is a small world on the fringes of Terran Dominion space. It has a tropical climate with mountainous rainforests, and high humidity. Heavy rainstorms are common through the planet. Unnaturally warm oceans cover the majority of the planet's surface." - http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Garxxax -

This map should be pretty standard apart from the two entrances for the natural base. One of these entrances is a little bit special, it consists in a narrow strip of land and it's blocked on the farther end from the natural base.

I tried all sort of units in this map to test if some appear to be totally broken. I noticed that blink stalkers can blink from the "5th base" to the "narrow strip of land" that links to the natural (reference img - red). Even if this is possible it should't be a problem. First you still have the highground vision and they have to walk up the ramp and second there is no reason to blink there since there are much better blink positions (for exemple: reference img - blue). Also a siege tank placed in that narrow passage can harass the workers on the natural but still he needs highground vision. It is very likely that there is some exploit I did not think about.

**KNOWN ISSUE: I don't know why but blink stalkers sometimes can blink onto unpathable terrain even tho I specifically set it to unpathable, and when they do it they remain stuck there until they can blink out again. Also you can drop units onto unpathable terrain and then they remain stuck there too** o.o ?
**This is an issue that should not be a problem if you play it against AI or a friend. But If someone has an idea how to fix it, your help is much appreciated. **
**Also let me know if this map makes your game lag, I might have to thin the vegetation a little bit (dat doodads addiction man...)**
While I was making this map I learned that is very difficult to create a map with a standard, generally accepted, layout without making it a boring one. Lot of respect for all those mapmakers that can do it.
Bye
Cheers !
