Hard to say, but don't count on it. A winstreak doesn't do all that much for promotion. You need to be matched against players of a higher league and keep a good winrate (50% or better) against them. Once you've had that for a while, you will get promoted. A 15-5 series will boost your MMR, which will cause you to be matched against higher level players more regularly, but you first need to keep up a good score against them for your MMR to settle in the range of the higher league.
Rannasha is completely correct but I just wanted to add a link to an in depth TL guide to how the system works, in case you were interested.

Just expand early, stop 1baseing if you do. The way you will improve your macro the most is by improveing your macro!

Is the 3 stalker rush meant aggresively or defensively? I've seen a lot of players in my league use it aggresive, but I always thought it was a defensive build against a 4 gate.

Defensive in the sense that you have 3 very early stalkers to prevent proxy pylons from going down near your half of the map.
Aggressive in that you can pick off the zealot-stalker push out a typical 4gater would do, but ultimately still a defensive maneuver.
I'm guessing what you mean is people in your league make 3 stalkers and just a-click to your base. That's pretty funny because if I was 4gating, I would have a probe hidden (which you always should if you are indeed 4gating) and sneak into their base to throw down pylons. Free win.

Probably not the right place, but it's a simple question :D On my liquibet stats page I have 111 points, but on the rankings, only 109. Is that a bug or something? Cheers!

As a gold zerg who is switching to Terran, what are the main things that I should try to focus on?
Are the builds just a few posts above the ones that I should focus on? I would quite like to Mech v Z but i don't know if i have the appropriate skill to do that?

Is it still suicide on Tal'Darim Altar to do anything other than 4-gate in PvP? If not, what other things can you do?

I am getting very discouraged. I have been watching alot of Ret and Sheth and trying to copy their gamestyle. I haven't really been Into 1v1 for the past year but I am trying to get back Into it. I will play some ladder and win like 5 games in a row doing the 15 hatch 16 pool etc, trying to copy the "ProS". Then I will lose the next 4 games doing the same thing. I am in Silver, but I have faced diamond and plat players ( is that normal?) and won. Am I trying to hard to play "prostyle correctly" for my low league standing?
Thanks in advance,

Depends what you're losing to? Copying pro-style is always good for improvement, but you have to realize that more often than not their "style" isn't a pre-planned BO. 2 lings, 4 lings, 6 lings, keep guys on gas, pull guys off gas, baneling nest, roach waren, make units, drone, etc... most of these decisions are game-dependant based on what these pros scout. If you are facing those high players (and you think their skills are respective of their rank), then you are probably set for a promotion and the game is just seeing where your skill cap is.
Remember that the blizzard matchmaking system is designed to get your W/L % to 50%..... this means if you've been stomping your bronze/silver league, the game is gonna put you against harder opponents until you lose a lot. This means you're improving! Keep it up :D

Yes. Still Suicide, but you always have the option of defensive 4-gating. If you and your opponent both defensive 4gate, it could potentially turn into a macro game. Otherwise, micro practice!

I know two variations of the 1 Rax FE vs Toss.
One is the one Day9 discussed, EmpireKas' super easy to learn TvP style. It gets 3 rax, 2 tech 1 react, and 3 CC.
The other is the one I read in Drewbie's terran guide on complexity's site. He does a 1 rax FE, with 2 CC, and 4 rax, 3 tech 1 reactor.
I'm a silver terran and more than often vs Toss I face early gateway pressure followed by an expansion and either colossi or templar, which opening is better to learn? (I use EmpireKas' one now, and more than often die. I just lost a game versus a 3 gate 2 gas player on 1 base. I saw him take his 2nd gas and have 3 gates, so I didn't expect any early pressure but a fast tech.)

Where can I find the recent MLG replays?

Recently took up T myself after playing Z the last 2 years.... Some things that I needed to learn:
- throwing down enough production to spend my money. Expoing as terran makes your money spike, really fast, mules really are f*king incredible. Make sure u have enough production for it.
-Terran is fantastic to learn early in that you can follow a BO quite well in the early game of each matchup... find one that you like for each MU (for me it's a 1rax expo in every matchup) and become familliar with everything about it, timings, transisitions, when to hold allins, etc. This really helps develop your terran gamesense.
-stutter-step micro: I still suck at it, but it makes the bio sooooooo much more powerful if executed well. Remember all those times you got 2-raxed as zerg? Yeah, stutter-step is strong. Learn it.
-Mech vs Z is fun for sure, but it is a long, macro-oriented strategy. Make sure you are aware that to learn this style, you will be attempting to play the long game, and must learn to expand, harass, hold, produce, etc, all at once. If you are really brand-new to terran, Learning a 2-base timing or 1-base allin first isn't a bad idea, as it gets you far more familliar with terran mechanics. Mech requires that you are at least aware of the basic mechanics, or else you'll find yourself dying long before you are able to push out with that sturdy force.
Good luck!

Wow, thanks a bunch. Its quite funny seeing the TvZ matchup from a different perspective And you are so right about the money spikes as well, getting adjusted to the production mechanices is really difficult, especially coming from a zerg background and not a toss one.

What's the build order for stephano's 12 min push for pvz up to about 30-40 supply?
|
If im playing PvZ and plan to get HT and i see that my opponent is going roaches, is it more beneficial to go archon instead of storms?

In the Speedling Expand (Liquipedia) build, what is the optimal spawning pool time?
The build order says 12-15, depending on if the second hatch is denied. So, if second hatch is denied, I should go as soon as it is, and otherwise go at 15? I thought 14 was better than 15. This is slightly confusing to me.
P.S. I'm a Gold Zerg who hasn't played since season 3 really. Just started again as random. I am Silver now.
