Not sure what you mean, any kind of splash damage can hit cloaked units that are not detected.

how do you know where a SCV stands when it is done building?
when i wall off with terran i want my scv to be in the base and not outside

At the diamond level is turning your focus away from your army, in fights, to inject better than to stay and try and micro? I feel that any micro i can do is easily out weighted by more larva. As a general rule.

You don't, it's random. Setting a move waypoint inside your base after building might help sometimes though (shift + right click inside your base after the build command).

You don't need to watch the fight, but you ideally want to watch the engagement. If your injects pop and the fight will begin before you'd finish injecting your hatches, then holding off for an extra second might make a much bigger difference.
edit: The most important part of a fight is how you're positioned, which can make or break fights -- consequently if your opponent stims in while you're poorly positioned you might lose the game immediately. Varies on the comp and how impactful controlling your units can be. Good examples are banelings/mutas, pretty much don't want to be amoving them and hitting marine/tank the wrong way.

Is this true or just a guess?

That is not a simple question. Try looking though the Zerg Help Me Thread for some ideas

Why has the amount of Minerals/Gas been changed on Daybreak?
|
Simple question:
What are some good 'radio' shows on SC2? Like State of the Game?
I would like to download some audio onto my phone/ipod/car/thing so I can listen to them while doing some work and driving. State of the game is usually what I listen to but they aren't making new episodes :X
|
Simple question, too:
I'm looking for high level 2v2 replays/VOD of current season/patch.
What I already have searched:
- TL search = no good answers, old threads (2011) - ProTech stream: I often check his stream but these times he's playing 1v1 so... - some websites like sc2-replays.net with no succes (only 1V1 games)
If anyone can help me...

Do burrowed units still count as a close-by ground unit for the purpose of watchtowers? To put more simply, will you get full watchtower vision with say, burrowed banelings?

I'm a Zerg player:
Why terran players wastes a lot of scans to kill tumors with hellions when a simple raven can do the job without hurting the macro (ie, the energy spent must be used on MULES instead...)?

Ravens are 200 gas, not to mention the starport and tech lab. Having 3 scvs mining gas instead of minerals for the length of time required to get that amount of gas usually hurts your economy more than a couple of scans. That said, it's not unheard of for Terran to get a single raven for that very purpose. Off the top of my head, MKP did it against Symbol a little while back (Iron Squid, I think?) with a two banshee with raven opening (using the raven's PDD to fend off queens) and held the creep back deep into the midgame.

No they don't. A burrowed unit can tell you if your opponent has the watch tower (indicated by a full VS broken tower) but it will not give you control over the watch tower, much like DT (IIRC).

I know for a fact that DTs can hold watchtowers, and that the activated watchtower with no apparent units present can give away the presence of DTs to your opponent. Appreciate the answer, though, thanks.

I quit SC2 for a few months, then came back and did 5 placement matches. My internet crashed during 2 of them, including the first one which was vs. a bronze player, so I ended up in silver despite winning the other 3. I was mid masters before I quit.
Do I have no choice but to grind out a bunch of games vs. noobs until I'm at a respectable rank? :/

It wouldn't actually take that long at master level play to get back up past all the newbs (like me ) especially since Blizz has increased the MMR range you can play against. The only other option unfortunately is if you don't play any ladder games for a whole season, you get your 5 placements games back.

Hey TL, I've been having some trouble PvT vs 2base 2 medivac MM push... I just keep on dying to this by doing 1g expo...When the push comes, I have charge, +1 armor on 5g robo at around 110 supply...my zealots always die for some reason...
I have no real problem holding the push by doing nexus first because of the amount of unit I can produce, but right now I want to hold the push with 1g expo...so a little help here would be appreciated ^^
