1. Is there any arcade game or custom map that specifically trains minimap awareness?
2. If a hatchery dies and I start a new hatchery at the same spot, are the larvae sitting there from the old hatchery "orphaned"? (i.e. I can't produce from them with a hotkey command aimed at the new hatchery?)
3. Are there any sites, here or elsewhere, that archive an organize replays and/or VODs by types of game? I play Zerg and would be interested in reviewing replays or VODs of specific play types that I am trying to learn. So for instance, it would be useful to see a bunch of 2 rax/bunker rush games to see the successful defense methods and the ones that failed. Or to see a bunch of immortal/sentry games to see how successful defenses worked, and the defenses that failed. Etc. etc. Just seeing the specific game type (2rax for instance) come up sporadically in tournaments seems inefficient in terms of learning.

1. See This post
2. I don't know what you mean. No, they are not connected with the hatchery when it finishes. You should be using that larva long before 100 seconds are up.
3. SC2links is the #1 source for VoD links. It's not really possible to sort out the games beforehand though. The closest you can get to that is downloading GGTracker and loading a replay pack into it; from there, you can kind of sort through strategies based on build orders and stuff (though obviously not as reliable as just watching the games).

If you click an area that is too close, they will all move to that target area. If you move further, they'll move in the formation they currently are.
It's very visible with Mutalisk and Phoenix. The Ground units have a larger area this works in.

Quick quesiton : does anyone actually know at what point or under what reason Blizzard fixed the Carpet Bombing with Baneling drops into army?
I remmeber hearing sometime in 2011 or 2012 that they changed the way that BLings dont drop on top anymore but on the sides or something?
Wouldn't bringing it back make ZvP more fun again too?Or was it OP? (PS : recently watched some 2010 and 2011 games and it seems like a such a cool thing :D)

Hi, I am a Wings of Liberty player. Here is my question. Is it possible to do the 11 minute 1-1 timing in TvZ to clear creep without speed medivacs? How else can you limit creep spread in early mid game, beside the initial 6 hellions?

This is a pretty natural timing to make medivacs, so I'm not sure why you would intentionally try to skip the medivacs. If you don't have medivacs, this pressure becomes more like a dedicated attack (I'm thinking some kind of stimmed bio + hellbat type of push), and you really shouldn't be wasting time clearing creep with it anyway.
A possibility for limiting creep is the "qxc bunker", which is a relatively early bunker near the natural ramp of your opponent to stop the creep tumors from pushing down the ramp too early; however, this is less useful against gas openings and more powerful against the 4-queen or 6-queen openers.
Otherwise, you really should have too much of a problem stopping creep with reaper/hellion if you're really staying on top of it. Just mark the exact times that the creep tumors get thrown down and practice coming in with your hellions solely just to snipe the active creep tumors.

Has anyone ever studied what portion of APM goes into macro commands (making workers and assigning them to gas or minerals, constructing bases and buildings, building units etc.) vs. microing and controlling units to attack, move or cast spells? I would certainly imagine this would vary between the races and between playstyles, but has it been looked at?

I see a lot of people refering to their matchup win rates (ie: PvZ 60%, TvZ 40%, etc.). Is this information avaiable in game?

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. Just a minor thing: it's under Ladder > Statistics > Race report,
37% ZvZ, ouch.

It also shows a map report there too, showing your win rates on all the ladder maps

I would like to know which rank I have on a global scale in %. I'm close to getting promoted to master but can't find my %. There was a new SC2 ladder ranking website here on TL where you could see the % of your global rank. I forgot to save it and can't find it anymore.
It wasn't: SC2ranks.com or Nios.kr
Maybe someone can help.

(PS : recently watched some 2010 and 2011 games and it seems like a such a cool thing :D) Erm, Before the change to that it was possible to drop banelings anywhere underneath an overlord. After the change, banelings would first 'land' on a suitable location, before exploding.
In practice, this made carpet bombs not devastate clumps of units from the inside, but rather made them explode on the outside of the units, making the damage not as massive.
IIRC (may very well be wrong on this) it was changed because banelings bombing + zerglings/roaches completely raped anything not collosus/archon/air Protoss could put on the field.

Hello all. If I have an unit selection, and I want to deselect one unit, I shift-click its icon on the UI. Is there a way to remap the "shift-click" combination hotkey, e.g. "rightclick"? Thank you.

Select army, move army to location, shift-click one unit, crtl + hotkey nr.
Same effect.
I do however think clicking shift isn't too time consuming :S?

Well, it is definitely possible within the UI. I use it, for example, when transfering Probes to an expo: just grab a bunch of them, send them to a gas, shiftclick thrice, send to another gas, shiftclick thrice and to minerals. I'm accustomed to the rightclick from other RTSs, so I want to remap just for ease, you see.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood you.
