I use it, for example, when transfering Probes to an expo: just grab a bunch of them, send them to a gas, shiftclick thrice, send to another gas, shiftclick thrice and to minerals. I'm accustomed to the rightclick from other RTSs, so I want to remap just for ease, you see.
You might want to look up Rapid Fire. I think it does what you are explaining... Sorry, I think I misunderstood you.
I think you understood him correctly the first time, and Shift + left click for removing units from the selection is indeed hardcoded and can't be changed within SC2 (even if you re-map "Selection" in the hotkey editor from left click to right click, for example). Rapid Fire has nothing to do with this.

It's not about points, its mmr (which is hidden last I checked). So you can't really know. People have been promoted with barely a few games in diamond, while others have been stuck at nr1 spot for weeks.
Popular wisdom holds that the larger a map, the tougher it is for Terran due to reinforcing distance.
This is by far the largest map pool we've ever had. Only one map is smaller than Whirlwind, two are actually bigger.
And yet everyone talks about the map pool as Terran-favored. How is that possible? Is map size really not that important in terms of balance, after all?
Hi, I got a new keyboard and want to rebind the ctrl key to alt. I rebound my ctrl +1-9 to alt + 1-9, but i can't figure out how to rebind just ctrl for selecting one type of unit in wire frame.

If its a gaming keyboard: Most of them have the ability to rebind keys in their own drivers.

That popular wisdom was made when all Terran did was doing the railroad attack, aka reinforcing all units to the enemy base and just do a continious attack for several minutes until they lose or win.
Now a days terran meta is much more based on multiple attacks and army placement, terran much more rarely reinforces in the field anymore due to increase raids on supply lines, more focus required on reinforcements and having no defence at home against counter attacks.
When a map is called terran favored now it is typically due to if the terrain favors combat for the terran units.
With the expansion coming up and the increasingly amount of micro heavy units and spellcasters, I assume many of us who didn't use a reasonable number of hotkeys for units will have to make a change.
Do you think we will have to adapt? I didn't follow broodwar, but in sc2 army management was sort of done as a whole, as in you micro your units in blocks.
How are we gonna micro important spellcasters in the expansion? More hotkeys or more individual selecting?

Shift Click them.
Select base 1, move camera to base 2, shift click base 2, control "hotkeynumber", done.
you can just select the second base and use shift instead of control. control sets a group and shift adds to it. if your group is 10 lings and you select 10 roaches and shift+1 you will have a group with 10 lings and 10 roaches
Do any of the new map pool maps have rules as to where each player can spawn? (like foxtrot had the only diagonal thing) I can't find any info on them anywhere.
