Hey guys I made an account just to ask this because it is really annoying so I hope you can help me.
When I click my workers at the beginning of the game I often accidentally select them all and make them all go to the same mineral patch when I wanted to just select one of them and make it go to a closer mineral patch.
The issue is that the time frame the game accepts as a "double click" which causes me to select all workers at once is way too long. Is there any way to shorten it so it SC2 doesn't register two clicks that were not meant to be a double click as a double click?
Thanks in advance.

In zvp, how do I play against stargate opening either Oracle or Phoenix? in lotv.
In zvt, how do I play against Liberators?

Do you even realize how fucking stupid hard it is to find shit in this thread? I can't believe a mod would want me to put questions here... IT's not even a simple fucking question!
Seriously why did they kill the best dynamic in the game ( ffe ) for a shit unit like the ravager. Basically utter randomness now, no more awesome planned out attacks that calculate the use of every ability and such// Just spray n pray they can't micro.. Fucking stupid design imo

Questions are repeated constantly in this thread. It's not that big of a deal if you can't find someone who asked it earlier. The annoying part is when the same question gets asked 3 times pr page, but that has not happened for a while now

Like in your initial post, it's very hard to understand what you're talking about. FFE stands for Forge Fast Expand, it was a build where you would go pylon forge nexus or pylon nexus forge in its greediest version.
Nowadays you don't need the canons anymore cause your have the pylon overcharge, so you don't need the forge either. you simple get a gate and a cyb core and voila.
Now the question is why did you think FFE was the best dynamic in the game? it was just a way to expand faster than the usual one gate expand, what was so great about pylon forge nexus that you whished gate core expand would achieve?
Please explain.

Does anybody know whether there's a VOD for Catz vs Firecake at the last Dreamhack? Their twitch seems to not have their matches.

I just started playing again since Beta I enjoy playing random but I really dont know what the common playstyles are. Can anybody tell me the "most meta" unit comps for each matchup? Dia/Master ladder, thx

Hello there, I just starting playing since WOL. Terran player here. Wondering what's a basic economic/macro-based opening that can apply to all matchups so I can practice that before I learn other openings. I was high ranked platinum back in the day.

@escoffer reaper expand. without cutting any SCVs,
14 depot 15 rax/gas 3 SCVs to gas when ready reaper @ barracks complete barracks SCV > nat CC @ 400 minerals
From here, what you do depends on what you scout and how aggressive your opponent is. You could go 3 rax, 1/1/1, 2/1/1, whatever. Be aware that you are really exposed for the first few minutes of the game, and you are better off getting a reactor on the rax (and going straight into marine production) instead of the reaper (and sending an SCV scout instead) if you have poor micro - expanding with no army and throwing away your reaper without dealing any economic damage to your opponent is bad and can cost you the game if your opponent is aggressive.

easyest and fastest way to win as random vs elite ai?
as P i'm just 4gate adept rushing, but no idea as Z and T

Howdy guys, i have a short guide that assumes a base knowledge of TvT and 1/1/1 openings. As such it doesn't go into excruciating detail for all little things like exact build orders (which are quite frankly impossible for TvT) but instead states milestones in the strategy for people to reach and the reasons why they're done.
Basically is this "style" of strategy guide acceptable or do i have to spend an eternity pointing out every conceivable tangent and variation based on opponents builds? Will it just get removed if i post this?
http://ggtracker.com/matches/6659750Basically i SCV scout to see if he has gone gas first, or is double gasing for some one base schenanigans. I see that he's gone rax gas, which means it's safe to go 3CC. I poke with my hellions to spot what he's doing and see a tank and a bunch of marines, confirming that it's bio. From there i go mass hellion, viking till the early midgame, and support it with a handful of banshee's and ravens. You eventually transition into a normal tank-style of mech or into sky terran. How it works: * Tankivacs have a delay when they fire, this lets hellions close the gap and kill any marines, before the first shots from their tank fire. * Raven auto turrets and banshee's clean up any marauders or tanks that your hellions cant kill * Vikings clean up every medivac or viking they have. Basically until they get to about 6 or so tanks it's suicidal for a bio player to be out on the map vs this style. My army kills his so fast that i can trade super easily and then expand and get more production behind it. Off most games, i'll get a 4th base before a bio player. Notes: The reason i dont do tanks early on, is while a sieged up tank beats a tankivac in a 1v1 early game because of the firing delay, it's not mobile enough to defend all your positions correctly and a skilled bio player can just pick you apart. This style makes use of how a bio player spends all his gas on tanks and medivacs which makes him very vulnerable to vikings and hellions in the early game.

Hey, haven't played SC2 since WOL. I don't really know the units of LOTV, much less HOTS. I've been doing great on ladder just outmacroing people, but just curious on how the flow of the game kinda should be like for zerg (are ultralisks still destroy everything in every match up?).
Wondering if you guys could point me to some solid zerg players to watch a few games of to get a feel of the match-ups.
Also, how are you really supposed to open? The whole 13 drones thing really throws me off, not sure when to order pool, overlord, and hatch.

In WoL and HotS everybody used to have 24 workers per base but why now when I switch expansions worker bar shows 16? Isn't this LotV thing?!! http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=25728963
It has always been the same - 24 workers is the maximum where adding a worker helps you, but 16 per base is the most efficient. if you have 16 workers, it doesn't matter if you have 1 or 2 bases. if you have 24, you would get significantly more income by trasferring 8 to another base.

I don't really play SC2 too much so I sounded like total retard . Ah, my bad I'm so noob, didn't pay attention to "Does not change the actual mining behavior of workers". Blizz improved those stats a lot then. Thanks for explanation.
In other hand no one told me that 16 is optimal number so I was thinking 24 is right number because 3 workers for each patch like tooltip says, if less I thought I will get less income on my main. This blew my mind.

Could someone explain the general compositions you generally go for in each match-up? I'm a bit confused coming from WOL.
ZvZ I can't tell if you want to go roach/ravager or roach/hydra. ZvP Again, not really sure on ravagers or hydras ZvT I can't tell if it's ling/bane/infestor or roaches. I guess you get corruptors vs liberators?
And are vipers or swarmhosts common? As I understood they were major units in HOTS but from the limited videos I've seen and streams, I never see them. And are infestors used much? I'm used to making quite a few from WOL...
So far just been dominating ladder with just macro, but I can't help but feel that I'm making entirely 'wrong' units and taking much longer to kill opponents than normal.
