There are timings that you can use thoughout a game to dump minerals or gas to your partner for a greater army. ZP for example, the zerg does a normal speedling build but keeps guess in game. Only making lings and feeding the toss gas for quick gateway units. Then the zerg techs to a spire and the toss dumps to zerg for fast mutas Toss techs to colossus and gets dumped Zerg techs to broodlords at the end with resouces dumped from toss. There has to be alot of cooperation and trust when it comes to money dumping. I don't know how many times i've been in a game and said "im getting a spire, can you send gas if you got some spare" only to have a reply a few mins later "im going go muta!" *facepalm* i already have a spire up and have mutas on the field....

While you can get away with this kind of stuff in gold league, that hardly means anything.... You can do all matter of silliness at that level... I've bc rushed in diamond level team games... Real test of a build is can it survive in masters. I guess that's Kind of a down-putting thing to say, and I don't mean it that way, but you should definitely keep thinking and playing outside of the box, just keep getting better at the basics so you can get out of gold!

Not just cheese or a lame strat, but pretty much cheating. Why? Because by being able to circumvent the 5 minute resource trading rule, you can do things that are PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for a normal 2 person team where nobody quit to do. You can both attack and tech faster than physically possible for a normal team. I mean in a tournament you can 6 pool or cannon rush or do whatever "cheese" you want. But I seriously doubt any legit 2v2 tournament would ever allow a team to run the "one player quits instantly "strategy"."

However, the one difference was that vitamin built a few marines and bunkered the front to counter any super early aggression—I believe they play at a fairly high masters level. Yes, high level master players have experimented and tested many strategies involving resource pooling. If I'm not mistaken the strategy you're talking about is for PT against more static combos, especially effective on shared base maps. I remember watching Select's stream and seeing him and optikzero struggle against that strat. Found this video which might give better insight to the strat and execution. Leads me to believe that hackkiddin and nox originally devised this strategy. They seem to rely on the bunker and early sentries to block off any form of aggression. P rushes colo and once he gets resources adds gateway units. After a few waves of units, T seems to get an early expo. http://www.justin.tv/sarnox/b/286803564
