Hi!
In most pro games I ever watch and the Protoss army is completely EMPed, the Terran army stops kiting and just sits there and mows everything down.
Does anybody know if thats the most efficient way since the Protoss army is going to die so fast? Would is still be better to kite?
Do pros just do that because its over and they know it...?

It's based on what you determine by looking. They didn't stop kiting because of emps. They stopped kiting because they are going to win the battle and are ready to MOVE FORWARD if the Protoss starts to retreat. So long story short. Just look at your army compared to his and ask yourself "do I need to kite to minimize losses or should I stay where I am for maximum dps." you'll know the answer just based on what you see. And if you don't you need more experience until you do know that answer. Oh and I mean ask that while the battle is going on. Most of the time kiting is needed initially because of zealot numbers but once they are lowered + no shields from emp they drop like flies before even getting to the army so it isn't anymore

Breailfor hit the nail on the head.
(cmon petrify you're like gm level masters as random and you don't know this?)

EMP doesn't really dictate kiting as much as whether you are about to break through the engagement.

Generally the zealots are weak enough that you can smash them without taking too much damage. If that's not the case. then kite.

If there are HT and you didn't hit them all with emp, kite.

even vs colossi... many many times i've lost to 6+ colossi because i had 17 vikings and ghosts, emped everything and once colossi were gone, my bio was dead =/

i think this completely depends on your and your opponents army composition. if you start kiting you will lose your ghosts for sure, because they will be in the front in no matter of time. at the same time ghosts are the most valuable part of your army - so if there is no aoe for the protoss, or not much, and you got a good ghost amount i think you should probably not kite.

You need to kite if he is heavy on aoe damage, aka you missed some of the hts or he has a bunch of collosus, you can't just stand there and take it from 5 collosus even if you have 12 vikings cuz they are just too powerful, you have to kite to minimize damage. (nothing makes me rage like when I land perfect emps and lose anyway -.-)

basically you should always be kiting as long as they have plenty zealots as you are just avoiding damage for free. It's not always a priority number #1 though especially if many things are going on and the zealots are just about to die. Especially lategame against chargelots it get's too difficult for some to kite effectively to the point that they don't bother much with it and focus more on other stuff but that doesn't make it a good decision.

Kite with stalkers, tempest, or even maybe immortals? idk just Try your best with kiting ok.
