Hey,
Actually, when I have to hold the two buttons at the same time, it is kind of weird, but in general, you are never holding both, you just press one after the next one. The most natural pose would be: A: jump creep Z: set X: jump creep S: set D: jump creep C: set
But this will be hard to understand, I think.
Also, I am now experimenting with the next setup already. In there are 2 great new features: 1) adding to hatcheries control group is on (ALT)+SHIFT+A (creating cam view on ALT+SHIFT+Q). This allows for very quick binding your hatches to the control and setting the cam. It is like one motion: ALT+SHIFT+A,D for example to bind your 3rd base to the hatcheries and set the camera control point.
2) Making the cams on Z,X,C also accessible with ALT and can also be set by ALT+SHIFT+key. Just like the other base cams. This allows to have up to 8 base cams, or 7 base cams and 1 creep cam, or 6 base cams and 2 creep cams, or 5 base cams and 3 creep cams. Just how you like it or how the game is progressing.
There is a drawback to this method though. Adding to the queens group has to move from ALT+Z to somewhere else. I am investigating several options:
- SHIFT+S (drawback: if you cycle through your bases, and see a queen you want to bind, you have to move your hand) - ALT+T (drawback: pretty tiresome to use) - ALT+B or ALT+SPACE (drawback: even harder to press) - TAB (drawback: the idle worker key has to move...) - ALT+` (drawback: also hard to reach) - ALT+middle mouse button (drawback: I have a scroll wheel, and it is pretty tough to press it well. Benefit, you can also bind CTRL+middle mouse button and SHIFT+middle mouse button to respectively add and create the control group for the queens.) - or let one cam not be accessible by ALT. But I think that people might make mistakes with this in the heat of the battle.
So, how do you think about that?

I can't quite comprehend everything that's going on due to lack of familiarity with your setup tbh. The only thing I want to say is that I'd also consider bindings involving mouse buttons: things like Control+Alt+Left Mouse Button or Shift+Alt+Right Mouse Button are viable bindings if you don't want to do anything with the mouse while holding these modifier combinations (like injecting or anything).

Hello guys
I was a high diomond player on eu.i saw this thread and switched to yaks.
I am facing some issues regarding CGs of army binding I need to know what control groups u ppl using for zerglings, rouchs and other army units?
One of the biggest problem im facing is when i select my hatcheries and make army units like lings some of the larva remains left and when i add it to army that larva also bind with the army, and issue become big when i made drones and these also come with army.
After playing 1 week on yaks there is no going back for me, this keys system is that great.

Hello everyone
I'm really interested in using this setup. However, I can't figure out how to load the set-up posted on Github, and the old links are invalid. Would appreciate some help!

The .txt file can't seem to be recognized by the game.
|
you need to name it "YAKS.SC2Hotkeys" and drop it in the proper directory: something like C:\Users\JaKaTaK\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\56456440\Hotkeys
(i see no reason why it would not work, if you're not successful I can try to reproduce on my side, limited time right now)

I'm sorry, but I did exactly that and the game still won't show it as an option. I feel like I'm missing something stupid.
|
by me it's working:
(I got some problem by saving from "code source" of the page… I was pressing Control+S on latest Firefox and as nothing occured I finally saved as but no file was saved – I write this here in case you faced the same issue, otherwise if the file is really in the directory it should be like the snapshot)
There are some unbounds, but it seems doable to fix them. I expect the larvae unit production keys to be a bit painful. A second pass will be needed to fix the new abilities that are not mapped on right keys

I have the file 'YAKS creep cam.SC2Hotkeys' in my Hotkeys-folder and it still won't show. I don't see what's causing the problem, because other Hotkeys-Files work.
