I know some of my timings were off.
I got supply blocked more than once.
Should I group my Hatcheries and Queens to make injects easier?
Anything I can improve on?

1. The first thing I notice is the weird build order. Go to imbabuilds.com and pick a nice build . I wouldn't suggest going for a cheesy build order when you're just starting out. You could do it, but then I'd suggest picking a timing attackish allin build and to try and execute it perfectly, as a way of practicing build order execution before general macromanagement. However a general macro build from imbabuilds.com would still be better imo. 2. Random spine, what is up with that? 3. Injects, try to keep energy at 25. you reached 50 energy way too soon. 4. lack of scouting. You know absolutely nothing until like 6:30. I reckon you have a lot to learn, so getting a read on what your opponent is doing should not be the highest on your list of priorities (basic macro and build order execution should). But still as a rule of thumb -> no expo by 6:00 means allin, don't drone too hard. It's currently 8:00 and I've seen enough to tell you this: find a macro build order on imbabuilds, try to execute it perfectly vs the AI 20 times (or until you get it right) try to have as little energy on your queens as possible while keeping money low and not getting supply blocked. You probably won't fully succeed at this or you'd be better than I am, already, but doing it decently is enough to get you platinum/gold league. These 3 things are the only thing you need to pay attention to right now, if improving as fast as possible is your goal: injects, no supply blocks, low money

2. to protect against zealot attack that never came. No attack EVER came. My opponent sat in his base the whole game and went mass stalkers, which I knew(from watching VODs), the counter was mass roaches. I had a mixed army at first, then changed it once I saw my opponent's army.

Really. If you want to play better, stick to macroing vs AI. You has 5000 minerals at 20 mins with 2base econ, way before maxout. You had 6000 mins/3000 gas at 28 mins with 1base econ, while you stutterstep roaches, on 115/200 supply. Macro>Micro. Up until Gold league, you can amove to victory.

You built your first spine by 4:00 which is what you would do versus like 2 gate proxy. But you didn't know what your opponent was doing, you were completely in the dark until much later. Anyway scouting and reacting properly is not what's important right now, just focus on those 3 things I mentioned in the first post.

About scouting. - You should scout at "general timing" (for exemple 6minutes) but do not bother to try to understand what you scout below a certain level. Why ? Because a lot of people do not make build order or make them with late timing and can switch to weird things. For exemple a Terran with Fast armory should be a hellbat push. But when i was in bronze/gold. It could mean : "A fast armory for nothing. A mass thor push with scv" etc..etc... Just get used to scout but don't overthink what you see because BO will be messed up or weird. About BO. Pick ONE bo. Just one. You can try to do it 3 to 5 times before each play session against very easy AI. Watch rep and note at what time you supply block, at what time your first unit comes out, and how many drones you have at 10" for exemple. With ONE bo you will win and lose. But it doesn't matter. Just watch the reps and compare it the what you noted against AI. For exemple : - If when you train against AI you have 60 drones at 10" and you have just 40 in your ladder game. Try to find where those 20 drones went. - If you see you have 100minerals in bank at 10" against AI and have 1K against your ladder oppenent, check what you did differently. You play Zerg and the first overlords and injects are REALLY REALLY important (especially in ZvZ). There is a cycle you can make. I remember it as After the first injects, get gas, after the second inject get tech. Dunno if this is valid (i don't remember sorry). But my point is, you can try to not go by timing but by injects. Instead of saying : "At 7minutes i need to launch lair". You can try to check for : "After my third inject i can go Lair". It's easier to remember to go by inject cycle than by the clock (especially at low level because you will be focused on the game more than the clock and it will help you to not miss inject too). A easy and powerfull build all around is the Roach 1/1 build. It's a build when you can decide to go allin or fallback to macro when you push. So it's a good build. It's a defensive build into killmove IMO. When you feel comfortable with your BO, you should win more often than lose. Then you can try to go for ONE build order PER MATCHUP. Everyone is diffrent but i got in Bronze to Diam in around 2month. - One BO for anything until gold (with training the build 5times by play session). - One BO per MU when gold until Plat/Diam (i got to diam like that). I always trained ONE of the 3 bo every session. I just looked at what i lost most against. For example if my worst winrate was against T , i would train the T build 5times before hitting ladder. - Scouting will come important around plat since players tends to have more crisp timing (it will still be sometimes off but a lot less than in lower leagues) so you will face one bo player just like you that will know what they are doing. I hope it's understandable and that i didn't told you bad things. More experienced players will confirm or infirm what i said :=) Watch out for Zheryn's posts in the Zerg help me thread. That guy is a gold mine for advice. One more thing. To show you how supply block and money spending is important. I got from Bronze to plat on NA with Terran with ONLY MARINES. with NO GAS. If you spend money always, expand, scv, marines, barracks and A move you will overrun a lot of people (i even have replay where i kill colossus with A moved marines without any micro) because if you are smooth with your production, you will have a lot of advantages against someone who supply block a lot.
