Hey guys, I am diamond terran and I´ve read the TvZ 4m guide that I found here. On an especific match up, I have a question:
How is the best way to play, as terran, against roach/hydra. I create a lot of tanks, infrantry, medivacs, but I still can´t move foward and win. If zerg split their army, I just have´nt enough firepower to kill all his army. Can you help me with some threads or youtube videos that help me to improve on this? I will put a replay of mine here, so you guys can watch how I play. I try to do as the guide said: wait until 6 to 10 tanks, so move on the time zerg is upgrading to Hive.

Hi ! I'll try to help you as much as possible, i'm top masters zerg (EU) but i can easily play terran at masters level so i have much to say about your replays ! And sorry for the bad english too ^^
I just have´nt enough firepower to kill all his army.
This is the first part. The build order.
Don't start the game behind because of it. You focus too heavily on microing your reapers, hellions, but behind it your macro is not too good and you're behind even you kill 1 or 2 drones
If you use the old 3CC Reaper/hellion, my build is :
12 rax 12 gas 15 OC + Reaper x2 16 depot @400 Minerals -> CC on the LOW ground (if you drone scout) and keep your 2nd reaper AT HOME (recommanded, because if he send 2 zerglings he kills your scv building the CC and you're forced to go back with your 2 reapers) @100 gas -> Facto @50 gas -> Reactor @400 Minerals (around 5'20) CC Then you switch rax <->facto and make a labtech on the rax (stim then CS) @ 6 Hellions -> (around 7'10 - 7'20) Lift your Factory and make a reactor, then start 2 barracks, one on the reactor and the other one next to the factory to switch them when the 2nd reactor will finish, then make another reactor with the factory 7'40 - Double Ebay, 2 gasses abit later, and the 4th around 8'30 8'20 2 more barracks and another reactor of the factory to switch on one barracks Around 9'30, make starport + ANOTHER reactor on the factory next to the SP (switch) and lift your 3rd CC to the spot, start an Armory, 5th gas abit later and when your 2 medivac finished -> go out and clear creep, and let the macro begins, add a 2nd factory and more barracks when you have the money for, stay on 5 gasses (don't forgot, you should be at 8 rax/2 facto/1SP before adding your 4th CC with this build)
I watched your replays and there is an obvious mistake
Where are your marauders !? Ok tanks are powerful but marine/tank is not the composition that you want to have against roach/hydra, personnally i have 3 labtechs on my raxxes and the rest in reactor, i attack with the 2/2, some tanks and generally i win with this push, but don't forget to start 3/3 because when it's done you don't even need tanks vs roach/hydra. Ah, and drop. This is the rule. No muta = drop, you don't go out before 2/2 so your only way to keep the pressure is dropping and abusing mobility, otherwise he will take all the map without any problem
OR if you want the noob technique : Keep 4-6 medivacs next to his base and keep the rest back at home (hide them ofc) and when he move out -> drop his main and force the tradebase (but you should have double tank production at home to defend your base.) If he choose the trade base, lift your 3rd and use these SCVs to defend. If not, kill everything in his main until he goes back to defend -> then you lift everything inside the medivacs and move out at 200/200
Hope that i helped you, and sorry again for my bad english t.t

Just one more little question: did you said 3 labs for maraunders, right? But what´s the proportion? 3 labs on 8 barracks? I do this on the lategame, but just against lings/blings/mutas. When I have 5 racks, whats the proportion against roaches/hydras? Need I to have 3 labs on 5 rax, 5 labs on 8 rax?

Personnally i use 2 techlabs on 5 rax

That was one of the longest games necessary. For you, his macro just outpaced yours all game. Look at his income; at some points early on, it's 1800 to 1200. And really, your major problem was your unit comp: too few tanks, no hellbats. Hellbat and tank will force the zerg to make mutas, at which point you can transition into thors while still doing a few marine drops to throw him off. Be careful though: without enough tanks to allow yourself to transition, the roach army will crush your thors as you try to counter the mutas and you won't have enough gas to rebuild the tanks, all the while the zerg player should be expanding like crazy to exploit the immobility of mech.
