But Post that video where you can get 20 - 25 hydra, with 2 spore and +1 done by 6 min. I really really say its doutful. if you really rush 2 base hydra you can get like 10-12 hydra by 5:45'ish. Vs fast pheonix's you need to have a fast third base up, and go into 1 1 lings into fast ultra andrenal glands. imo you will use your lings to map control, and to deny third/4th bases. Dont be afraid to have a safty RW or banes nest so you can get to hive.

The two of you can either drone up heavily (take 3rd) or play a speedling based style until you get to hydra/corruptor. Speedlings are really good because theres no way phoenixes are using their energy efficiently if they pick them up. Often times if its PT the terran will play hellions but with good ling control (if both of you commit to aggression) you can deny their 3rd. Remember that since phoenix cannot fight (other than lifting up key units) nor can they kill buildings, they're trying to play a macro game out behind it. So either drone up too (you wont be dying anytime soon) or go deny their additional bases. Once you get hive go spire and get viper when hive finishes. Spire because phoenix styles usually transition to tempest late game so you want corruptors. Also parastic bomb.

against easy comp -.- http://ggtracker.com/matches/6464437 sludge city (abusing gold expo) 19 hydra ready at 06:00, 5 making. 4 queens, 2x2 spore +1 ready at 06:32 speed ready at 06:25 this build can be refined some more, i just picked a random replay of my 20+ test build executions (patch 3.1.1). for me the most important point was to make lots of hydra, speed and +1 can be delayed a bit. you might say that this can die to like 10 different attacks and you're right.

If you specifically had trouble with one or two things the Terran does to pair with the phoenix, you probably would've mentioned it. Specifics like when to dedicate to killing Protoss or Terran thirds is a little beyond text forums vs replay viewing. The only time I'd dedicate to hydras is with more than 5 phoenix and you're seeking to kill thirds. Otherwise, more queens, spores on mineral lines.

More over, we have no map control because zealots and hellions easily deny lings from doing any damage not to mention bunkers, and pilon over charges. We were toying with nydas's but they are easily shutdown Also with that many phoneix, they are able to dive in lift drones and kill them even with 2 spores and 2 queens, It just doesn't do enough damage fast enough.

While I would give PT an edge over ZZ compositions.. its difficult to imagine that they have "very many" phoenix AND zealots AND hellions AND tanks... while your team only has (not enough) lings and a few hydras. It sounds like a macro problem. "Cant macro because they have too much stuff harassing" and "cant stop harass because cant macro". :\ So yeah.. for anyone to give more detailed information you'll need to provide a rep. Edit: It also may be the maps. Already during the HOTS era, airtoss was the preferred style for protoss players but with the slower economy, taking the second base and third was slower/harder. The hellion count would also not explode as fast (with the less worker start, allowing speedlings to still be effective for a longer period of time). These days, it is easy to secure the natural for all players, but getting that third base (esp for both Z players on your team) may be giving your team trouble because the maps arent set up well for 2 zerg players.
