If you probe scout you better check if its an early pool or a hatch first build. If there is no hatch and no pool the hatch is either at the 3rd or proxied. (P shuold help you with how to deal with early pool builds, as I don't do it so I don't know how Protoss counters it) Adept scout is usually good to see whether your opponent is greedy and droning heavily (minimal number of units and drones on minerals, with only 1 gas), building an early attack (not that many drones and ling or roaches are pumping out of the eggs), or teching up (drones on gas, more than 1 gas, tech structures, each one of these is a sign of a tech build, more then one and it is certainly a tech build). Obviously you adapt according to your play style (go macro if he is passive or try punishing it, and so on). I don't remember the exact timing of the plat league, but another scout can be helpful if you want to check whether the third is just a macro hatch or does he drone it as well (I guess its about 4:15 - 4:30 minutes). Oracle or phoenix openers are good for that, as well as early warp prism harras (depending on the tech you are going for). An early push can be a roach ling with a few ravagers, if you scout it prepare yourself with a few immortals or Void rays and you are fine (depending on your tech choice). In case he is greedy you are free to make your own decisions (go to a later stage and be greedy yourself, or punish it) For a zerg, each unit he makes is a drone less, so forcing units with your harras is good, as it slows his eco if he is greedy, and also scouts the possibility of an early attack you must hold. Not that many drones on the third or the natural and units pumping out of the eggs means you shuold prepare yourself for his attack.

I assume you do the standard 2 gate opener. Scout around your main base after the second gas in case of cannon rush. Then send a probe scout after starting your cybercore. You should see 2 gates 2 gasses and 2 pylons in your opponent's main. A gas or gate missing is either fast expand or a proxy all-in. In either case make a 3rd gate and a robo (both after natural nexus) and use you first units to scout around the map. A missing pylon signals a proxy as well. But this could be less committed like just for an oracle or hiding twilight+dt. If your opponent went for 1 gate expand I would go for 3gate stalker +proxy stargate with oracles. Here is an example game: http://sc2casts.com/cast19793-MC-vs-Zest-BO3-in-1-video-2016-GSL-Season-2-Code-S-Group-Stage (a lot easier if you don't mess up your oracle micro ) PvT: I assume you are going for standard 1 gate fe 19 nexus. Scout after your gateway. You should see a depot, a barracks and a refinery. If refinery or barracks is missing check if he went for cc first. If he didn't then he has proxy raxes. Also check if he starts orbital soon after rax finishes (it takes couple seconds for the scv to finish). If he doesn't he is proxying raxes. If you see fast second gas it is either heavy pressure (like widow mine marine drop+helion runby) or some form of all-in. Try to check add ons on his production to see if he is going for 1/1/1 (marine into reactor on rax) , cloak banshee (use adept to try to see what he has, might need follow up scout with an oracle if you went stargate) or cyclones (rax makes tech lab). The normal terran depot rax refinery has 1940 gas on the refinery when the rax finishes. If the gas was faster it could indicate a faster drop or proxy (like floating a factory in your main( of course try to scout for this)). The adept should see 4 marines if reaper into reactor. And 6 marines if straight into reactor. If you see more marines you know he has a second rax. In this case try to confirm if he has a techlab on one rax (so you know it is 16 marine double medivac stim timing.( this should hit at 5:10 but probably a lot later for your opponents.)) PvZ: I assume standard 1 gate fe 19 nexus. You can scout either after pylon or gateway. The advantage of pylon scout is that you can block their hatchery on most maps (Apotheosis is the only exception I think. Not sure about KSS or galactic I have those vetoed.) The most important thing here is to notice pool/gas timings in case he made those before hatch. If you see no hatch and only see a bit later pool scout for proxy hatches. The normal 17 hatch goes down at 0:52. Try to keep your probe around to see how much more gas he mines. If he has more than 1 drone mining gas after 1900 he is either going overlord speed or something aggressive (or your opponent is bad for which there is a high possibility in this case.) After that go patrol your probe in his 3rd base. If the zerg doesn't have his 3rd hatch soon after 3mins start to get worried. With your adept scout (I make adept as soon as cybercore finishes and send it across the map) try to scout for drone count/gas count/3rd base or any tech buildings. The zerg should have about 7-8 drones in his natural (adept arrives at about 3 mins). If he has 3 drones on gas still, more than one gas, less than 7 drones in natural or you see a roach warren/baneling nest it should be an all-in. Though especially gas management is hard for lower level players so it could be just bad play too.
