Need some help figuring out what is best answer to cannon rush (cr) in different scout moments.
1) Early opponent probe. When I see an early probe timing in my base, and I m pretty sure it will be a cr. What's the best option to defend cr in this occasion?
2) Low ground cannon are warping, while upper ground still free.
3) cannons are being warped in mineral line with path blocked.
4) Upper ground cannons are warping (guess here it's too late)
For situation 1 I think best option is to start a cr war, building own forge and going for warping more cannons while using few probes to get some initial damage advantage. While at 90% an early probe is sent is for cr, somtimes it's just for something else, so this will results in being far behind.
For situation 2 I usually pull probes, try kill his probes, sometimes just tried to go forge and warp defensive cr. 90% I loose. Some players just get a second nexus, MSC then just recall away.
What I try to do: - Infrastructure as far away from the cannons as possible, when I see it starting - Chrono out Stalkers and Mcore - Don't mine fully from 2 gases. I think thats more than you can spent in this situation - If the cannons are beheind your mineral line, dont bother attacking it if you have no possibility to surround. Just mine as much as you can for a new nexus. Here again your insfrasturcture should be as far away as possible. If your nexus falls, he has to invest more into cannons to kill ur gate, core etc.

I think the central part of it is to sick one probe per enemy probe, so if he sends two probes as they usually do you have to have one probe following each of theirs. You need to send at least four probes per pylon he is building to attack the pylon, given that you've started attacking it from the start.
Only mine a little gas, but do mine some otherwise you lose. If you can get a Zealot out, do it to help with attacking pylons or the builder probes or to run across the map to your enemy's base where he can hopefully cause chaos. Try to get out Stalkers, the MSC and pylons you can overcharge.
When they fail go for a Prism drop which should allow you an easy victory.
honestly i never get worried again. in every pvp I do a gate scout (sometimes even later, like after double gas). I keep the scouting probe outside base: if I see a cannon rush, I just do MSC asap and teleport all probes to a proxy nexus, then go for robo and kill him ez pz
