TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open #6 (EU)
The third TeamSpeak TeamLiquid SC2 Open (and #6 overall) runs this Saturday, Dec 11 2:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). This tournament will have a $200 prize pool and will be be held on the EU Battle.net server. The semifinals and finals will be casted by Incontrol and Orb.
As with the previous TL SC2 Opens, we will be opening registration early for professional players. Please only register if you plan on attending. If you feel you qualify for early registration, PM me to see if you qualify. As a general rule, if you are not prominently listed in the SC2 International TLPD, you will not qualify for early registration.
The TL Open is open to anyone with a EU StarCraft 2 account. Past TL Open winners include Select, AhhBoxxah, Nerchio, and Drewbie. If you missed some of those matches, check out TL's YouTube Channel for the previous casts, including the first TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open.
This will be the third of 12 TL Open tournaments sponsored by TeamSpeak, who have also provided us with a TeamSpeak 3 server for the community to use. The initial TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open Series announcement can be found here, and includes some words from TeamSpeak's Peter Kirk.
Registration will open at Thursday, Dec 09 7:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). Previous TL Open events have always had plenty of room even if the 512 confirmed spots are taken - if you sign up for the waiting list and check-in early, you are pretty much guaranteed to get in. To register, check the TL SC2 Open #6 tournament page for rules, maps and other information.

Man, I can't believe I got to play White-Ra, that was pretty cool (regardless of the outcome). I don't suppose I'll ever be seeing the video of that match getting streamed again?
Got knocked out in an embarassing fashion in the Ro64 (I have literally never played a game on Scrap), but I had a ton of fun this time! ^__^ Smashed a Platinum Toss really hard and then beat a Diamond Zerg by having awesome and superior macro (I'm in Gold). :D Too bad I didn't get to play any big name though, that's always exciting.

If you are referring to the ragequit.tv stream I believe it is down atm. I can't connect to it either.
Could I kindly ask someone for a LQ re-stream if it is allowed? My connection sucks and I am unable to watch the official stream without lag. I do not want to miss iNcontroL casting
Good god, tank friendly fire is just brutal once BLs are out!
I haven't heard much from all these Euro players in a long time...probably a product of more NA players going to Korea for GSL, and MLG really taking off.
if strelok had pulled all his scvs he would have won that game easily.. damn i just wanted to see morrow playing good zerg.. i just saw the final battle of the last game and now this..
oh my god, if terran can't win at the beginning of the game how can we ever hope to defeat the zerg? somebody call the avilophone! seriously though funny strat by morrow, especially on such a stage.
On December 12 2010 03:28 DoXa wrote: this is so crazy, viable strategy? only low ground wall off would be good against it
if you scout with the depo scv you can close your wall off in time, and i think just pulling all scvs at the same time and 3-4 on autorepair you win also not sure. works really well when they're caught off guard and don't IMMEDIATELY respond properly...
dreamhack: mouzNaama vs mouzMana now: mouzMorrow vs mouzStrelok... yesterday in a german tournament it was mouzMorrow vs mouzHasu in Semi Final 1 (the other Semi Final was (mouz)DuckloadRa vs mouzMana) and Morrow won the whole thing.
seems like mousesports is dominating european tournaments lol.

to be honest i can`t think of another decent european team?? i mean all the really good european players are either in korea or not in a team with lots of highlevel sc2 players..

mTw (Dimaga, Demuslim,) aTn (Socke, DarK.FoRcE), Empire (Naniwa, Kas) And Fnatic and Dignitas have many skilled Europeans as well. But you're right mouz is definitely the dominant team at the moment.
yo little constructive feedback on stream and cast: would be nice if you could put more effort in syncing up, because really, not being synced kinda ruins it. good effort casting from reps, don't expect anything else from teamliquid, but then please do it well.
also orb-inc seems good but you guys still need to get into your flow, since you override each other fairly frequently. other than that, props for a good cast!
can't wait for finals now. thanks to all the TL staff and to teamspeak, for making such a cool tourney happen ♥
i would definitely say that mouz is at the same level as EG. TL maybe not so much because of the korea-advantage, but still, mouz dominates europe and also international tourneys right now. so there is no big skill difference between the 3 teams.
On December 12 2010 03:39 Almisael wrote:seems like mousesports is dominating european tournaments lol.
Somebody should start an international clan team war. That'd be fun to watch... Mouz would def. be the favorite (among non-Korean teams).
You would pick mousesports over EG and TL?
Depends on format, but they may not be favorite over EG or TL in a winner's league format. They have a better shot in a bo3 for every player format though.

Yes over EG easily. EG lost to team vVv (not even that well known) yesterday. I didn't think of TL. Maybe TL is indeed better than Mouz--but it's close.
mouz is better than EG imo. IdrA ofcourse is the best player in both those clans, but I am sure mouz would win a cw against EG.
Naama, MaNa, Strelok, (White-Ra), MorroW ( not so much right now), are all beasts, so I am fairly sure if I had to rank those 3 teams, I'd say #1 TL #2 mouz and #3 EG.

I highly doubt it's my inernet, but oh well. Seems like it's fine for most people and they're not going to fix it for this one series anyway, so it's no use complaining.

I didn't actually forget him and I do think he is a very valuable player, but I'd say the aforementioned are slightly better than him right now.

Hasu's play in the dragon league qualifiers was great. Check out those VoDs and reevaluate.
Very nice tournament so far, and very good commentating by incontrol and orb. Awesome casting duo, I haven't seen orb since beta and I have to say I'm enjoying his commentary more than I remember.
The syncing problem wasn't that big imo but the apparent solution that's in the works sounds great.
Best wishes to incontol, and GL to orb on the solo cast (sounding good as of this post ^.^ ).

It's Bo5 for finals. I wish Morrow would have had one more spine crawler and had his roaches just a couple roaches earlier and he would have probably been able to hold that. Go go Morrow!

Why the hell is the TL stream so MUCH better than GSL; which I pay for and can't watch. Good job guys - I wish there were more of these tournaments. The picture is perfect; sound is crisp - I am seriously thinking about not paying for GSL anymore - if you can do it: why can't they.

so true.. this stream is of so high quality and no lag at all for me .. amazing job
Morrow should've gone for expansion rather than roach, and muta to harrass mid game. Insolense was playing very well today, never heard of this guy before but hes got some skill :D Congrats on winning the tournament

Can anyone tell me how many warpgates you can sustain (with average zealot/sentry/stalker production) while producing with 2 robo and 2 stargates ? I always seemd to miss the warpgate count and I do not have sc2 on my ubuntu laptop
I think Insolence has improved a lot recently. Before, he was a typical ex-wc3 toss just relying on 4 gating. Now he improved both his macro and his understanding of the game. The game on Xel-Naga looked as solid as a Socke game for instance.
Missed it! =( id hate to be the one to ask the probably stupid question, but will there be VODs and where can i find them. i love incontrol and orb's casting

So Morrow is climbing to the top again? Good news! I thought that was a possibility, but for a while I was worried he gave up after the Dreamhack fiasco. IMO he always had the talent, but I am glad he also had the stamina to learn Zerg.

I said back in beta it was zerg favored due to baneling busts.
And people wonder why I get frustrated on my stream when people choose to misinterpret and misconstrue what I say in an attempt to make me look bad
Wow... And here I was, being very anti-Morrow for having the nerves to beat Idra with the 5Raxreapernonsense and then, after Zerg is buffed, switching to Zerg... I'm starting to respect this guy more and more as I see him play. To quote for truth:

he starts with voicing his confusion as far as why strelok picked that map. Orb has noone to blame but himself for putting out there something outdated, irrelevant, and qq-ish like that.

Well even that is wrong because for baneling busts rush distances don't matter because the banelings morph in front of their door anyway, and speedlings are so fast that the rush distances really don't matter at all for them. So yeah, that was just totally wrong in that context as well.
That drone rush is really strong vs Terran, though. Undefeated vs every Terran below 2200 Diamond after like 15 games, someone floated to the semi-island but then I just won in a macro game. <3 Morrow.
