Official Website for information
Hey guys, this is Torte de Lini bringing you another possible BYOC LAN here in Canada for those interested! Here is the gist of the general information:
General Information:
- Location At Anime North Expo. in Toronto [Sheraton (Formerly the Renaissance)].
- Cost: The cost for the BYOC is free, however you need to have a ticket to Anime North Expo. If still interested, it only costs 40$ for a one-day ticket and after or before the LAN, you can check out other anime-related activities, events or stations!
- Time & Date: Saturday, 28th of May at 3 p.m to Midnight (the site says differently because this BYOC (Bring your own Computer) is for many other games including LoL and TF2).
- Prize-Pool (tentative tentative tentative, in the form of cash or gift-cards): 100$ for 1st (with an apparently nice glass/crystal trophy!), 75 for 2nd and 25$ for 3rd and 10$ for 4th!
- 24 to 32 slots potentially.
So yeah, the prize-pool isn't significant, the cost and size of the LAN is relatively small, however this is mostly for those within the Toronto area or going to Anime North convention anyways.
I, unfortunately, cannot be there. I was just serving an advisor for the people hosting and organizing this. I've been invited to commentate/cast, however I'm in the Montreal area, so unless someone is willing to give me a ride (I'll pay for gas and shit), I'll just be the guy to relay potential questions to the administrators and to post this topic.

Forfeit wins will be issued for the following reasons only:
- The opponent does not show up to play the match within 10 minutes of scheduled match time
- The opponent notifies you that they are withdrawing from the event.
Match Hosting Information and Requirements:
All matches are required to be played on the official Battle.net service. Use of outside applications to circumvent Battle.net is not allowed
All official streamers/commentators/administrators are the only one’s allowed to observe a match. Your match may be projected on the big screen.
Match Restart Guidelines:
If a player drops within five (5) minutes of the match start, the match must be remade and started over. If a player drops after five (5) minutes, the dropped player automatically takes the loss, unless that player had a clear advantage in the match. In this scenario, an official will make a ruling based on the replay.
Cheating:
Cheating in any form is considered a violation of the rules and will result in immediate player termination and possible expulsion from the event. Cheating / Hacking is considered any use of unapproved third party applications, this includes map hacks; disconnect hacks, or any third party program not deemed legal.
Any questions or suggestions. Organizations for lifts or to meet-up ahead of time, post here ;D!
Potentially interested parties can post here as well to give the organizers an idea of how many intend to show.
