Those weren't exactly terrible Ffields either Huk is definitely not playing his best by all means, he has a chance to come back through the loser's bracket though doesn't he? What are you talking about? One, Huk was behind. In a head to head battle, Select should have won that game. The FF would have split the army had the stalkers been there, which makes the lifting of them way more risky as one medivac full of units getting sniped is horrible for Terran. If you think a non upgraded gateway army (and the player is behind) should have a chance against against a Terran who is ahead that has MM&M with stim and +1 your logic is flawed. Select completely outplayed Huk that game

Other people might have taken games off of them. That's just what i remember. It's not like... so and so korean shows up and 2-0s everyone with no games being close or anything Yeah that was what I meant. Mana won against Nada in Assembly Huk and Naniwa won against MC in HSC3 Sen beat Zenio in NASL Finals Thorzaion won against Noblesse in GSTL Naniwa beat Genius in GSTL The code S Koreans really aren't unbeatable, it's not a surprise that someone like Select can pull off a victory against Huk.

He did make mistakes, he did lose units unnecessarily. Whether better control could have got him a win there I don't know but his control was far from perfect. He couldn't have done anything. He lost his sentries, no way to turn back, in fact there wa way to get back, but all SeleCT did is stim, well what do you expect. Stim cost health, but then medivac heal them anyway, so massing marauders and medivac give you free units.

Got ahead mid-game with his stalker sentry zealot ball but chose not to attack, tech'd to high templars while Select tech'd to ghosts. Select researched cloaking, cloaked his ghosts and EMP'd everything Protoss. HuK had no observers over his army so he got owned, hard.

So, what's cheesey about a quick 5/6 gate bust which cuts your probe production, and delays your tech by an eternity? Let's see..... If you don't outright kill or cripple the terran SCV line, you're pretty much fucked for the rest of the game. Maybe that doesn't fall in with your definition of 'cheese', but it certainly does in mine. Imagine if Terran went 4~5 rax after 1 rax FE and pushed out with a shit load of marines. If he does not do massive amounts of damage, he's screwed. That's a cheese. A strategy solely dependent on your opponent not catching wind. I think you might need to check your definition of cheese with other people and see if it lines up. Low tech/econ encounters have been a staple of RTS' since the beginning of the genre. Cheese is usually left for something very unusual. Like building bases in other peoples bases.

Its an all in, but cheese is generally reserved for proxy gates, proxy stargate, dt rushes, hiding tech. But progamers dispute this terminology and some just say its something that if not scouted, has a chance of working due to the element of surprise.

Auctually after the pressure he did, he was auctually slightly ahead because he killed alot of scvs, but than he got greedy thinking he could send in 5 zealots and 4 stalkers who all got killed with minimum losses for select.
