oh boy major is going to make incontrol his princess again.

Sounds great, go incontrol!!!

We all remember MLG Colombus, I hope?

i like incontrol, but i really don't think he has a chance against major here.

Would be better if the loser had to wear a dress to the next MLG. Hope major can take this one!

Major's no longer with sixjax? And did he change his id back to Terran?

Very confusing to refer to a player by a months-old ID. >_>
I thought this was about incontrol challenging various Terran players in a showmatch series or something.

I'm predicting 4:0 for Terran, Incontrol is just bad, no offense.

major is going to annihilate him lol

I remember incontrol stopped focus firing the tech lab with stim almost done and therefore it barely lived for major.
Pretty sure geoff would have won if he had kept focus firing the tech lab and actually killed it off preventing stim from finishing. But since the game went on for so long after that everyone seems to be under the delusional impression that major won by some ridiculously large margin.
Probably had something to do with him dropping mules and /dancing like the BM dick he usually makes himself out to be in tournaments
Either way, sure to be a funny match

I don't see major losing more then 1 game in this.
Go Major !

Let's hope theres no bullshit drama this time :D:D
GLGL to both players! I'm more of a Major fan myself, because I love Terrans who abuse multi pronged attacks and drops. While you're dealing with the drop in your main, he's killing your natural. Just the way I like it.

could've, would've, should've... your "pretty sure"'ness doesn't really mean anything... because you're just that, pretty sure, based on nothing... I'm pretty sure that geoff didnt focus fire the tech lab and pretty sure he lost...
if player a would have done x, player b would have lost... I'm "pretty sure" you could say that about any high level game... im confused with what you're getting at...

4-2 for incontrol!
I hope you read this incontrol and get a little hope despite all of the major amount of hate towards you in this thread =)

I think iNControL has just being sloppy lately. I remember the first game I saw he had great late game macro and decisions, I don't know what's he been up to lately, sucking so bad.
I'm cheering for you, Geoff, even if I'm the only one.

The spite shouldn't affect you, just play your games and if you lose then great, people are going to call you bad, it's not like you've never heard that one before. If you win, some people may call you less bad.
Just play the games.
|
come on incontrol fuck the mindless haters who just seem to take every opportunity to bash you

iNcontroL fighting!!!!!

training with demuslim and puma might have improved iNcontrol
given the current pvt trend, it would be hard for other protosses as well, I suggest that iNcontrol simply takes this as an opportunity to test himself in the matchup, results will not matter really. Would be happy to see the protoss win however!
btw, I am playing terran, so ~_~

No offense, but if Incontrol didn't get some secret lessons from MC he will probably get 4-0'ed. He's a great guy but damn his results have been awful Still Incontrol fan tho :D I'm sure u can change those results around soon.
edit: When I clicked on this topic I assumed it was gonna be some sort of weekly showmatch of Incontrol vs a terran

So on one hand we have a player that's undeserving of MLG pool play and is a bit hypocritical at times, but is a pillar of the Starcraft community.
On the other, we have a BM player who sheds names and teams without abandon, but who I consider more skilled than the other.
Hard to choose who to root for -_-

a mod please change title to MajOr to avoid confusion

You should really call him Major in the thread title.
|
good games incontrol i wish you luck, but major is my favorite NA player and he got this!
|
|
I think being a BO7 Geoff has less chance winning than if it was BO3. The longer the series the more mechanics and fundamentals and overall skill play a role in winning. If it was a BO3 I could see a possible win for Geoff through trickery, mindgames, and "cerebral play" as he calls it, but BO7? I just can't see it happening.
|
My brain says Major will win this, but my dick wants Geoff to win this so much more...
Incontrol hwaiting!

Major has to be the favorite but Im rooting for Geoff. It has been a while since I actually saw him play so I will tune in.

GL incontrol! You'll probably need some

Terran will beat Incontrol with ease. I can't really see incontrol taking any games off him unless its some 3g vr all in or a 4 gate or dt rush.

Geoff has a lot of talent. It's a shame he's currently wasting it by being a 2nd rate SC player.
Not being horrible. Perhaps he can make a ZergBong -> Nestea transition
But by spending your time trying to get to that plateau, it's time stolen from you succeeding somewhere else.
Not being mean, just trying to encourage a gifted guy to realise the best way he can serve e-sports is not by getting a shitty rank in a tournament populated by Korean also rans.
IC88 strikes me as a guy who doesn't like settling for meh and has made a really big effort to improve his play. So I can only hope he leverages his core talents, specifically timing and charisma. Just ask Anna. Pursuing a dream he will never attain will only cause him increasing amounts of self-loathing and rage.
Nigga should be running EG, not being a member, yo. It's like Artosis playing in the NASL. Whilst we all want him to win, fact is, this is about wish fulfilment, not a realistic appraisal of circumstances.
|
My wife says my point suggests Ms Prosser thinks you suck too. My point was that she appreciates your timing and charisma. Just to clarify.
|
Addendum: I'd hate to think someone misinterpreted my slightly cynical nature and thought I was taking a big dump on them, when I'd totally pay for their drinks and thank them for all the free entertainment if I bumped into them.

Expand with no bunkers. Major probably thinking this will be a walkover.

That was a solid closing out by Inc, so hard to Major do do anything to buy himself back into the game when a good player turtles with protoss like that.

Wow Inc had a huge advantage halfway through that push and then threw a lot of it away again hitting his head against that bunker. Still looking good though.

That doesn't make any sense, the games were fast, that would mean incontrol (the chicken) found corn very quickly? That means he's either extremely lucky or very skilled. He also found it very quickly twice in a row.
Also, what if incontrol doesn't find the corn?? was there a time limit on corn finding? Wouldn't that stress out the chicken? more specific please

Please take this as constructive criticism but the observing is pretty abysmal. I actually find myself getting frustrated because the observer isn't showing enough of what is going on.
e.g. when Incontrol had the voidray headed over he should have shown what defenses terran was setting up. (game 5)

his builds seemed good games 1 and 2. His build in the final game wasn't bad. I liked how he decided to take a nexus instead of warping in his first or second round of units that way he had a fall back plan. I just think he shouldn't have warped more than 2 stalkers on the high ground and just kept what he had to keep major in his base while macroing up. I think committing to that while u have a nexus down is very risky vs a top tier terran. I really didn't expect incontrol to win a game unless it was with cheese but he did the exact opposite by winning with standard play and losing with cheese. Glad to see major take it though. I'm interested to see whats going on with sixjax though.

Anyone got a brief description of the games IC won? Thanks Also any really cool games Major won?
|
pretty good series. tvp has that tendancy to be onesided after the first engagement so a couple of the games were like that but overall it was good.
|
On September 04 2011 09:40 Juvant wrote:Anyone got a brief description of the games IC won? Thanks Also any really cool games Major won?
The first 2 games were standard. Incontrol was able to capitalize on some early skirmishes that allowed him to transition nicely into a solid composition. The game between major and inc on shattered was nice. It was a 1-1-1 expo into a raven/6 tank push/contain. Major was able to take a fast third/4th since incontrol was forced to deal with the threat. Major was switching over to bio after he moved out with his push and just eventually overwhelmed incontrol with mass bio.
Also the game on shakuras was pretty decent. Major had some nice 2 pronged harassment where he was able to kill a good amount of workers, a dark shrine and probably 20-30 supply of units. Majors 10 minute-ish third helped him alot that game

Thanks Also any really cool games Major won? + Show Spoiler + First game was 1 gate robo expand into 3 gate robo for Inc. Major did a fast expand but built no bunkers and lost alot of units to immortals/ff. Inc took a third and defended some horrible drop play eventually getting enough colossus to roll mmm. Not sure if major had vikings vs 3 or 4 colossus.
Second game Major did a 1 rax fe and Inc did a 1 gate fe. Major sacrificed a bunch of marines to mass stalkers for some reason and lost to a counterattack.

Apparently sixjax didn't send any players to this past MLG so i'm sure that has something to do with it.

Wonder how artosis feels about this

Why even put Incontrol in this? He doesn't even deserve it.

It's a showmatch...

Why even comment on this thread, it doesn't even deserve it. Honestly there were some decent games, Incontrol has just had a slump lately and from viewing his twitter, he might be suffering from depression, so please keep negative comments to yourself.

I'm sure there is more to this story, sixjax in general seems to have gone dark and I think it's pretty much confirmed that they aren't sending people to anymore MLG's this year so the strong players are likely either stopping or trying to find new teams, and funded team spots are in very short supply.

Ok, maybe I just overreacted given his loooooooooooong history.
I guess I'll wait for a statement or something... T.T

they only didnt send us once which was mlg raleigh. I dont know how and where you guys get the wrong infos

Probably had something to do with him dropping mules and /dancing like the BM dick he usually makes himself out to be in tournaments Either way, sure to be a funny match
hehehe -orb- callin out someone for BMing hehehe

why being such a douche ?
he played very seriously for sixjax and you can tell his putting a lot of time in practice. sixjax did not send him to MLG and I think he even gave them a good chance.
I hope a good team picks him so that he will be sent to tournaments and/or go to Korea.
gogo major :D

Big loss for sixjax. I believe he was their best player. Sorry artosis, but I don't think your team can hang with the big boys any more

not sending him to 1 MLG shouldn't be the straw to break the camel's back...don't make excuses for terran; he's a clan hopper through and through.

Are you kidding me? Vibe? DDE? These guys are pretty damn solid

This is a pretty good result for iNcontroL. Taking 2 games off MajOr shows that some of the practice he has been doing has led to some improvement.
|
Happily surprised iNcontroL got 2 games.
Not very surprised that Terran left another team -.-'
