I've seen him do it a few times when he feels he can hold his ramp just a little bit. I presume the idea is to stop the Terran from being able to reinforce anymore and then come back to try win with a flank. Kind of makes sense if you're going to lose your nat given the Terran can always float to theirs to keep reinforcing while you eventually dry up.

Seems to me like he tried to delay the big fight for as long as possible. He had a "big" harvester lead so maybe he could get out a few more units during that time than supernova. Not really sure.
Seems to me that Parting could have just amoved for the win here. 3 banshees, no bunkers, 3 (or 4 ?) immortals, 3 thermal colossi...why wait or anything ? Just attacking from his main and from his nat without any form of micro would have been enough to win more or less.
It took 27 minutes but Rainbow finally secured a fourth.
Trying to push Nova's fifth and sixth with his whole army and leaving his entire main and production open to a giant mech army was a bit of a mistake though =p
Never felt like rainbow had any chance, that reaper just scouted everything and supernova adjusted and never lost control, ended up a pretty boring game imo

Maybe they'll use Aphrodite this time
Well, honestly Aphrodite is an equal choice to rainbow atm, shes like #1 Masters lol, from what I've from rainbow in this game, Aphrodite might be able to match that lol.

Woah, she's that good right now? Last time I saw her, she was between #10~20 Masters...
oGs have one top level Terran (Supernova), Slayers have 3 (Boxer and Ryung are not top class unfortunately), IM has two (Yoda is not top class). Slayers is still clearly the best Terran team.

Yes, this man speaks the truth. especially since MMA seems to be MVP cryptonite

In terms of results, yes. But I'm looking more towards the future. Slayers is still the predominant Terran power, but MVP is still the overall strongest Terran. However I think the future of Terran lies with Supernova and Fin. I agree with you... for now.
Oh and I forgot some others, so the list should be:
What is it with caster mistakes today? Both in the gsl and here I don't know how many times they had called one player the wrong name, units the wrong name and so on. It's usually not like this.
I think they'll be getting a new Toss soon enough. Anyppi from KT Rolster just retired and is planning to transfer to SC2. He's like MC, except that he's not as cool.

I think that they are casting from a north-american timezone, which means that they started at 6-7 am.
don't forget Clide for SlayerS and TheStC for oGs :p
dreamertt (in IM) has showed quite good TvZ.
We were listing good, proven Terran players. Dreamertt fits in about as much as Yoda. Clide is a fair call though, just goes to show how deep SlayerS Terran lineup is when Boxer and Ryung are worst than 4 other Terrans (MMA, Taeja, Ganzi, Clide). Too bad they're all bad at TvP...

Depends what your definition of 'proven' is. Based solely on results, then players like TaeJa, Ryung and Clide can't be included because they have not made any deep runs or beat notable players. If it's based on the skill shown within their games and their potential, then dreamertt and YoDa can be considered on the same level as Ryung or Clide.
Hard to tell how SlayerS Terrans are in TvP anymore, because there hasn't been any matches where they play against a high-level Protoss (who doesn't suck at PvT) since they added Puzzle to their roster.

Well Ganzi lost to mana, so I'd say they still have some room to improve, though mana is pretty great. I'd say Taeja's retarded amount of success in this tourney justifies the claim that he's "proven".
Oh man.. i hate these toss doing 4gate or 6gate. Losing to them is so easy if you mess up the scv pull or when thinking the toss stop doing it but didn't.
Protoss is still the weakness of oGs since they have snipers for them BUT the snipers arent good enough for more than a 1kill imo. (aslong the other team doesnt fuck up)

TheStc teched as quickly as he could after he expanded, you can see that he started to build medis even before toss finishing his 6 gates building. 6 gates was to couter terran being greedy, but stc started his depend well and barely had enough to hold. If he hold, he would be ahead in terms of tech and possibly in terms of eco 2 (depends on how many workers he lost.). However, in the middle of the defence he decided to send out a drop. Because he teched quickly, he just barely had enough units to hold and the drop decison caused the short of units. That is why he failed. We have seen lots of games which toss being too greedy and got punished, so there is nothing wrong if terran lost the game because of being too greedy in game.

I know. Never said these push are imbalanced, i'm just terribad against them. x) Not a lot of Terran start to tech with more than 3rax these days, didn't saw if StC had 3 or 2.
Zergs have to stop trying to get the protoss to turn around and forcing a base race, the protoss will never go for it because the army is too immobile and is most effective when it stays together, also a zerg loses their tech much faster and is much more crippled by it than protoss

They aren't necessarily going for the base-race though. Because of the warp-gate mechanic, Zergs can't keep killing the reinforcements like they do to Terran, so they have to go for the economy/tech/warp-gates of the Protoss to stop them from adding to their army so they can kill it off.

Have to split your army to be able to take out the Nexuses/buildings while being able to defend your own. Though, it was pretty much over when Inca could afford to rebuild his Nexus and Squirtle couldn't.
Thanks for the feedback in this thread, I will make sure to take it into account for next time. I never really cast korean games before, I did make a few newbie errors. I hope you had a good time though (:

It was not over. It was unwinnable for Squirtle at that point. But he can force a draw at least.
Btw, Inca + JYP could be a good code S level toss there.

They'd still lose a good number of games to Terran. Inca's Pvt is not that great and JYP well JYP is probably the worst PvT Korean there is.

You and Katu are doing a great job covering these events, very much enjoy listening to you both =)
If I had one bit of constructive criticism to give it would be to make sure to take stats off the Korean tlpd rather than the international one since it tends to be a bit more relevant in gauging performance against top level opponents ^^

Nope, it was pretty much over for Squirtle and Inca knew it (he went for the base-trade since he knows how to play it).
If Squirtle goes out to take out the Nexus/buildings, then Inca could go in to snipe the assimilators. If he split it like he did, then Inca would be able to kill whichever was the weaker force and win it from there. If Squirtle does nothing, then Inca mines from the base and eventually overruns him.

Thanks man, ill make sure to pass the message on to Katu :D I usually have the GSL tabs open while he handles TLPD stuffzzz.

Glad to seet that my fav team is still competitive even without the bosstoss... I'm gonna miss MC so much ;(. oGs was like HIS team. His image was so deeply tied with theirs QQ.
Supernova that's an impressive kill list :D, superclosetgosu. And vines FINALLY got a win in a teamleague! :D. And inca.... LOL pvp so gosu and his mind so beast. Sad bout stc and no forgg (i think he will be very good gstl sniper, with his monster timing pushes).
