Club3D are continuing to throw sponsorship money in our direction which is directly funding these showmatches. The next in the series will be a battle of the manner as much as it is a battle of the mana. Having already clashed last week in a friendly series, the most polite of rivalries will be decided in this BO7, played on alternating servers for the fairest latency possible.
But wait, there's more! - This'll be a showmatch to remember for one lucky viewer because they'll be walking away with a Club3D Nvidia GTX 560 Superclocked graphics card. The 560 is a really solid card that comes highly recommended as a mid-tier card for gaming. It can play anything on the market. You can be entered into the prize draw by simply liking their Facebook Page and leaving them a message on it so they know you were there.

Can't wait to play in this! Grubby is an amazing player and I'm sure I'll learn a lot more about ZvP in the process. Thanks for hosting this TB! hFgL Grubby!
Watched these guys play a showmatch recently for fun I think it was a bo11 and ende dup being 6-5 in Sheth's favour I believe, pretty keen for more games
If you've been watching Sheth's stream (and Grubby's play, esp. in tourneys lately) you know that these two are really evenly matched. Rooting for Sheth but gonna be awesome games regardless.

Grubby predominately uses macro play, not gimmicky protoss play. I'm pretty sure he's throwing in these builds specifically because Sheth saw that Grubby prefered longer, many-base games when they played a BO11 recently.
Grubby fighting! <3 Love Sheth too, two one of the most manner progamers out there! Both deserve huge cheers.

scout it and its a freewin pretty much. grubby however smartly opened stargate first map and picked those scouting overlords around the map up, maybe forcing sheth to position them differently? i didnt pay much attention but he did wait for the overlords that scouted him to be dead so... its definitely not a build which cannot be countered (else you would see it WAY more often in tournaments) since theres so much risk.

he scouted with his overlord, the gates were thrown down afterward. Overlord scouts are a coinflip. Sometimes you see everything you need to, sometimes you see nothing. The build is extremely difficult to stop unless you already have a chunk of units in your main and a chunk of units at your natural. Sheth made units too late.
well thats what i'm saying that it's just luck whether it gets scouted and if it does, it's a freeloss. so it can not be a super imba strategy like someine suggested here.

Grubby took his 3rd while harassing with the void/phoenix in game 1 o_O
Good catch, I missed that. It felt gimmicky to me because I don't think the third base had kicked in before he pushed, and because there was definitely a hole where he started getting colossus and had no real army.

I know, he's actually a really good macro player. Just expressing that I don't want the entire series to be him making cute pushes and winning/losing.

its up to sheth to hold it and make a macro-game of it. game 1 was a total macro-game, he simply has an agressive playstyle while playing macro.
sitting back and letting zerg macro the whole game usually doesnt work on this level
And scouting an 8-gate is definitely not a freewin. Especially not when there's a warp prism. This is partially because in the process of getting an 8-gate, you have 8 gates.
you can defenetly transition into warpprism-harass and taking a 3rd when u fail with the initial 8 gate push. ofc you will be behind if you fail, but its not lost.
game 1 was completly solid though, 3 vs 3 base, he simply finished when he could.
Sheth is playing pretty well in this game. That said, hate Mutalisk play in ZvP in general and hate Dual Sight as a map, hopefully a more entertaining game next time out!.

Yes, here. Sorry...
Daww and you're even from the Netherlands, shame on you =D!
Yeah, ah well... I also ran into Grubby once in Utrecht and let him pass without bothering him... do regret that though, don't regret not following WC3
Back to the match, are they using the less-fog-version of Cloud Kingdom, or not? -> Only saw it in SQ on Gom so far
gotta say it... i hate shoutcasting and people who don't know what they're talking about theorizing about sc, but i'm liking tb more and more. i enjoy tuning into his casts, and i like his other content. so pleased to tune in and hear him today.

Thanks, I am trying. Setting up more Showmatches and Procraft helps me learn more about the game.

Nah you can't just nerf muta's as they are balanced in ZvT. They might buff Phoenixes (ex: an AoE air to air attack) though
an AoE spell would be nice ... Sheth executed the perfect strat , holding with lings/roaches denying 3rd while taking more gas and mutas are just well mutas ...
sheth should've pumped pure roach after holding the huge air assault. hydras were a mistake. even 2 vrs banging on roaches wouldn't have been enough to stop sheth from killing grubby's third.
Hey guys, great thanks for tuning in to the showmatch today. Appreciate all the support! Special thanks to awesome mannered Sheth for the games, totalbiscuit for organizing the showmatch and Club3D for sponsoring eSports events. <3
