I think you misunderstood the sarcasm/humor/sadness/disappointment. Let me explain the context:
Slivek v. Supernova. Slivek undoubtedly gets leads in several of the games but doesn't realize it and Supernova pulls out wins out of thin-air by dropping over and over again and eventually causing Slivek to miss drops OR pull his army back enough to get back into the game. Some TL'ers, including myself, were somewhat sad and critical of Slivek because he just missed his opportunity. He had it and made unfortunate and obvious mistakes.
DeMuslim saw those posts and responded...

Read that quote. Understand it took place BEFORE DeMuslim's game. Think about what happened in his game 5. Then understand my "It must be really hot" comment" as being sad, sarcastic, humorless.

Agree. What games did DeMuslim or even Violet really macro hard? Game one was a baneling roach all-in. Game two highlighted Violet's skill rather than the English Terran. Game 3 once DeMuslim was well sieged in front of Violets natural it was pretty low APM stranglehold other than a few harrassing drops. Nothing close to Supernovaesque. Game 4 was just ugly. Game 5 a series of errors by both sides with DeMuslim just going that extra step.

Supernova is probably going to win this tournament while playing quite poorly and never leaving second gear.
Happy to see the Korean domination of 2012 continues.

Haha just saw the Kissing Vid with Rotterdam from Carmac. Brilliant haha. Those guys seem like they have a lot of fun

Ret might not even beat Violet.
If Supernova plays at his GSL level he will decimate Ret, but he's played very poorly so far. I feel a lot of Supernova's problem has been that his opponents are playing weird/cheesy/odd builds that he's unfamiliar with and it's costing him. Where as Ret plays as orthodox as it gets so imo Supernova will do a lot better because Supernova is a player who plays extremely well when he's in his comfort zone and can dictate the flow of a game but is easilly thrown off by something he didn't expect. He's very unlikely to get any of that from Ret who is an extremely predictable player.

If Ret beats violet he wins the event.

I really do laugh when people predict foreigners to win. Have you missed the last 18 months? Have you missed all of 2012? Koreans only lose in the month of October I'm afraid and this here's February.

..is he playing poorly? Or are you saying that because Slivko, a relative unknown, went 2-3 against him?

im pretty unbiased and judge players based on what i saw in recent games. i honestly dont know why suprnova got hyped up so much, i watched most of his recent gsl/wcg games and hes nowhere close to as good as people hype him to be.

I think you might need a new brain then, it's fairly straightforward english. I mean I can understand misconstruing the obvious sarcasm as an affirmation of your terribly selective memory but it's a perfectly well formed sentence.
edit: Oh wait I missed the word event! Well done sir I take it all back! In no way was that the obvious implication in the wording!

Because he's playing poorly. Bad micro, bad macro, bad decision making relative to the extremely high standard he shows in Code S. It's like watching a different player entirely.

Hope ret won't win, Go violet!

Yeah.
He only beat: DRG in TvZ Leenock in TvZ MC TvP Alive in TvT Happy in TvT SC in TvT
Nothing at all impressive about that.Mediocre players pull that off all the time right?

MC's TvP isnt his most impressive matchup. Also a lot of those games were just really really ugly.

MC has the best PvT in the world except for maybe Parting (one we see him play a few more games). MC is a great Protoss vs Terran player.
I don't remember the TvT's but Supernova's wins over Leenock and DRG were just beautiful solid macro play.
