He won two major European tournaments right before MLG while on Liquid. Not to mention that his "EG" MLG win and the last high-ranking Code S season were both less than a month after he got signed and the only thing EG had to do with that win was get him on an airplane both ways. The only thing that started with him going to EG was his decline. As many predicted it would.
Now I think it would be best before we jump to conclusion of causation. The change in the GSL format means that staying in Code S is now obscenely hard, and only 3 players (MMA, Puzzle and aLive) have survived through this period without falling to Code A once. Huk actually did pretty well in GSL November, only falling in the Ro16 to eventual runner-up Leenock.
Anyway, I do hope Huk makes an appearance against his former team tomorrow.

this could be really good series. EG in a slump atm, but this all kill format is much better for EG then the NASL one. EG have alot of their members that can easily all kill liquid (puma, demu, HuK, Idra and even JYP are all capable of all killing) whereas i can only really see hero as all killing EG. Should be fun though

Should be fun though I wouldn't say that HuK or Demuslim could all-kill, since Sheth's ZvP and HerO's PvP are all really good, and Ret, HerO, and Sheth have shown they can beat a lot of foreign terrans. Puma would be IMO more of a HerO sniper with Idra or JYP the main EG force b/c of their vZ abilities

Calling a hero, ret, Zenio, sheth, or TLO all kill. Probably one of the easiest predictions I've made. But one thing TL, if they send out PuMa first, don't send out a Protoss unless nony or hero is good and consistent at stopping 1/1/1 Hahahahahahahhaha. TLO would count himself lucky to beat any of the top EG line-up, and neither Sheth or Ret could all-kill EG. Sure, maybe they could take down a couple, but I know that at least Idra's ZvZ is better than both Sheth's and Ret's. PvZ is JYP's best match up, and I tihnk only Zenio would have a great shot at taking him down of the zergs. Hero is sick scary though, I do admit. Puma vs Hero should be great You never know. TLO beat MKP who's better than everyone on both teams, and I'd hesitate to bet on Idra in any match these days. Dude's too volatile. Let's just say most of the TL and EG members are inconsistent.
Very, very well put.

Liquid 5-3, hope to see some good matches. HYPE!

Guys...I believe that EG will take this match very seriously. Not only is Liquid a special rival team, but they know they have the skill to beat it. It would also mean more to kill that winning streak and start their own.
Based on that extra motivation, and because of the added pressure of most people expecting Liquid to win.
EG 5, Liquid 3
EDIT: I want to add that everyone is feeling so good about TL's performances that it just seems like it's going to be one of those days where everyone leaves feeling the opposite.

Since we're talking about team leagues, I raise DongRaeGu.

JYP looked great in his showmatch vs Dimaga so he should perform well against the liquid zergs although Zenio beat him in the NASTL. Idra has good ZvZ but he has lost to Zenio many times, and Ret and Sheth are capable of beating him. Puma is inconsistent vs zerg but can snipe HerO and Jinro. It should be a close match (although EG has been doing poorly in clanwars ).

Maybe, and it could be because we put so much attention and expectation on them. But Liquid and EG players are definitely inconsistent.

I think it's important to be fair here, because I don't think Huk's 'decline' had much to do with switching - he just had some insanely busy months all in a row (he traveled to like 4-5 events a month + GSL for a long time).
We'll see what happens with a less insane schedule.

Why would I be joking? All you care about are achievements, not skill. So what if PuMa won two NASL's.

PuMa vs. Hero would be one sided because Hero knows how to defend the 1/1/1

I think EG is gonna break their troubles in team leagues for this match. I say they take it 5-4, but I could easily see it going either way.

Since all of EG is in a total slump...i see Liquid taking this EZPZ
