Sheth takes the win over JYP? :O That was the only actual good game, imo. Sheth <3 :D
Sheth wins by doing an all-in that harcounters Puma's all in, Sheth such a beast! (wat..?)
IdrA loses 2 early blings which leaves him behind, the he runs his lings into Sheth banes(probably because of lag) and ggs when Sheth has a ton of lings outsie his base, Sheth such a beast, and Idra with another early gg! (what the fuck..?)
Sheth doing 1-base baneling and takes out Machine, cool.
EG is pathetic for losing all these uber serious skill-showing games, they should disband!!! (What in the actual fuck?)
Am I right when I'm assuming this was all that was said in the LR thread? No that's not what was said in this thread. Most people aren't that dumb. But then again, shit like this was said: Show nested quote +On February 21 2012 07:39 Aocowns wrote:On February 21 2012 06:37 Brootalbro wrote: EG is pretty good but as far as skill and shit, TL has more experienced, more skilled better players. Calling a sweep all kill since litetally any of the Liquid players can (and probably will) all kill the EG team even on bad days. Lol this is pretty one sided its hilarious. Calling a hero, ret, Zenio, sheth, or TLO all kill. Probably one of the easiest predictions I've made. But one thing TL, if they send out PuMa first, don't send out a Protoss unless nony or hero is good and consistent at stopping 1/1/1 Hahahahahahahhaha. TLO would count himself lucky to beat any of the top EG line-up, and neither Sheth or Ret could all-kill EG. Sure, maybe they could take down a couple, but I know that at least Idra's ZvZ is better than both Sheth's and Ret's. PvZ is JYP's best match up, and I tihnk only Zenio would have a great shot at taking him down of the zergs. Hero is sick scary though, I do admit. Puma vs Hero should be great Sorry, was just pissed to see another day of shitty games, and reading Idra's fanclub :C There is no denial though, many people actually said this, although I probably exagerated some. Please understand this wasn't meant to bash TL or Sheth in any way, and I am sorry if it came off like that

Just watched the VOD and wow EG got destroyed. I felt both the DeMuslim and Idra game were early GG's? In the DeMuslim game he had his lings in the natural but DeMuslim ran his SCV's away and then Sheth had to retreat to defend his own natural.. and after he killed the terran army they were both on 2 base still? And the Idra game was ofc early GG aswell...
Why didn't Huk play instead of Machine though? Seems all EG players are in some sort of slump. Grats to Sheth for sick achievement and to TL for advancing!

Idra didn't ahve that many units, and pretty much no larvae, against Sheths 15+ lings just outside his base. i don't think the Idra leave was early this time, and at least it's justifiable. Huk, as far as I know, refuse to play with lag

Who was the other foreigner who stole Idra's spotlight? Nony? More importantly Sheth!! Beast! I believe it was nony. I vaguely remember that thread, but I think it was when Nony finaled at courage on his first try--which showed more success than idra had at courage at the time, I believe.

Don't they change server after win / loss? i.e EG lose, they decide for next game which server to play on?

It was a past MLG, Nazgul and Nony. One knocked Idra to losers bracket and the other eliminated him. Both using sick blink stalker micro.
Nazgul still has a perfect record vs Idra to this day.

Holy Shit! Sheth all kill...man that guy has been improving like crazy.

I would assume it is played on NA unless both players are on same server outside and agree. Since it is an IPL tournament.

Just finished watching... From a purely objective standpoint, those weren't the most entertaining games. From a subjective viewpoint, this was an amazing series and a treat to watch.
Congrats, Sheth.

Watching live was very entertaining and nail-biting. I suppose you already knew the results though.

Am I right when I'm assuming this was all that was said in the LR thread? Sheths all-in does not in any way hard-counter pumas hellion/marauder build. Hellion/marauder is damn near the optimal response to a roach/baneling bust. The roach/baneling bust is designed to counter Bomber-style early 3rds, which are common on terminus, this should have been a build order loss for sheth.
Neither or you know what they're talking about. Puma aimed a timing which isn't all in at all with 1rax/1fact which is a low production. It has to do damage or you fail behind but it's absolutely not all in. Then Sheth does his bling/ling/roach all in which dies to two things: a tank with siege mode or lots of bio. It was a bo win but Puma wasn't all ining.

This is TLO and Sheth's year^^ Mark my words!

Why stop there? Hero and Zenio are showing good results in GSL. Tyler and Jinro jave been practicing hard. Haypro ended the year on his way up and from what I have seen, he is turning into a boss. Ret is and always be godly, showing good results wherever he goes.
My point is, this is 2012 and its the year of Liquid!

EDIT: Ok, I've cooled off now, done bitching
not to mention the zvzs were basically bo wins, machine going hatch first on talderim is suicide, he should know better and idra going pool first and losing a bunch of lings early
still give him credit for the all kill, but the EG hate is kinda nuts sometimes

Definitely thought EG could have taken this before it started. Sheth was just too damn good. I know that TL won the NASL team league game, but I figured that the all kill format favored EG. I still do, but Sheth played sooooo sick. EG didn't even have a chance.
Also, was it just me or did JYP look very mediocre? ZvP is Sheth's specialty, but I thought JYP looked bad more than Sheth looked good in that particular game.

maybe playing from kor hurt him, apparently JYP's PvZ is sick as fuck though, so I expected him to beat sheth

EG needs inspiration. It's like they don't care that they're losing...and so badly, to a team many people thought they were at the very least a match against.

I second this. Something needs to be done. If this was any other sport, fans would be calling for the coach's resignation and raising hell. Whoever is in charge of EG's pro team needs to really have a serious talk with the players about these recent showings.

kinda spoiler in the EU-rebroadcast if you can see how long the whole series take (right bottom shows a timer)

Sorry to hear about that. But the news this big has just been spreading too fast. Hell, it was even on the front page of Reddit at one point last night.
